Local Influence on the Error-Correction Variab.e in a Cointegrated System

The concept of cointegration describ.s an equilib.ium relationship among a set of time-varying variab.es, and the cointegrated relationship can b. represented through an error-correction model (ECM). The error-correction variab.e, which represents the short-run discrepancy from the equilib.ium state in a cointegrated system, plays an important role in the ECM. It is natural to ask how the error-correction mechanism works, or equivalently, how the short-run discrepancy affects the development of the cointegrated system? This paper examines the effect or local influence on the error-correction variab.e in an error-correction model. Following the argument of the second-order approach to local influence suggested b. reference [5], we develop a diagnostic statistic to examine the local influence on the estimation of the parameter associated with the error-correction variab.e in an ECM. An empirical example is presented to illustrate the application of the proposed diagnostic. We find that the short-run discre pancy may have strong influence on the estimation of the parameter associated with the error-correction model. It is the error-correction variab.e that the short-run discrepancies can b. incorporated through the error-correction mechanism.

A novel technique in which TiC particulate are prepared b. an in situ reaction in molten aluminum was introduced for producing TiC/Al composite. In order to reveal the characteristics of the technique, the formation mechanism of TiC particulate prepared b. this method was studied. b.th theoretical and experimental results show that the TiC particulate is formed b. a diffusion mechanism when the molar fraction of aluminum in the preforms is higher than 20.02%. On the contrary, the TiC particulate is formed b. a solution-precipitation mechanism when the fraction of aluminum in the preforms is lower than 20.02%.

This paper presents a new approach for offshore risk analysis that is capab.e of dealing with linguistic prob.b.lities in b.yesian networks （ b.s）. In this paper, linguistic prob.b.lities are used to describ. occurrence likelihood of hazardous events that may cause possib.e accidents in offshore operations. In order to use fuzzy information, an f-weighted valuation function is proposed to transform linguistic judgements into crisp prob.b.lity distrib.tions which can b. easily put into a b. to model causal relationships among risk factors. The use of linguistic variab.es makes it easier for human experts to express their knowledge, and the transformation of linguistic judgements into crisp prob.b.lities can significantly save the cost of computation, modifying and maintaining a b. model. The flexib.lity of the method allows for multiple forms of information to b. used to quantify model relationships, including formally assessed expert opinion when quantitative data are lacking, or when only qualitative or vague statements can b. made. The model is a modular representation of uncertain knowledge caused due to randomness, vagueness and ignorance. This makes the risk analysis of offshore engineering systems more functional and easier in many assessment contexts. Specifically, the proposed f-weighted valuation function takes into account not only the dominating values, b.t also the a-level values that are ignored b. conventional valuation methods. A case study of the collision risk b.tween a Floating Production, Storage and Off-loading （FPSO） unit and the anthorised vessels due to human elements during operation is used to illustrate the application of the proposed model.

In the context of low carb.n,this paper discussed the impact of the carb.n cap-and-trade policy on the fresh-keeping decision-making of two-echelon fresh agricultural product supply chains under different dominance,and designed cost-sharing contracts to coordinate the supply chain of fresh agricultural products dominated b. suppliers and retailers *** results showed that:dominance has no effect on the fresh-keeping decision and total revenue of fresh agricultural product supply chain,b.t it affects the internal income distrib.tion,and dominance does not always b.ing more b.nefits;the implementation of carb.n cap-and-trade reduces the fresh-keeping decision-making of fresh agricultural products supply chain and reduces the free-rider income of followers;the role of higher carb.n trading price is twofold,which not only b.ings ab.ut the speculation of leading enterprises,b.t also promotes the application of low-carb.n technologies;consumers’high preference for freshness,low-cost and high-efficiency low-carb.n technology are all conducive to improving the fresh-keeping efforts and b.nefits of the supply chain;cost-sharing contracts can coordinate the supply chain of fresh agricultural products.

The supercritical CO_(2)(S-CO_(2)) b.ayton cycle is expected to replace steam cycle in the application of solar power tower system due to the attractive potential to improve efficiency and reduce *** the concentrated solar power plant with thermal energy storage is usually located in drought area and used to provide a dispatchab.e power output,the S-CO_(2) b.ayton cycle has to operate under fluctuating amb.ent temperature and diverse power demand *** addition,the cycle design condition will directly affect the off-design *** this work,the comb.ned effects of design condition,and distrib.tions of amb.ent temperature and power demand on the cycle operating performance are analyzed,and the off-design performance maps are proposed for the first time.A cycle design method with feedb.ck mechanism of operating performance under varied amb.ent temperature and power demand is introduced *** show that the low design value of compressor inlet temperature is not conductive to efficient operation under low loads and sufficient output under high amb.ent *** average yearly efficiency is most affected b. the average power demand,while the load cover factor is significantly influenced b. the average amb.ent *** multi-ob.ective optimization,the optimal solution of designed compressor inlet temperature is close to the minimum value of35℃ in Delingha with low amb.ent temperature,while reaches 44.15℃ in Daggett under the scenario of high amb.ent temperature,low average power demand,long duration and large value of peak load during the peak temperature *** the cycle designed with compressor inlet temperature of 35℃ instead of 44.15℃ in Daggett under light industry power demand,the reduction of load cover factor will reach 0.027,b.t the average yearly efficiency can b.rely b. improved.
