Repair tolerance assessment for aircraft composite structures using Bayesian updating

Detection and repair of composite damage is crucial to ensure the safety and reliability of aircraft structures.A novel approach to quantitatively evaluate the repair tolerance of composite structures in civil aircraft based on Bayesian updating is *** method incorporates historical damage inspection data to determine the prior distribution of damage size,which is then updated with newly collected damage size data using Bayesian *** Carlo simulation is employed to investigate the probability of failure and estimate maintenance costs,considering various factors such as the frequency and timing of damage events,damage detection,structural strength,gust loads,and maintenance expenses throughout the lifecycle of composite *** and economic factors are considered to establish a lower threshold for repairs and an upper threshold for maintenance based on the occurrence of accidental impact *** of the effectiveness and feasibility of a quantitative assessment method for repair tolerance is conducted using damage statistics data from civil aircraft routes utilizing the structural skin panels of composite outer *** results demonstrate that the method proposed in conjunction with extensive simulations and full utilization of field damage inspection data can effectively simulate unexpected impact damage situations that may occur during civil aircraft service and evaluate the reliability and economic feasibility of the repair of *** research findings hold significant theoretical and practical value for the preparation of documents for continued airworthiness of composite structures,including structural repair manuals and maintenance programs.

Protein acetylation refers to a process of adding acetyl groups(CH3CO-)to lysine residues on protein *** one of the most commonly used protein post-translational modifications,lysine acetylation plays an important role in different *** our study,we developed a humanspecific method which uses a cascade classifier of complexvalued polynomial model(CVPM),combined with sequence and structural feature descriptors to solve the problem of imbalance between positive and negative *** gene expression programming and differential evolution are utilized to search the optimal CVPM *** also made a systematic and comprehensive analysis of the acetylation data and the prediction *** performances of our proposed method are 79.15%in Sp,78.17%in Sn,78.66%in ACC 78.76%in F1,and 0.5733 in MCC,which performs better than other state-of-the-art methods.

Study on the four Qi of Pfaffia glomerata based on the metabolomics technology and comparison of Dangshen(Radix Codonopsis) in the equivalent substitution prescription

OBJECTIVE: To explore the four Qi of Pfaffia glomerata(PG) and endow this foreign folk herb with the properties of Chinese medicine, make it Chinese medicinal and localized, and could be used as a Chinese medicine. METHODS: The normal group, six cold herb groups, six hot herb groups, six cool herb groups, PG prescription group(PGPG), and Dangshen(Radix Codonopsis) prescription group(CPPG) were prepared with corresponding concentrations of water extracts, these herb extracts were administered by gavage to SpragueDawley rats, and the 12 h urine at night on the 29th day of the SD rats in each group were collected, Liquid Chromatograph Mass Spectrometer system was used to analyze them, the best discriminant models for the medicinal properties of cold-hot and cold-cool were set up, so as to the medicinal properties of PGPG, CPPG and PG were predicted. Based on the Progenesis QI, Human Metabolome Database, Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes, MetaboAnalyst 5.0 database, we enriched metabolic pathway and classification mechanism of medicinal properties of cold-cool Chinese herbs and the molecular mechanism of PG prescription. RESULTS: We established a best model of cold-hot herbal discrimination in the positive ion mode, then the probability that PGPG was predicted cold property was 88.9%. Furthermore, a model of cold-cool herbal discrimination was established, then the probability of PGPG containing the cool property was 77.8%. In addition, typical cold and cool herbs mainly affected nine biomarkers such as tyrosine-proline,(R)-3',7-Dihydroxy-2',4'-dimethoxyisoflavane in rats. The regulation trend of PGPG on markers was basically as same as the cool herbs and mainly involved in regulating the two pathways of cytochrome P450 and purine metabolism. CONCLUSION: The results showed PGPG had a cool medicinal property as same as CPPG, and the regulation trend of PGPG on markers was consistent with cool herbs. A numerical model study on the spatial and temporal variabilities of dissolved oxygen in Qinzhou Bay of the northern Beibu Gulf

Oxygen facilitates the breakdown of the organic material to provide energy for *** concentration of dissolved oxygen(DO) in the water must exceed a certain threshold to support the normal metabolism of marine *** in the northern B eibu Gulf,Qinzhou B ay receives abundant freshwater and nutrients from several rivers which significantly influence the level of the dissolved ***,the spatial-temporal variations of DO as well as the associated driving mechanisms have been rarely studied through field *** this study,a three-dimension al coupled physical-biogeochemical model is used to investigate the spatial and seasonal variations of the DO and the associated driving mechanisms in Qinzhou B *** validation against observations indicates that the model can capture the seasonal and inter-annual variability of the DO concentration with the range of 5-10 mg/*** experiments show that the river discharges,winds and tides play crucial roles in the seasonal variability of the DO by changing the vertical mixing and stratification of the water column and the circulation *** winter,the tide and wind forces have strong effects on the DO distribution by enhancing the vertical mixing,especially near the bay *** summer,the river discharges play a dominant role in the DO distribution by inhibiting the vertical water exchange and delivering more nutrients to the Bay,which increases the DO depletion and results in lower DO on the bottom of the estuary salt *** findings can contribute to the preservation and management of the coastal environment in the northern Beibu Gulf.

