SERS and EC dual-mode detection for dopamine based on WO_(3)-SnO_(2)nanoflake arrays

As an important neurotransmitter,the detection of dopamine(DA)is of great significance for the diagnosis and treatment of neurological diseases.In this study,WO_(3)-SnO_(2)nanoflake arrays were synthesized on fluorine-doped tin oxide(FTO)by hydrothermal synthesis and pulse electrodeposition,revealing significant surface-enhanced Raman scattering(SERS)activity with an enhancement factor(EF)reaching 4.79×10^(7).The obvious EF was mainly ascribed to the charge transfer between WO_(3)-SnO_(2)and methylene blue(MB)based on chemical mechanism(CM)and the molecular resonance effect.With the competitive adsorption of DA and absorbed MB,we prepared a SERS and electrochemical(EC)dual-mode detection platform of DA based on the WO_(3)-SnO_(2)nanoflake arrays.The linear range(LR)was 5.00-1.75×10^(3)nmol/L,and the detection limits(LODs)were as low as 1.50 and 0.80 nmol/L by SERS and EC respectively.Besides,the developed detection platform can shield the interference of many neurotransmitters similar to DA,showing good selectivity and excellent stability.In general,the SERS-EC dual-mode detection platform can be well applied to the detection of DA in cell lysate,demonstrating great potential in diagnosis of neurodegenerative diseases.

The PACIFIC study ushered in a“tsunami-like”therapeutic revolution for stage III inoperable non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC)In the past,chemoradiotherapy(CRT)has been the standard of care for inoperable stage III NSCLC.Concurrent chemoradiotherapy(cCRT),if tolerable in patients,is the optimal treatment regimen.A meta-analysis has shown that cCRT results in a 5-year survival rate 4.5%longer than that with sequential chemoradiotherapy(sCRT)1.However,within 2 years after cCRT,approximately 30%of patients experience local recurrence,and approximately 40%develop distant metastasis2.Clinicians have explored induction chemotherapy3,consolidation chemotherapy4,and combination use with targeted drugs2,and found that none improve the prognosis.

An algorithm based on deep semantic segmentation called LC-DeepLab is proposed for detecting the trends and geometries of cracks on tunnel linings at the pixel level.The proposed method addresses the low accuracy of tunnel crack segmentation and the slow detection speed of conventional models in complex backgrounds.The novel algorithm is based on the DeepLabv3+network framework.A lighter backbone network was used for feature extraction.Next,an efficient shallow feature fusion module that extracts crack features across pixels is designed to improve the edges of crack segmentation.Finally,an efficient attention module that significantly improves the anti-interference ability of the model in complex backgrounds is validated.Four classic semantic segmentation algorithms(fully convolutional network,pyramid scene parsing network,U-Net,and DeepLabv3+)are selected for comparative analysis to verify the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.The experimental results show that LC-DeepLab can accurately segment and highlight cracks from tunnel linings in complex backgrounds,and the accuracy(mean intersection over union)is 78.26%.The LC-DeepLab can achieve a real-time segmentation of 416×416×3 defect images with 46.98 f/s and 21.85 Mb parameters.

Convective heat transfer and radiative heat transfer are two essential heat transfer modes in the heating process of steel;it is important to understand the role of them during the heating process clearly.The effects of the convective and radiative heat transfer during the heating process of a cast ingot in a tubular furnace have been studied by the designed natural and forced convection experiments and mathematical simulations.The heating time for the center of the ingot to reach the furnace temperature is decreased with the increase in furnace temperature.According to the experimental and simulation results,a model is proposed regarding the role of radiative and convective heat transfer in the heating process.At low temperature,the convective heat transfer plays a dominant role,while at high temperature,the influence of radiative heat transfer is larger.And a critical temperature exists between them.The forced convective heat transfer can enhance the influence of the convective heat transfer.The critical temperature can be shifted to higher temperatures.

Real driving scenarios,due to occlusions and disturbances,provide disordered and noisy measurements,which makes the task of multi-object tracking quite challenging.Conventional approach is to find deterministic data association;however,it has unstable performance in high clutter density.This paper proposes a novel probabilistic tracklet-enhanced multiple object tracker(PTMOT),which integrates Poisson multi-Bernoulli mixture(PMBM)filter with confidence of tracklets.The proposed method is able to realize efficient and robust probabilistic association for 3D multi-object tracking(MOT)and improve the PMBM filter’s continuity by smoothing single target hypothesis with global hypothesis.It consists of two key parts.First,the PMBM tracker based on sets of tracklets is implemented to realize probabilistic fusion of disordered measure-ments.Second,the confidence of tracklets is smoothed through a smoothing-while-filtering approach.Extensive MOT tests on nuScenes tracking dataset demonstrate that the proposed method achieves superior performance in different modalities.

