As the demands of massive connections and vast coverage rapidly grow in the next wireless communication networks, rate splitting multiple access(RSMA) is considered to be the new promising access scheme since it can provide higher efficiency with limited spectrum resources. In this paper, combining spectrum splitting with rate splitting, we propose to allocate resources with traffic offloading in hybrid satellite terrestrial networks. A novel deep reinforcement learning method is adopted to solve this challenging non-convex problem. However, the neverending learning process could prohibit its practical implementation. Therefore, we introduce the switch mechanism to avoid unnecessary learning. Additionally, the QoS constraint in the scheme can rule out unsuccessful transmission. The simulation results validates the energy efficiency performance and the convergence speed of the proposed algorithm.

To the Editor:G protein-coupled receptors(GPCRs)are the largest group of membrane proteins with over 800 members,characteristic of a seven transmembrane domain1.By playing crucial roles in regulation of various physiological processes,GPCRs have been implicated in many diseases including diabetes,obesity,depression and cancer.To initiate different intracellular responses,GPCRs mainly interact with three families of effector proteins upon agonist binding:the heterotrimeric G proteins,G protein-coupled receptor kinases(GRKs)and arrestins1.

Denitration of Nitroarenes Under Ambient Physiological Conditions Catalyzed by Graphdiyne-Supported Palladium

The direct cleavage of C–NO_(2)bonds for reductive denitration of nitroarenes remains a challenging transformation in synthetic organic chemistry.Herein,we report a biocompatible palladium-deposited graphdiyne nanocatalyst(Pd@GDY/DSPE-PEG)that can catalyze reductive denitration of nitroarenes under ambient physiological conditions.Mechanistic studies support this transformation via the oxidative addition of nitroarenes with Pd(0)and subsequent ligand exchange to form arylpalladium hydride.This one-step reductive denitration via Pd@GDY/DSPE-PEG successfully facilitates the repair of the nitrated proteins arising from endogenic ONOO−and restores their physiological function,including blocking the apoptosis pathway in living cells.Moreover,Pd@GDY/DSPE-PEG was further successfully applied for catalytic denitration to reduce the level of 3-nitrotyrosine residues of proteins located in the mouse brain hippocampus in vivo.This study provides an ideal strategy for designing highly active enzymatic mimicking synthetic catalysts for the regulation of the nitrated protein level and the detoxification of nitrative damage of living cells and tissues.

Limit Test and pH Determination of 5-Hydroxymethylfurfural in Jiulongteng Honey

[Objectives]To explore the effect of storage time on pH and 5-hydroxymethylfurfural content in Jiulongteng honey.[Methods]The pH of Jiulongteng honey was determined by neutralization titration with sodium hydroxide standard solution.The content of 5-hydroxymethylfurfural in Jiulongteng honey was determined by HPLC.Chromatographic conditions:ZORBAX SB-C 18 column(250 mm×4.6 mm,5μm)from Agilent Co.,Ltd.,acetonitrile-0.1%formic acid solution(5:95)as mobile phase,flow rate of 0.8 mL/min,5-hydroxymethylfurfural detection wavelength of 284 nm,guanosine detection wavelength of 254 nm.[Results]The pH of 12 batches of Jiulongteng honey was 3.70-3.84 in the new honey stage,3.92-4.05 in the old honey stage 1,and 4.25-4.53 in the old honey stage 2;5-hydroxymethylfurfural was not detected in the new honey stage,5-hydroxymethylfurfural was detected in FM-001 in the old honey stage 1,and 5-hydroxymethylfurfural was detected in most samples in the old honey stage 2.[Conclusions]The pH and 5-hydroxymethylfurfural content of 12 batches of Jiulongteng honey met the requirements within 3 years of storage.There was no 5-hydroxymethylfurfural in Jiulongteng honey,but with the extension of storage time,the detection amount of 5-hydroxymethylfurfural increased significantly even if Jiulongteng honey was stored at low temperature.Therefore,5-hydroxymethylfurfural can be used as an important indicator of honey freshness.

Synergetic Bioproduction of Short-Chain Fatty Acids from Waste Activated Sludge Intensified by the Combined Use of Potassium Ferrate and Biosurfactants

The synergetic effect and underlying mechanism of potassium ferrate(PF)with tea saponin(TS,a biosurfactant)in producing short chain fatty acids(SCFAs)from anaerobic fermentation of waste activated sludge(WAS)were explored in this work.Experimental results showed that 0.2 g PF(g TSS)^(-1)(total suspended solid)combined with 0.02 g TS(g TSS)^(-1) could further improve SCFAs’production,and the maximum SCFAs content reached 2008.7 mg COD L^(-1),which is 1.2 and 4.5 times higher than those with PF and TS individually added,respectively,and 5.3 times higher than that of blank WAS on Day 12.In the model substrates experiments,the degradation rates of bovine serum albumin and dextran with combination of PF and TS were 41.3%±0.1% and 48.5%±0.06%,respectively,on Day 3,which are lower than those in blank WAS(with degradation rates of 72.3%±0.5%and 90.3%±0.3%).It was revealed that the oxidative effect of PF and the solubilization of TS caused more organic matters to be dissolved out from WAS,providing a large number of biodegradable substances for subsequent SCFAs production.While WAS pretreated with the combination of PF and TS,the relative abundances of Firmicutes increased from 6.4%(blank)to 38.6%,and that of Proteobacteria decreased from 41.8%(blank)to 21.8%.The combination of PF and TS promoted the hydrolysis process of WAS by enriching Firmicutes,and then increased acetic acid production by inhibiting Proteobacteria that consumed SCFAs.Meanwhile,at the genus level,acidogenesis bacteria(e.g.,Proteiniclasticum and Petrimonas)were enriched whereas SCFAs consuming bacteria(e.g.,Dokdonella)were inhibited.