Comprehensive Assessment of STGSA Generated Skeletal Mechanism for the Application in Flame-Wall Interaction and Flame-Flow Interaction

In this study,we conduct a thorough evaluation of the STGSA-generated skeletal mechanism for C2H4/*** STGSA-reduced mechanisms are taken into account,incorporating basic combustion models such as the homogeneous reactor model,one-dimensional flat premixed flame,and non-premixed counterflow ***,these models are applied to more complex combustion systems,considering factors like flame-flow interaction and flame-wall *** considerations take into account additional physical parameters and processes such as mixing frequency and *** results indicate that the skeletal mechanism adeptly captures the behavior of these complex combustion ***,it is suggested to incorporate strain rate considerations in generating the skeletal mechanism,especially when the combustion system operates under high turbulent intensity.

Metal-organic frameworks(MOFs)have been developed as an ideal platform for exploration of the relationship between intrinsic structure and catalytic activity,but the limited catalytic activity and stability has hampered their practical use in water ***,we develop a bond length adjustment strategy for optimizing naphthalene-based MOFs that synthesized by acid etching Co-naphthalenedicarboxylic acid-based MOFs(donated as AE-CoNDA)to serve as efficient catalyst for water ***-CoNDA exhibits a low overpotential of 260 mV to reach 10 mA cm^(−2)and a small Tafel slope of 62 mV dec^(−1)with excellent stability over 100 *** integrated AE-CoNDA onto BiVO_(4),photocurrent density of 4.3 mA cm^(−2)is achieved at 1.23 *** investigations demonstrate that the stretched Co-O bond length was found to optimize the orbitals hybridization of Co 3d and O 2p,which accounts for the fast kinetics and high *** calculations reveal that the stretched Co-O bond length strengthens the adsorption of oxygen-contained intermediates at the Co active sites for highly efficient water splitting.

Study on characteristics of gas-liquid spiral annular flow under action by different swirlers

The gas−liquid spiral annular flow in the tube can be formed by setting a cyclone with fixed blades. The structure of the cyclone greatly affects the stability of the spiral annular flow. To investigate this, four typical swirler structures were selected for experimental research under three typical inflow conditions. The stability of the formed spiral annular flow was analyzed by using image processing combined with the probability density function (PDF) fitting method. Additionally, the fluctuation characteristics of the liquid film and the internal action process of the swirler were analyzed. It was found that the liquid film generated by flat plate swirlers with central cylinder cyclone under different inflow conditions is more stable than that of the spiral blade A∕B cyclone, and the instability distance under the same working conditions is also longer. However, the stability of the spiral annular flow generated by spiral vane type A∕B swirlers is poorer, with instability occurring over a shorter distance. The increase in the equivalent liquid phase velocity under different conditions contributes to improving the stability of the liquid film and the instability distance of the spiral annular flow, thus forming a more stable spiral annular flow. The pressure gradient and the radial velocity within the fluid under the action of the vanes are highly correlated, where the pressure gradient and the radial velocity are the main factors in the formation of spiral annular flow, and their magnitudes determine to some extent the stability of the gas−liquid interface of the spiral annular flow. © 2024 Materials China. A Review of Intelligent Configuration and Its Security for Complex Networks

Complex networks are becoming more complex because of the use of many components with diverse technologies. In fact, manual configuration that makes each component interoperable has breed latent danger to system security. There is still no comprehensive review of these studies and prospects for further research. According to the complexity of component configuration and difficulty of security assurance in typical complex networks, this paper systematically reviews the abstract models and formal analysis methods required for intelligent configuration of complex networks, specifically analyzes, and compares the current key technologies such as configuration semantic awareness, automatic generation of security configuration, dynamic deployment, and verification evaluation. These technologies can effectively improve the security of complex networks intelligent configuration and reduce the complexity of operation and maintenance. This paper also summarizes the mainstream construction methods of complex networks configuration and its security test environment and detection index system, which lays a theoretical foundation for the formation of the comprehensive effectiveness verification capability of configuration security. The whole lifecycle management system of configuration security process proposed in this paper provides an important technical reference for reducing the complexity of network operation and maintenance and improving network security.

Highly efficient electrosynthesis of H2O2 in acidic electrolyte on metal-free heteroatoms co-doped carbon nanosheets and simultaneously promoting Fenton process

Recently electrochemical synthesis of H2O2through oxygen reduction reaction（ORR） via 2e-pathway is considered as a green and on-site ***,it still remains a big challenge for fabricating novel metal-free catalysts under acidic solutions,since it suffers from high overpotential due to the intrinsically week*OOH ***,a co-doped carbon nanosheet（O/N–C） catalyst toward regulating O and N content was synthesized for improving the selectivity and activity of H2O2electrosynthesis *** O/N–C exhibits outstanding 2e-ORR performance with low onset potential of 0.4 V（***） and a selectivity of 92.4%in 0.1 mol/L *** in situ electrochemical impedance spectroscopy（EIS）tests reveals that the N incorporation contributes to the fast ORR *** density functional theory（DFT） calculations demonstrate that the binding strength of*OOH was optimized by the co-doping of oxygen and nitrogen at certain content,and the O/N–C–COOH site exhibits a lower theoretical overpotential for H2O2formation than O–C–COOH ***,the promoted kinetics for typical organic dye degradation in simultaneous electron-Fenton process on O/N–C catalyst was demonstrated particularly for broadening its environmental application.

The results demonstrate that the method proposed in conjunction with extensive simulations and full utilization of field damage inspection data can effectively simulate unexpected impact damage situations that may occur during civil aircraft service and evaluate the reliability and economic feasibility of the repair of structure. The research findings hold significant theoretical and practical value for the preparation of documents for continued airworthiness of composite structures, including structural repair manuals and maintenance programs.