Traditional linear motor optimization methods typically use analytical models combined with intelligent optimization algorithms.However,this approach has disadvantages,e.g.,the analytical model might not be accurate enough,and the intelligent optimization algorithm can easily fall into local optimization.A new linear motor optimization strategy combining an R-deep neural network(R-DNN)and modified cuckoo search(MCS)is proposed;additionally,the thrust lifting and thrust fluctuation reductions are regarded as optimization objectives.The R-DNN is a deep neural network modeling method using the rectified linear unit(RELU)activation function,and the MCS provides a faster convergence speed and stronger data search capability as compared with genetic algorithms,particle swarm optimization,and standard CS algorithms.Finally,the validity and accuracy of this work are proven based on prototype experiments.

Developing all-solid-state polymer electrolytes(SPEs) with high electrochemical performances and stability is of great importance for exploiting of high energy density and safe batteries. Herein, ether linkage and imidazolium ionic liquid(ILs) are incorporated into the multi-armed polymer backbone though the series and parallel way. The parallel polymeric ionic liquid(P-P(PEGMA-IM)) maximizes the synergistic effect of ILs and ether linkage, which endowed the material with low crystallinity and high flame retardancy. The P-P(PEGMA-IM) based P-SPE presents a high ionic conductivity of 0.489 m S/cm at 60°C, an excellent lithium-ion transference number of 0.46 and a wide electrochemical window of 4.87 V.The assembled lithium metal battery using P-SPE can deliver a capacity of 151 m Ah/g at 0.2 C, and the capacity retention ratio reaches 82% with a columbic efficiency beyond 99%. The overpotential of P-SPE based symmetric battery is 0.08 V, and there is no apparent magnifying even after 130 h cycling. This new design provides a new avenue for exploitation of advanced SPEs for the next-generation batteries.

Aggregation and stability of selenium nanoparticles: Complex roles of surface coating, electrolytes and natural organic matter

The application of selenium nanoparticles(SeNPs)as nanofertilizers may lead to the release of SeNPs into aquatic systems.However,the environmental behavior of SeNPs is rarely studied.In this study,using alginate-coated SeNPs(Alg-SeNPs)and polyvinyl alcohol-coated SeNPs(PVA-SeNPs)as models,we systematically investigated the aggregation and stability of SeNPs under various water conditions.PVA-SeNPs were highly stable in mono-and polyvalent electrolytes,probably due to the strong steric hindrance of the capping agent.Alg-SeNPs only suffered from a limited increase in size,even at 2500 mmol/L NaCl and 200 mmol/L MgCl_(2),while they underwent apparent aggregation in CaCl_(2) and LaCl_(3) solutions.The binding of Ca^(2+) and La^(3+) with the guluronic acid part in alginate induced the formation of cross-linking aggregates.Natural organic matter enhanced the stability of Alg-SeNPs in monovalent electrolytes,while accelerated the attachment of Alg-SeNPs in polyvalent electrolytes,due to the cation bridge effects.The long-term stability of SeNPs in natural water showed that the aggregation sizes of Alg-SeNPs and PVA-SeNPs increased to several hundreds of nanometers or above 10μm after 30 days,implying that SeNPs may be suspended in the water column or further settle down,depending on the surrounding water chemistry.The study may contribute to the deep insight into the fate and mobility of SeNPs in the aquatic environment.The varying fate of SeNPs in different natural waters also suggests that the risks of SeNPs to organisms living in diverse depths in the aquatic compartment should be concerned.

To date,hydrogels have gained increasing attentions as a flexible conductive material in fabricating soft electronics.However,it remains a big challenge to integrate multiple functions into one gel that can be used widely under various conditions.Herein,a kind of multifunc-tional hydrogel with a combination of desirable characteristics,including remarkable transparency,high conductivity,ultra-stretchability,tough-ness,good fatigue resistance,and strong adhesive ability is presented,which was facilely fabricated through multiple noncovalent crosslinking strategy.The resultant versatile sensors are able to detect both weak and large deformations,which owns a low detection limit of 0.1%strain,high stretchability up to 1586%,ultrahigh sensitivity with a gauge factor up to 18.54,as well as wide pressure sensing range(0-600 kPa).Meanwhile,the fabrication of conductive hydrogel-based sensors is demonstrated for various soft electronic devices,including a flexible human-machine interactive system,the soft tactile switch,an integrated electronic skin for unprecedented nonplanar visualized pressure sensing,and the stretchable triboelectric nanogenerators with excellent biomechanical energy harvesting ability.This work opens up a simple route for multifunctional hydrogel and promises the practical application of soft and self-powered wearable electronics in various complex scenes.