Bi-directional turbines combined with rotary motors may be a feasible option for developing high power thermoacoustic generators with low cost.A general expression for the acoustic characteristics of the bidirectional turbine was proposed based on theoretical derivation,which was validated by computational fluid dynamics modeling of an impulse turbine with fixed guide vanes.The structure of the turbine was optimized primarily using steady flow with an efficiency of near 70%(the shaft power divided by the total energy consumed by the turbine).The turbine in the oscillating flow was treated in a lumped-parameter model to extract the acoustic impedance characteristics from the simulation results.The key acoustic impedance characteristic of the turbine was the resistance and inertance due to complex flow condition in the turbine,whereas the capacitance was treated as an adiabatic case because of the large-scale flow channel relative to the heat penetration depth.Correlations for the impedance were obtained from both theoretical predictions and numerical fittings.The good fit of the correlations shows that these characteristics are valid for describing the bi-directional turbine,providing the basis for optimization of the coupling between the thermoacoustic engine and the turbine using quasi-one-dimensional theory in the frequency domain.

Adverse effects of triclosan on kidney in mice: Implication of lipid metabolism disorders

Triclosan(TCS)is a ubiquitous antimicrobial used in daily consumer products.Previous reports have shown that TCS could induce hepatotoxicity,endocrine disruption,disturbance on immune function and impaired thyroid function.Kidney is critical in the elimination of toxins,while the effects of TCS on kidney have not yet been well-characterized.The aim of the present study was to investigate the effects of TCS exposure on kidney function and the possible underlying mechanisms in mice.Male C57BL/6 mice were orally exposed to TCS with the doses of 10 and 100 mg/(kg•day)for 13 weeks.TCS was dissolved in dimethyl sulfoxide(DMSO)and diluted by corn oil for exposure.Corn oil containing DMSO was used as vehicle control.Serum and kidney tissues were collected for study.Biomarkers associated with kidney function,oxidative stress,inflammation and fibrosis were assessed.Our results showed that TCS could cause renal injury as was revealed by increased levels of renal function markers including serum creatinine,urea nitrogen and uric acid,as well as increased oxidative stress,pro-inflammatory cytokines and fibroticmarkers in a dose dependent manner,whichweremore significantly in 100 mg/(kg•day)group.Mass spectrometry-based analysis of metabolites relatedwith lipid metabolism demonstrated the occurrence of lipid accumulation and defective fatty acid oxidation in 100 mg/(kg•day)TCS-exposed mouse kidney.These processes might lead to lipotoxicity and energy depletion,thus resulting in kidney fibrosis and functional decline.Taken together,the present study demonstrated that TCS could induce lipid accumulation and fatty acid metabolism disturbance in mouse kidney,whichmight contribute to renal function impairment.The present study further widens our insights into the adverse effects of TCS.

Two-dimensional(2D)materials entirely composed of pentagon motifs are of interest for their wide applications.Here,we demonstrate that in-plane polar symmetry can exist in ternary pentagonal monolayers,where the induced electric polarization is not associated with specific conditions,such as ferroelectric phase transition,strain gradient,and layer stacking,but is an intrinsic structural property coming from the orderly arranged polar bonds.Based on the high-throughput screening method and first-principles calculations,we find eight stable 2D polar transition metal compounds with a number of intriguing properties.In particular,their piezoelectric coefficients are three orders of magnitude larger than those of 2D elemental and binary pentagonal structures,and their bulk photovaltaic shift current can reach up to 300μA V^(−2),superior to that of 2D conventional ferroelectric materials such as GeS.Our identified pentagonal monolayers not only expand the family of 2D pyroelectric materials,but also hold potential for energy conversions.

心力衰竭是严重危害人类健康的主要心血管疾病之一。近年来,心力衰竭患病率逐年上升,部分原因来自超重和肥胖人群的快速增长。肥胖作为心力衰竭的独立危险因素,通过脂肪细胞释放脂肪因子、胰岛素抵抗和心外膜脂肪组织积累等机制,影响血液动力学、心脏结构与功能。目前对于减重是否能给心力衰竭患者带来直接获益,研究结果尚不一致,但体重减轻可使心力衰竭症状及合并症减轻,并改善患者生活质量。减重在肥胖人群心血管疾病的预防和管理中发挥不可或缺的作用。具有循证证据的减重措施主要包括生活方式干预、药物治疗和减重手术。

交通目标检测技术是道路交通管理部门进行交通流量监测、安全管控等核心工作的重要技术之一。面对大量的交通监控视频数据,需要使用检测速度更快、精度更高、占用计算资源更少的交通目标检测技术。为了满足这一需求,根据YOLOX算法和PP-LCNet网络,提出了一种面向交通监控场景的轻量型交通目标检测算法PL-YOLO。使用基于PP-LCNet改进的网络作为目标检测器的主干特征网络,使用深度可分离卷积代替YOLOX中的普通卷积,降低模型运算过程中的复杂度;根据交通监控场景下的车辆分布密集且尺寸小的特点,添加SimAM注意力机制模块,聚焦于更有意义的特征图像。实验结果表明,相对于YOLOX-s模型,改进后的PL-YOLO检测精度提升1.89个百分点,模型大小降低了54%,FPS从20.88帧/s提升到26.68帧/s。
