Engine Performance and Emission Characteristics of Cellulosic Jet Biofuel Blends

Aviation biofuels have the potential to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and improve engine performance. Theaim of this study was to assess the suitability of various jet biofuel blends for use in a ZF850 jet engine. The effects of theblends on engine performance were assessed under various thrust output settings with respect to the thrust, thrust-specificfuel consumption, emission characteristics, exhaust gas temperature, acceleration and deceleration performance. Blendingwith catalytic hydrothermolysis jet (CHJ) fuel improved the combustion efficiency by reducing carbon monoxide andunburned hydrocarbon emissions and markedly reducing PM2.5 emissions. However, a slight reduction in thrust output wasobserved. Throughout the entire range of thrust output settings, the 10% CHJ fuel blend provided higher thrust, lower thrustspecificfuel consumption, and lower exhaust gas temperature. The CHJ fuel blends exhibited no significant effects on thedeceleration performance, while the 5% and 15% blends caused a 0.4 s delay in the time required for complete acceleration.Global sensitivity analysis was conducted to better understand the effects of the fuel blends on engine performance andemission characteristics. This analysis identified the critical parameters of engine performance as engine-influence and fuelinfluenceparameters and engine-influence and fuel-less influence parameters. The overall engine efficiency benefit was nonlinearlyrelated to the blend ratio and thrust output. The results indicate that the use of CHJ fuel blends can improve engineefficiency if they comply with the engine design and control regulations.

The Agulhas system is the strongest western boundary current system in the Southern Hemisphere and plays an important role in modulating the Indian-to-Atlantic Ocean water exchange by the Agulhas leakage.It is difficult to measure in situ transport of the Agulhas leakage as well as the Agulhas retroflection position due to their intermittent nature.In this study,an innovative kinematic algorithm was designed and applied to the gridded altimeter observational data,to ascertain the longitudinal position of Agulhas retroflection,the stability of Agulhas jet stream,as well as its strength.The results show that the east-west shift of retroflection is related neither to the strength of Agulhas current nor to its stability.Further analysis uncovers the connection between the westward extension of Agulhas jet stream and an anomalous cyclonic circulation at its northern side,which is likely attributed to the local wind stress curl anomaly.To confirm the effect of local wind forcing on the east-west shift of retroflection,numerical sensitivity experiments were conducted.The results show that the local wind stress can induce a similar longitudinal shift of the retroflection as altimetry observations.Further statistical and case study indicates that whether an Agulhas ring can continuously migrate westward to the Atlantic Ocean or re-merge into the main flow depends on the retroflection position.Therefore,the westward retroflection may contribute to a stronger Agulhas leakage than the eastward retroflection.

木质素制备航油工艺与能耗优化

木质素单体的环状结构使其成为航空替代燃料中芳香烃和环烷烃制备的有效前驱体。通过比较分析木质素加氢制备芳香烃和环烷烃、气化制氢、燃烧供热路径的工艺特点和物流信息,采用Aspen Plus进行不同路径的物耗及能耗分析。其中木质素制备芳香烃收率为17.3%~20.7%,环烷烃收率为17.5%~23.7%,气化制氢收率为35.519 g/kg木质素,燃烧供热为22.942 MJ/kg木质素。基于充分利用木质素的原则,以木质素气化制氢作为氢源,木质素燃烧作为热源,结合芳香烃和环烷烃制备路径,设计了多条木质素制备航油自供氢自供热的综合工艺。通过能耗分析和优化,得出木质素热解-烷基化-加氢制备芳香烃或环烷烃综合工艺航油综合收率为11.8%或9.2%,综合热负荷为7.357 MJ/kg或7.687 MJ/kg木质素;木质素热解-烷基化-加氢制备芳香烃和环烷烃(1∶1)综合工艺航油综合收率为10.3%,综合热负荷为7.538 MJ/kg木质素,综合氢耗为0.27%。木质素一步法加氢制备航油工艺虽然反应条件温和,流程简单,但仍需进一步改善反应体系以解决高能耗的问题。

