Modeling the effects of plastic film mulching on irrigated maize yield and water use efficiency in sub-humid Northeast China

In sub-humid Northeast China,plastic film mulching(PFM)is increasingly used with drip irrigation system in maize(Zea mays L.)to cope with seasonal droughts and low temperatures during seedling stage.Although there were several studies showing the benefits of PFM on maize production in the region,quantification of the effects of PFM in sub-humid Northeast China are still lacking.Hybrid-Maize model has a special version that can not only simulate the effects of PFM on reduction of soil evaporation and rise of topsoil temperature,but also simulate the effects of PFM on crop development and other physiological processes.This paper reports how to verify the Hybrid-Maize model against observations and then applying the model to quantify effects of PFM on grain yield and water use efficiency(WUE)under irrigated scenarios.The Hybrid-Maize model was added the heating effects of PFM on rising surface-soil temperature and promoting subsequent crop development by establishing equations between surface-soil temperature and air temperature before V6 stage.A 3-year field experiment including maize growth and yield data measured at a drip-irrigated field in Heilongjiang Province was used to serve the model calibration.The simulated results indicated that the Hybrid-Maize model performed well in simulation of seasonal soil water storage and in-season aboveground dry matter in three years,but overestimated the leaf area index(LAI)for both treatments and underestimated the final aboveground dry matter at maturity for mulched treatments.Although the Hybrid-Maize model overestimated the grain yield and WUE,it did still reflect the effects of PFM on increasing grain yield and WUE during the three growing seasons.The average simulated grain yield and WUE for mulched treatments were 8%and 13%greater compared to non-mulched treatments using 30 years weather data,which were in agreement with observations that average grain yield and WUE was 11%and 14%increased by PFM,respectively.For evapotranspiration(ET),the average simulated ET for mul

Energy Absorption by 3D-Printed Mesh Structures with a Negative Poisson’s Ratio

A negative Poisson's ratio(NPR)structure represents optimal impact-resistance with applications in various fields,including the crash box in vehicles,which absorbs impact kinetic energy.The crash box is designed to deform in response to impact,increasing local structural density,which enhances impact resistance performance.Current studies have only focused on the NPR effect in the plane dimension at low-speed loads.Few studies have considered high-speed impact loads on three-dimensional NPR structures.We have developed two types of AlSi10Mg alloy energy-absorbing structures with NPR using three-dimensional printing technology,and have compared our systems with a conventional hexagonal mesh structure.Sample testing involved split-Hopkinson pressure bar measurements,which showed good agreement with dynamic numerical simulations.When subjected to an impact load,the NPR structure exhibited better impact resistance and energy absorption compared with the positive Poisson's ratio structure.The proposed dual-layer hexagonal structure ensures an NPR effect while exhibiting higher strength and improved stability relative to the conventional concave hexagon structure.

Structures and properties of [CoPt/Ag]_(n) multilayer films

The magnetic properties and structures of [CoPt/Ag]n multilayer films deposited by DC magnetron sputtering have been studied. During the deposited process, two kinds of deposited sequences, that is Ag layer (FDAG) first deposited or CoPt layer (FDCP) first deposited, have been chosen. The results show that the microstructures and coercivities were strongly influenced by the deposited sequence and the thickness of films. The coercivities of [Ag/CoPt]n with FDAG are obviously higher than those of [CoPt/Ag]n with FDCP. Especially, when the thickness of films is 8 nm, the difference of coercivities between the FDAG film and the FDCP film is the largest. It is possibly because Ag plays a role of underlayer in FDAG multilayers, which can induce both the transformation from fcc to fct and the oriented growth along c-axis. In addition, δ M curves reveal that the [CoPt/Ag]8 multilayer film has a lower intergrain interaction than the CoPt/Ag bilayer film.

