BACKGROUND Modified Pulsatilla decoction(PD),a PD with licorice and ejiao,is a classic Traditional Chinese Medicine formula with significant efficacy in treating intestinal mucositis(IM)induced by tumor ***,its specific molecular and biological mechanisms remain *** To investigate the therapeutic effect and mechanism of modified PD in *** This study used an IM mouse model established using 5-fluorouracil injections to investigate the effects of the modified PD(3,6,and 12 g/kg)in *** primary chemical components of the modified PD were identified using liquid chromatography-mass *** weight loss,diarrhea scores,intestinal length,histopathological scores,and inflammatory cytokine levels were measured to evaluate the effects of the modified PD in *** on the TLR4/MyD88/NF-κB pathway were evaluated using western blot *** intestinal microbiota was characterized using Illumina NovaSeq *** The results showed that modified PD significantly improved weight loss and diarrhea and shortened the intestines in IM ***,modified PD suppressed the TLR4/MyD88/NF-κB pathway and downregulated the expression of reactive oxygen species,lipopolysaccharides,and pro-inflammatory cytokines(IL-1β,TNF-α,IFN-γ,IL-6,IL-8,and IL-17),while increasing the expression of the anti-inflammatory cytokine ***,modified PD protected the intestinal mucosal barrier by increasing the expression of tight junction proteins(occludin-1,claudin-1,and ZO-1)and ***,16S rDNA sequencing revealed that modified PD improved intestinal *** Our research offers new insights into the potential mechanism of modified PD in alleviating IM and provides experimental evidence supporting its pharmaceutical application in clinical IM treatment.

The LAMOST Spectroscopic Survey of Supergiants in M31 and M33

We present systematic identifications of supergiants in M31/M33 based on the Large Sky Area Multi-Object Fiber Spectroscopic Telescope (LAMOST) spectroscopic *** velocities of nearly 5000 photometrically selected M31/M33 supergiant candidates have been properly derived from the qualified spectra released in LAMOST *** comparing their radial velocities with those predicted from the rotation curve of M31,as well as utilizing Gaia astrometric measurements to exclude foreground contaminations,199 supergiant members in M31,including 168“Rank1”and 31“Rank2,”have been successfully *** sample contains 62 blue supergiants (BSGs,all“Rank1”),134 yellow supergiants (YSGs,103“Rank1”and 31“Rank2”) and three red supergiants (RSGs,all“Rank1”).For M33,we identify 84 supergiant members (56“Rank1”and 28“Rank2”),which include 28 BSGs (all“Rank1”),53 YSGs (25“Rank1”and 28“Rank2”) and three RSGs (all“Rank1”).So far,this is one of the largest supergiant samples of M31/M33 with full optical wavelength coverage(3700<λ<9100?).This sample is valuable for understanding star formation and stellar evolution under different environments.

Quantum Teleportation via Qutrit Entangled State

Qutrit is the natural extension of qubit in quantum information processing and has quite a few advantages that outperform qubit. In this paper, we investigate the feasibility of teleportation of an unknown qubit state, as well as an unknown qutrit state using a two-qutrit entangled pair. We show that by carefully constructing the measurement bases, both the qubit and the qutrit can be faithfully teleported from Alice to Bob with a two-qutrit maximally entangled state.

Dirac Clouds around Dilatonic Black Holes

Geochemical Characteristics of Zoned Chromites in Peridotites from the Proterozoic Miaowan Ophiolitic Complex, yangtze Craton: Implications for Element Mobility and Tectonic Setting

The chrome spinel(chromite)in mantle peridotites from ophiolites can shed light on the formation and evolution process of *** chromites were found in the Late Proterozoic Miaowan ophiolitic complex(MOC),yangtze *** to the metamorphism and intense deformation,most chromite grains in the MOC peridotites show typical chemical zoning(core-rim texture).The values of major and trace elements largely vary from core to rim within chromite grains,indicating that the chromites have undergone strong alteration and element *** and trace elements in the core parts of chromites are used to infer the tectonic origins and evolution of mantle peridotites in the *** chromites from the MOC peridotites have higher Cr#values and lower Ni and Ga contents with respect to those from Phanero-zoic mantle peridotites,indicating a higher degree of ***-situ major and trace elements(e.g.,Ga)characteristics of podiform chromites in the MOC show that chromites from both harzburgites and dunites have strong subduction-related signatures,indicating that the MOC has formed in a supra-subduction setting which is consistent with the geological and geochemical data presented in previous studies.

