Regulation of different light conditions for efficient biomass production and protein accumulation of Spirulina platensis

Light plays an important role in the photosynthesis and metabolic process of microalgae.However,how different light conditions regulate the biomass production and protein accumulation of microalgae is mostly unknown.In this study,the influence of different light conditions,including light colors,densities,and light:dark cycles on the cell growth and biochemical composition of Spirulina platensis was symmetrically characterized.Under different colored lights,S.platensis all shows an increase trend within the increased light intensity ranges;however,each showing different optimal light intensities.At the same light intensity,different colored lights show different growth rate of S.platensis following the sequence of red>white>green>yellow>blue.The maximum growth rate and protein accumulation were determined as 21.88 and 5.10 mg/(L·d)when illuminated under red LED.The energy efficiency of different light sources was calculated and ranked as red>white>blue≈green>yellow.Transcriptomic analysis suggests that red light can promote cell growth and protein accumulation by upregulating genes related to photosynthesis,carbon fixation,and C-N metabolism pathways.This study provides a conducive and efficient way to promote biomass production and protein accumulation of S.platensis by regulating light conditions.

Diabetes is a common endocrine and metabolic disease,which is mainly caused by insufficient insulin secretion and improper secretion of glucagon by the pancreas.The mortality of diabetes and its complications is only second to tumors and cardiovascular diseases.At present,the research on natural drugs related to diabetes attracts much attention,and roses,as a traditional Chinese medicine that can be used as both medicine and food,are considered to be a new therapeutic agent for diabetes research in the future.In this paper,progress in research on the treatment of diabetes by rose was reviewed from the aspects of chemical constituents,pharmacological effects and their relationship with diabetes.The review includes Rosa rugosa Thunb.,Branchlets R.rugosa Thunb.,R.damascena Miller and R.damascena‘Hetian’.It can be seen that roses are rich in polyphenols,flavonoids,pectic bee pollen polysaccharide,quercetin,tannins,organic acids and other hypoglycemic chemical components.Modern pharmacological studies show that roses have hypoglycemic effects.It has been reported in animal experiments that rose extract can reduce blood sugar and improve diabetes symptoms.However,the clinical hypoglycemic effect and hypoglycemic mechanism of rose have yet to be clarified,and the comparative study of hypoglycemic effects of different rose varieties has not been published.

Rosa rugosa Thunb. is a traditional medicinal and food plant in Hotan region,which has important medicinal and economic value. In recent years,the planting area in Hotan region has been expanding. This paper described the cultivation techniques,planting models and field management,pest control,harvesting and processing of R. rugosa. Based on the analysis of the advantages and cultivation techniques of developing the rose industry in Hotan region,the paper discussed how to accelerate the development of rose cultivation and deep processing industry in Hotan region.

[Objectives]This study was conducted to investigate the effects of seeding rate and light on the seed yield and active ingredients of Vernonia anthelmintica.[Methods]With V.anthelmintica L.Willd as the research object,the seed yield was determined by staged harvesting combined with the actual cutting and measuring method;and the caffeoylquinic acids(CQA)were used as the characterization indexes,and high performance liquid chromatography was used to determine the contents of 3,4-CQA,3,5-CQA and 4,5-CQA of V.anthelmintica seeds under different seeding rate+light treatments,so as to compare the changes in seed yield and chemical composition of V.anthelmintica under different seeding rates and light factors.[Results]In Moyu County,Hetian and similar areas,the suitable planting rate of V.anthelmintica was in the range of 13.5-15.0 kg/hm^(2).For different harvesting purposes,the optimal seeding rate and light conditions of V.Anthelmintica were different.[Conclusions]The seeding rate and light conditions can be used to interfere with the seed yield and quality of V.anthelmintica.

[Objectives]This study aimed to investigate the effect of sowing rate,fertilizer amount and light on yield of Cichorium glandulosum Boiss.et Huet.[Methods]The Latin square design was adopted to investigate the effect of sowing rate+fertilizer amount,sowing rate+light on root and seed yield of C.glandulosum Boiss.et Huet.The changes in the seed and root yield of C.glandulosum Boiss.et Huet.under the influence of sowing rate,N application rate and light were compared and analyzed.[Results]In Moyu,Hotan and similar areas,the suitable sowing rate of C.glandulosum Boiss.et Huet.was 4.5-15.0 kg/ha.Without applying fertilizer,if the main purpose is to harvest the roots,the sowing rate of C.glandulosum Boiss.et Huet.is recommended to be 7.5-15.0 kg/ha;and if the main purpose is to harvest the seeds,the sowing rate is recommended to be 4.5-7.5 kg/ha.Shading will affect the root and seed yield.At the fertilizer amount of 450 kg/ha,the optimal sowing rate of C.glandulosum Boiss.et Huet.is 4.5 kg/ha.[Conclusions]This study provides a certain reference basis for artificial cultivation of C.glandulosum Boiss.et Huet.

膜分离技术已经广泛应用于污水处理领域,但膜污染是制约其进一步发展的主要障碍,开发抗污染膜材料实现节能降耗是目前膜法污水处理领域的研究热点之一。层层自组装作为一种膜表面改性技术,具有组装材料丰富、适用场景广泛、制备条件温和、分子水平结构可控等特点,已被应用于抗污染膜材料的研制中。本文综述了近年来基于层层自组装技术的水处理用抗污染膜的研究进展,在阐释层层自组装技术应用于膜污染控制机制的基础上,重点总结了基膜的选择和处理、抗污染组装单元的种类和复合方式、组装层数、制备方法对膜抗污染性能的影响,并对未来该技术实现膜污染控制的构筑设计和发展方向,如组装过程机制挖掘、制膜工艺优化、制膜成本降低、长期稳定性提升等方面进行了展望。