High spatial resolution sea surface temperature （SST） data from 1993 to 2013 are used to detect the position of the Kuroshio Extension sea surface temperature front （KEF） from 141°E to 158°E, and the seasonal, monthly and interannual-to-decadal variations of the KEF position are investigated. The latitudinal position of the KEF varies with longitudes： the westernmost part of the KEF from 141°E to 144°E is relatively stable, whereas the easternmost part from 153°E to 158°E exhibits the largest amplitude of its north-south displacement. In the light of the magnitudes of the standard deviations at longitudes, then the KEF is divided into three sections： western part of the KEF （KEFw, 141°-144°E）, central part of the KEF （KEFc, 144°-153°E） and eastern part of the KEF （KEFe, 153°-158°E）. Further analysis reveals that the KEFw position is dominated by the decadal variability, while the KEFc and KEFe positions change significantly both on interannual and decadal time scales. In addition, the KEFw position is well correlated with the KEF path length. The possible mode leading to the decadal oscillation of the KEFw is further discussed. The KEFw position exhibits significant connections with the Pacific decadal oscillation （PDO） index and the north Pacific gyre oscillation （NPGO） index with a time lag of 40 and 33 months, respectively.

By extracting and comparing long-term trend components of coral gray value, sea surface temperature, cloudiness, and net heat flux for the period of 1946-1992, the relationships among them are addressed. There exists a prominent regime shift in the cloudiness associated with the corresponding variabilities of sea surface temperature and net heat flux occurred in the mid-1960s, which can be successfully recorded by coral gray value, a climatic proxy. Long-term cloudiness variations in the South China Sea are completely opposite to the equatorial western Pacific in the past five decades, whereas they share a similar trend to that over Asian monsoon prevailing waters. The fact that the coral gray value is highly correlated to cloudiness provides a unique perspective on utilizing this coral to study cloudiness variations in the pre-instrumental period.

Delayed baroclinic response of the Antarctic circum-polar current to surface wind stress

The Antarctic Circumpolar Current (ACC) responds to the surface windstress via two processes, i.e., the instant barotropic process and the delayed baroclinic process. This study focuses on the baroclinic instability mechanism in ACC, which was less reported in the literatures. Results show that the strengthening of surface zonal windstress causes the enhanced tilting of the isopycnal surface, leading to more intense baroclinic instability. Simultaneously, the mesoscale eddies resulting from the baro- clinic instability facilitate the transformation of mean potential energy to eddy energy, which causes the remarkable decrease of the ACC volume transport with the 2-year lag time. This delayed negative cor- relation between the ACC transport and the zonal windstress may account for the steadiness of the ACC transport during last two decades.

提高企业劳动生产率是中国发展新质生产力的重要内容,城市群战略是其重要政策安排。基于有效市场和有为政府视角,构建城市群政策影响企业劳动生产率的理论分析框架,利用11个国家级城市群政策数据与2013-2022年A股上市公司数据进行匹配,运用双重差分模型进行实证评估。结果发现,中国城市群政策显著提高了企业劳动生产率。具体而言:在发挥有效市场作用机制方面,城市群政策通过扩大市场规模和增强市场竞争,提高了企业劳动生产率;在发挥有为政府作用环境方面,城市群政策通过促进政府决策行动协同、产业分工空间布局、公共服务共建共享和交通设施互联互通,进一步提升了企业劳动生产率水平。该结论为进一步完善城市群政策提供了启示。

With the rapid advancement of new technologies and the transformation of the economic model on a global scale,enterprises are facing unprecedented changes in the external environment and more diversified demands from employees.Therefore,it is essential for enterprises to bolster employee engagement by enhancing employees’job satisfaction,building a stable and harmonious internal climate,and adapting to the dynamic,complex external environment.This study analyzes the positive effects of employee engagement on job satisfaction,explores the mediating effect of labor relations climate in the relationship between the two,and proposes corresponding practical countermeasures and suggestions.