Tailoring edge and interface states in topological metastructures exhibiting the acoustic valley Hall effect

In this study, we investigate the acoustic topological insulator or topological metastructure, where an acoustic wave can exist only in an edge or interface state instead of propagating in bulk. Breaking the structural symmetry enables the opening of the Dirac cone in the band structure and the generation of a new band gap, wherein a topological edge or interface state ***, we systematically analyze two types of topological states that stem from the acoustic valley Hall effect mechanism;one type is confined to the boundary, whereas the other type can be observed at the interface between two topologically different structures. Results denote that the selection of different boundaries along with appropriately designed interfaces provides the acoustic waves in the band gap range with abilities of one-way propagation, dual-channel propagation, immunity from backscattering at sharp corners, and/or transition between propagation at interfaces and boundaries. Furthermore, we show that the acoustic wave propagation paths can be tailored in diverse and arbitrary ways by combing the two aforementioned types of topological states.

A Numerical-analytic Method for Quickly Predicting Springback of Numerical Control Bending of Thin-walled Tube

Springback is one of important factors influencing the forming quality of numerical control （NC） bending of thin-walled tube. In this paper, a numerical-analytic method for springback angle prediction of the process was put forward. The method is based on springback angle model derived using analytic method and simulation results from three-dimensional （3D） rigid-plastic finite element method （FEM）. The method is validated through comparison with experimental results. The features of the method are as follows：（1） The method is high in efficiency because it combines advantages of rigid-plastic FEM and analytic method. （2） The method is satisfactory in accuracy, since the field variables used in the model is resulting from 3D rigid-plastic FEM solution, and the effects both of axial force and strain neutral axis shift have been included. （3） Research on multi-factor effects can be carried out using the method due to its advantage inheriting from rigid-plastic FEM. The method described here is also of general significance to other bending processes.

Response mechanism of Chlamydomonas reinhardtii to nanoscale bismuth oxyiodide(nano-BiOI):Integrating analysis of mineral nutrient metabolism and metabolomics

Nanoscale bismuth oxyiodide(nano-BiOI) is widely studied and applied in environmental applications and biomedical fields, with the consequence that it may be deposited into aquatic environments. However, the impact of nano-Bi OI on aquatic ecosystems, especially freshwater microalga, remains limited. Herein, the nano-Bi OI was synthesized and its response mechanism towards microalga Chlamydomonas reinhardtii was evaluated. Results showed that a low concentration of nano-Bi OI(5 mg/L) could stimulate algal growth at the early stage of stress. With the increase in concentration, the growth rate of algal cells was inhibited and showed a dose effect. Intracellular reactive oxygen species(ROS) were significantly induced and accompanied by enhanced lipid peroxidation, decreased nonspecific esterase activity, and significantly upregulated glutathione S-transferase activity(GST) activity. Mineral nutrient metabolism analysis showed that nano-Bi OI significantly interfered with the mineral nutrients of the algae. Non-targeted metabolomics identified 35 different metabolites(DEMs, 22 upregulated, and 13 downregulated) under 100 mg/L Bi OI *** pathway analysis demonstrated that a high concentration of nano-Bi OI significantly induced metabolic pathways related to amino acid biosynthesis, lipid biosynthesis,and glutathione biosynthesis, and significantly inhibited the sterol biosynthesis *** finding will contribute to understanding the toxicological mechanisms of nano-Bi OI on C. reinhardtii.
