Texture development and grain boundary phase formation in Ce-and Ce-La-substituted Nd-Fe-B magnets during hot-deformation process

In this study,the influence of Ce-and Ce-La-substitution for Nd in Nd-Fe-B magnets on their magnetic and microstructural changes in the course of the hot-deformation process was investigated to gain insight into further reducing the Nd content in fine-grained Nd-Fe-B hot-deformed *** found that the[001]texture and microstructure of the RE-rich grain boundary phases,which are the factors that de-termine the remanence and coercivity of hot-deformed magnets,were deteriorated by the Ce-and *** is because the volume fraction of the RE-rich liquid formed in the grain boundaries during the hot-press and hot-deformation decreased due to the Ce-and Ce-La-substitution,thereby in-creasing the friction between the 2:14:1 grains while the c-axes of grains were aligned by grain rotation and decreasing the RE concentration of grain boundary *** particular,the Ce-La-co-substitution further prevented the liquid formation within the grain boundaries of the magnets during hot-press and hot-deformation because the wettability of the RE-rich liquid on the 2:14:1 grains became poor when La was substituted for Nd in the 2:14:1 *** results indicate that there is room for further im-provement in both the remanence and coercivity of the Ce-and Ce-La-substituted magnets by intro-ducing additional liquid into the grain boundaries prior to hot-press and *** applying the Nd-Cu infiltration process to the melt-spun ribbons(intermediate infiltration,I-infiltration),both the remanence and coercivity of the Nd-saving(Nd 0.7 Ce 0.3)-Fe-B and(Nd 0.7 Ce 0.225 La 0.075)-Fe-B hot-deformed magnets were successfully improved.

Malware Detection Using Dual Siamese Network Model

This paper proposes a new approach to counter cyberattacks using the increasingly diverse malware in cyber security. Traditional signature detection methods that utilize static and dynamic features face limitations due to the continuous evolution and diversity of new malware. Recently, machine learning-based malware detection techniques, such as Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) and Recurrent Neural Networks (RNN), have gained attention. While these methods demonstrate high performance by leveraging static and dynamic features, they are limited in detecting new malware or variants because they learn based on the characteristics of existing malware. To overcome these limitations, malware detection techniques employing One-Shot Learning and FewShot Learning have been introduced. Based on this, the Siamese Network, which can effectively learn from a small number of samples and perform predictions based on similarity rather than learning the characteristics of the input data, enables the detection of new malware or variants. We propose a dual Siamese network-based detection framework that utilizes byte images converted from malware binary data to grayscale, and opcode frequency-based images generated after extracting opcodes and converting them into 2-gram frequencies. The proposed framework integrates two independent Siamese network models, one learning from byte images and the other from opcode frequency-based images. The detection models trained on the different kinds of images generated separately apply the L1 distance measure to the output vectors the models generate, calculate the similarity, and then apply different weights to each model. Our proposed framework achieved a malware detection accuracy of 95.9% and 99.83% in the experiments using different malware datasets. TonEBP expression is essential in the IL-1β–induced migration and invasion of human A549 lung cancer cells

Lung cancer has the highest mortality rate among all cancers,in part because it readily *** tumor microenvironment,comprising blood vessels,fibroblasts,immune cells,and macrophages[including tumor-associated macrophages(TAMs)],is closely related to cancer cell growth,migration,and *** secrete several cytokines,including interleukin(IL)-1β,which participate in cancer migration and invasion.p21-activated kinase 1(PAK1),an important signaling molecule,induces cell migration and invasion in several ***responsive enhancer-binding protein(TonEBP)is also known to participate in cancer cell growth,migration,and ***,the mechanisms by which it increases lung cancer migration remain ***,in this study,we aimed to elucidate the mechanisms by which IL-1βand TonEBP affect lung cancer cell migration and *** found that A549 cocultured-MΦ-secreted IL-1βinduced A549 cell migration and invasion via the PAK1 *** deficiency reduced A549 cell migration and invasion and increased responsiveness to IL-1β–induced migration and ***1 phosphorylation,which was promoted by IL-1β,was reduced when TonEBP was *** results suggest that TonEBP plays an important role in IL-1βinduction and invasiveness of A549 cells via the PAK1 *** findings could be valuable in identifying potential targets for lung cancer treatment.

The ex-situ incorporation of the secondary SiC reinforcement,along with the in-situ incorporation of the tertiary and quaternary Mg_(3)N_(2) and Si_(3)N_(4) phases,in the primary matrix of Mg_(2)Si is employed in order to provide ultimate wear resistance based on the laser-irradiation-induced inclusion of N_(2) gas during laser powder bed *** is substantialized based on both the thermal diffusion-and chemical reactionbased metallurgy of the Mg_(2)Si–SiC/nitride hybrid *** study also proposes a functional platform for systematically modulating a functionally graded structure and modeling build-direction-dependent architectonics during additive *** strategy enables the development of a compositional gradient from the center to the edge of each melt pool of the Mg_(2)Si–SiC/nitride hybrid ***,the coefficient of friction of the hybrid composite exhibits a 309.3%decrease to–1.67 compared to–0.54 for the conventional nonreinforced Mg_(2)Si structure,while the tensile strength exhibits a 171.3%increase to 831.5 MPa compared to 485.3 MPa for the conventional *** outstanding mechanical behavior is due to the(1)the complementary and synergistic reinforcement effects of the SiC and nitride compounds,each of which possesses an intrinsically high hardness,and(2)the strong adhesion of these compounds to the Mg_(2)Si matrix despite their small sizes and low concentrations.

Etanercept-synthesizing adipose-derived stem cell secretome:A promising therapeutic option for inflammatory bowel disease

BACKGROUND Inflammatory bowel disease(IBD)is a chronic inflammatory condition of the gastrointestinal tract,with tumor necrosis factor(TNF)-αplaying a key role in its ***,a decoy receptor for TNF,is used to treat inflammatory *** secretome derived from adipose-derived stem cells(ASCs)has anti-inflammatory effects,making it a promising therapeutic option for *** To investigate the anti-inflammatory effects of the secretome obtained from ASCs synthesizing etanercept on colon cells and in a dextran sulfate sodium(DSS)-induced IBD mouse *** ASCs were transfected with etanercept-encoding mini-circle plasmids to create etanercept-producing *** secretory material from these cells was then tested for anti-inflammatory effects both in vitro and in a DSS-induced IBD mouse *** This study revealed promising results indicating that the group treated with the secretome derived from etanercept-synthesizing ASCs[Etanercept-Secretome(Et-Sec)group]had significantly lower expression levels of inflammatory mediators,such as interleukin-6,Monocyte Chemoattractant Protein-1,and TNF-α,when compared to the control secretome(Ct-Sec).Moreover,the Et-Sec group exhibited a marked therapeutic effect in terms of preserving the architecture of intestinal tissue compared to the *** These results suggest that the secretome derived from ASCs that synthesize etanercept has potential as a therapeutic agent for the treatment of IBD,potentially enhancing treatment efficacy by merging the anti-inflam-matory qualities of the ASC secretome with etanercept's targeted approach to better address the multifaceted pathophysiology of IBD.