Phase-engineering modulation of Mn-based oxide cathode for constructing super-stable sodium storage

The Mn-based oxide cathode with enriched crystal phase structure and component diversity can provide the excellent chemistry structure for Na-ion batteries.Nevertheless,the broad application prospect is obstructed by the sluggish Na^(+)kinetics and the phase transitions upon cycling.Herein,we establish the thermodynamically stable phase diagram of various Mn-based oxide composites precisely controlled by sodium content tailoring strategy coupling with co-doping and solid-state reaction.The chemical environment of the P2/P'3 and P2/P3 biphasic composites indicate that the charge compensation mechanism stems from the cooperative contribution of anions and cations.Benefiting from the no phase transition to scavenge the structure strain,P2/P'3 electrode can deliver long cycling stability(capacity retention of 73.8%after 1000 cycles at 10 C)and outstanding rate properties(the discharge capacity of 84.08 mA h g^(-1)at 20 C)than P2/P3 electrode.Furthermore,the DFT calculation demonstrates that the introducing novel P'3 phase can significantly regulate the Na^(+)reaction dynamics and modify the local electron configuration of Mn.The effective phase engineering can provide a reference for designing other high-performance electrode materials for Na-ion batteries.

The layered metal oxides are reviewed as the hopeful cathode materials for high-performance sodium-ion batteries(SIBs)due to their large theoretical capacity,favorable two-dimensional(2D)ion diffusion channel,and simple manipuility.However,their cycling stability,rate capability,and thermal stability are still significantly concerned and highlighted before further practical application.The chemical,mechanical and electrochemical stability of the cathode–electrolyte interfaces upon cycling is of great significance.Herein,the unique structural and electrochemical properties of the layered oxide cathode materials for SIB are reviewed.The mechanism of bulk/surface degradation induced by oxygen evolution,phase transition,microcrack,and electrolyte decomposition is thoroughly understood.Furthermore,the interfacial engineering to construct stable interface through various effective methods is fully discussed.The future outlook and challenges for interfacial engineering in this filed are also summarized.This review should shed light on the rational design and construct of robust interface for applications of superior layered oxide cathodes in SIB and may suggest future research directions.

焦炭强度指标和炼焦煤煤质的相关关系是制约利用焦炭质量预测模型指导配煤炼焦的一个重要因素。研究了焦炭强度指标固定时,配合煤料的煤岩指标之间的相关关系,并将研究结果用于指导配煤炼焦。为较大范围的调整煤料的CBI和SI指数,选择了4个矿点的煤料进行筛分,选取部分粒级进行炼焦。通过调整配合煤料的CBI和SI指标,利用小焦炉炼焦,分别探索焦炭机械强度M_(40)≥86%、M_(10)≤6.5%时,配合煤料的CBI值和SI值的对应关系。利用spss对CBI值和SI值作回归分析,发现焦炭机械强度M_(40)≥86%、M_(10)≤6.5%时,配合煤的CBI指数在≥1和<1两个区间,CBI值和SI值分别呈二次相关;通过拟合获得CBI≥1和<1时,CBI指数和SI指数的相关数学模型。利用配合煤的煤岩指数和结焦性能的关系、配合煤的灰分和硫分与焦炭相应指标之间的相关关系,结合生产条件和市场煤价,以炼焦煤的总价格为目标函数,确定了满足要求的炼焦煤配比。该方法可以快速确立炼焦煤配比方案,为优化炼焦配煤方案提供指导。

植物激素信号转导通路是响应胁迫的重要通路,该通路中基因的表达调控作物的抗旱性。为挖掘燕麦植物激素信号转导通路中响应干旱胁迫的关键基因,本研究对燕麦幼苗进行不同干旱胁迫处理,取叶片进行转录组测序,分析不同处理下基因的表达。结果表明,与正常水分条件相比,轻度干旱胁迫(PEG 10%)诱导624个基因表达发生显著变化(DEGs),重度干旱胁迫(PEG 20%)诱导13063个。GO富集分析显示,重度干旱胁迫下,DEGs主要富集在对胁迫反应的调节;KEGG分析显示,轻度干旱胁迫下,植物激素信号转导通路中1个ARF和2个CRE1基因表达显著下调,表达量较高,可能为燕麦在该通路中响应轻度干旱胁迫的基因;而重度干旱胁迫下,植物激素信号转导通路富集169个DEGs,其中生长素和脱落酸信号转导过程DEGs较多,分别占植物激素信号转导通路总DEGs的20.7%和15.9%;在8条激素信号转导过程中筛选出12个表达量较高的基因,可能为燕麦在该通路中响应重度干旱胁迫的关键基因。本研究将为今后燕麦抗旱基因的克隆和验证提供依据。

