A nitric oxide-triggered hydrolysis reaction to construct controlled self-assemblies with complex topologies

This paper deals with a directed formation control problem of three agents moving in the plane,where the agents have a cyclic ordering with each one required to maintain a nominated distance from its *** agent dynamics under consideration is a double ***,a directed formation control law based on the knowledge only of the direction of its neighbor,is designed by using the integrator backstepping technique,which can not only accomplish the desired triangle formation,but also ensure all agent speeds converge to a common velocity without collision between all agents during the motion. Secondly,with the purpose of relaxing and even overcoming the restriction of initial conditions of the agents owing to collision avoidance,we introduce the inter-agent potential functions into the ***,convergence guarantees are provided by using tools from LaSalle’s invariance *** results are provided to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed control laws.

Hydrolysis reactions are capable of directing the non-equilibrium assembly of biomolecular scaffolds to realize sophisticated structures and functions in natural ***,utilizing the proper hydrolysis reactions to construct controlled assemblies with complex topologies is still an arduous challenge in artificial systems and needs to be ***,we report a nitric oxide(NO)-triggered slow hydrolysis strategy for the controlled construction of biomimetic supramolecular toroids(STs),thus realizing their visualization of intermediate structures and regulation of geometry *** presented protocol harnesses hydrolysis reactions to control of non-equilibrium self-assembly processes for the construction of self-assemblies with complex topologies successfully,which sheds light on how the hydrolysis reaction rate can modulate the kinetic pathway of assembly,thus realizing the artificial establishment of bio-inspired hierarchical structures.

研究了三维空间中动力学模型描述的多飞行器在一组给定平面简单闭曲线上的寻迹编队控制问题,其中智能体的动态和给定轨道都是在固定直角坐标系下描述的.首先,通过管状邻域定理扩展平面轨道函数法,设计寻迹控制律,并用不变性原理证明了寻迹子系统的稳定性.接着,根据轨道函数与弧长函数的关系来设计编队控制律,使得有向通信连接下的多飞行器沿着各自给定的轨道编队飞行,并且利用图论证明,当通信拓扑对应的有向图具有全局可达点时,设计的寻迹编队控制系统是渐进稳定的.最后,对5架飞行器的寻迹编队飞行进行了仿真,仿真结果证明了该方法的有效性.这种寻迹编队控制律可以应用于大范围区域的信息优化采集.

Employing the spin-polarized density functional theory(DFT),we investigated the magnetic and optical properties of buckled arsenene(β-As) after doping a whole series of lanthanide(Ln) *** results demonstrate that Ln atoms can be stably doped into the single layer *** doping Ln atoms,La,Ce,Pr,Nd,Gd,Dy and Lu@arsenene behave dilute magnetic semiconductor(DMS) properties,while the Pm,Sm,Eu,Ho,Er and Tm@arsenene show half metallic *** of Ln@arsenene systems favor the long-range ferromagnetic *** maximum of Ln-doped systems' magnetic moments and magnetic anisotropy energy(MAE) can reach 8 μ_(B) and 7.48 meV,*** doping of Ln atoms into arsenene improves the optical responses in visible and infrared *** can alter the magnetic coupling between Sm and the neighboring As atoms and reduce the system's magnetic ***,strain can improve the MAE of these systems,accompanied by the change of the easy magnetization of Sm@***,compressive and tensile strains effectively improve the optical responses in visible and ultraviolet region,*** on the obtained results,we believe that the Ln@arsenene monolayer has application prospects in photoelectronics and spintronics such as high-density memory devices.

Multifunctional non-precious catalysts for hydrogen/oxygen evolution reaction(HER/OER) and oxygen reduction reaction(ORR) constitute the bottleneck in the applications in electrochemical overall water splitting(OWS) and Zn-air batteries. Herein, a trifunctional electrocatalyst of urchin-like Al,P-codoped Co3O4 microspheres supported on Ni foam(denoted as AP-CONPs/NF) was fabricated via a hydrothermal process and subsequent low-temperature annealing and phosphorization, exhibiting enhanced OER, HER and ORR activities compared with single-doped and undoped samples. Their surface self-organized microstructure and excellent "superaerophobic" feature make a high bubble repellency, which boost diffusion of reactants and electrolyte-electrode intimate contact. The codoping of Al and P elements into Co3O4 betters right the balance among surface chemical state, the increased oxygen vacancies and the promoted charge transfer. Encouraged by these synergistic advantages, the AP-CONPs/NF was further employed as excellent bifunctional electrodes for the OWS(low cell voltage of 1.57 V at 10 mA cm-2) and as air cathode for rechargeable Zn-air batteries(high power density of 89.1 mW cm-2), which demonstrates a great feasibility for practical applications.

A splicing mutation in VPS4B can cause dentin dysplasia type I(DD-I),a hereditary autosomal-dominant disorder characterized by rootless teeth,the etiology of which is genetically *** our study,dental follicle cells(DFCs)were isolated and cultured from a patient with DD-I and compared with those from an age-matched,healthy *** a previous study,this DD-I patient was confirmed to have a loss-of-function splicing mutation in VPS4B(IVS7+46C>G).The results from this study showed that the isolated DFCs were vimentin-positive and CK14-negative,indicating that the isolated cells were derived from the *** harboring the VPS4B mutation had a significantly higher proliferation rate from day 3 to day 8 than control DFCs,indicating that VPS4B is involved in cell *** cells were then replenished with osteogenic medium to investigate how the VPS4B mutation affected osteogenic *** of osteogenesis,detected by alizarin red and alkaline phosphatase staining in vitro,was decreased in the DFCs from the DD-I patient compared to the control ***,we also found that the VPS4B mutation in the DD-I patient downregulated the expression of osteoblast-related genes,such as ALP,BSP,OCN,RUNX2,and their encoded *** outcomes confirmed that the DD-I-associated VPS4B mutation could decrease the capacity of DFCs to differentiate during the mineralization process and may also impair physiological root formation and bone *** might provide valuable insights and implications for exploring the pathological mechanisms underlying DD-I root development.

This paper studies the problem of determining sensor locations in a large sensor network using only relative distance（range） *** this paper,we consider a synchronous communication protocol when 1) the communication delay between sensors is uncertain;2) successive packet loss is *** on the barycentric coordinate representation,our work generalizes the DILOC algorithm in the communication environment with time delays and packet ***,a synchronous communication protocol is developed,and the distributed localization algorithm is mathematically modeled as a linear difference equation with time-varying communication ***,the time-varying-delay model is proved to be globally convergent to the true coordinates under consensus framework with quotient graphic ***,simulation examples are provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the theoretical result.

Human S100A7 (psoriasin) is highly expressed in psoriasis and other inflammatory diseases; however, the function of S100A7 in wound repair remains largely unknown. Here we demonstrated that skin injury increased the expression of S100A7. Damaged cells from wounded skin induced the expression of S100A7 via the activation of Toll-like receptor 3 (TLR3) followed by the activation of p38 MAPK. S100A7, in turn, acted on keratinocytes to induce the expression of terminal differentiation marker gene loricrin through the activation of p38 MAPK and caspase-1. The differentiation of keratinocytes induced by S100A7 resulted in skin stratification, thus efficiently promoting wound closure. Taken together, our results demonstrate that the activation of TLR3 accelerates wound closure via the induction of S100A7 to induce keratinocyte differentiation. These findings also provide new insights into the development of different forms of treatment with skin wounds.