为探究外源茉莉酸(Jasmonic acid,JA)对不同干旱胁迫下燕麦转录组的影响,本研究测定轻度(0.017 mol/L PEG-6000处理)和重度干旱胁迫(0.034 mol/L PEG-6000处理)处理及再添加JA处理的‘蒙燕1号’转录组,并对表达显著差异基因(DEGs)进行GO和KEGG功能富集分析。结果表明:GO功能富集分析显示,不同干旱胁迫处理下,外源JA诱导的DEGs均主要富集在膜、催化酶、转移酶和对刺激反应等代谢途径。KEGG功能富集分析显示,在未进行干旱胁迫条件下(CK),外源JA诱导1955个基因表达上调,4666个下调;DEGs主要富集的通路为代谢途径和次生代谢物的合成,其中苯丙素的生物合成通路基因表达发生显著变化。轻度干旱胁迫下,外源施用JA诱导1574个基因表达上调,933个基因下调;DEGs主要富集的通路为次生代谢的生物合成、植物激素信号转导、精氨酸和脯氨酸代谢通路,其中脱落酸和水杨酸信号转导、精氨酸和脯氨酸代谢通路中基因表达均上调;重度干旱胁迫下,外源JA诱导223个基因表达上调,456个下调;DEGs显著富集的只有鞘脂代谢通路。与未施用JA相比,不同干旱胁迫下,施用JA均可诱导细胞分裂素(CTK)代谢通路中CTK的N-糖基化基因(UGT73C5)上调和氧化酶/脱氢酶基因(CKX11)下调,以及脱落酸(ABA)信号转导相关基因(THI1.3)和未知功能基因(AT1G71250)表达发生显著变化。综上,轻度和重度干旱胁迫下,外源JA能诱导燕麦响应干旱胁迫的CTK和ABA相关基因表达发生显著变化。

Engineering pulp foam with highly improved water stability and multifunctional properties by incorporation of natural rubber and montmorillonite

Considering the aim of carbon neutrality and reducing plastic pollution,lightweight porous materials with good thermal insulation and mechanical robustness derived from renewable resources are in high demand.Cellulose-based pulp foams(PFs)offer considerable potential applications in many fields;however,the cost-effective manufacturing of PFs with satisfactory properties remains challenging.Herein,we demonstrate a simple and low-cost strategy to prepare a novel pulp/natural rubber(PNR)foam by combining wood pulp fiber and natural rubber latex through wet foaming and oven drying,eliminating traditional freeze-drying and solvent exchange processes.The obtained PNR foam exhibited high porosity(98.4%-99.1%),low density(14.1–24.0 mg/cm^(3)),and excellent water stability(without disintegration under magnetic stirring for 14 days).Moreover,montmorillonite(MMT)was easily incorporated into the PNR during the preparation process,improving the mechanical strength and heat insulation of the obtained PNRMMT foam.The optimized PNR-MMT foam could be compressed more than ten times without losing its resilience,exhibiting a compressive strength of 2.7 MPa at 80%strain,five times higher than that of pristine PF.Moreover,the PNR-MMT foam exhibited excellent flame retardant,good“spill”oil absorption,and good antibacterial properties towards Escherichia coli and Bacillus subtilis.Overall,this study provides a facile,sustainable,and low-cost route for manufacturing PNR-MMT foams with high resilience,good thermal insulation,excellent flame retardancy,and strong antibacterial properties,thus highlighting their usage potential in a broad range of applications.

双馈风电场经串补线路送出系统存在次同步振荡风险的问题已为共知并得到广泛深入研究,然而实际系统中也发生过双馈风电场经无串补线路送出的次超同步振荡问题,目前针对这一问题的报道和研究很少。因此,采用特征模式分析法结合电磁暂态仿真,针对双馈风电无串补接入电网的次同步振荡问题开展研究,分析了系统主导失稳振荡模式以及运行条件和风电控制参数的影响,厘清了无串补并网系统中双馈风电网侧变流器内环电流控制主导失稳,锁相控制主导失稳,以及转子侧变流器内环电流控制主导失稳等3种次超同步振荡场景,并与双馈经串补送出系统振荡场景进行了对比分析,较为全面地揭示了双馈风电并网系统振荡的不同场景及机理,可为实际工程双馈风电场并网振荡问题分析提供参考。
