Bioinspired Passive Tactile Sensors Enabled by Reversible Polarization of Conjugated Polymers

Tactile perception plays a vital role for the human body and is also highly desired for smart prosthesis and advanced *** to active sensing devices,passive piezoelectric and triboelectric tactile sensors consume less power,but lack the capability to resolve static ***,we address this issue by utilizing the unique polarization chemistry of conjugated polymers for the first time and propose a new type of bioinspired,passive,and bio-friendly tactile sensors for resolving both static and dynamic ***,to emulate the polarization process of natural sensory cells,conjugated polymers(including poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophen e):poly(styrenesulfonate),polyaniline,or polypyrrole)are controllably polarized into two opposite states to create artificial potential *** controllable and reversible polarization process of the conjugated polymers is fully in situ ***,a micro-structured ionic electrolyte is employed to imitate the natural ion channels and to encode external touch stimulations into the variation in potential difference *** with the currently existing tactile sensing devices,the developed tactile sensors feature distinct characteristics including fully organic composition,high sensitivity(up to 773 mV N^(−1)),ultralow power consumption(nW),as well as superior *** demonstrations,both single point tactile perception(surface texture perception and material property perception)and two-dimensional tactile recognitions(shape or profile perception)with high accuracy are successfully realized using self-defined machine learning *** tactile sensing concept innovation based on the polarization chemistry of conjugated polymers opens up a new path to create robotic tactile sensors and prosthetic electronic skins.

Structural and microwave absorption properties of CoFe_(2)O_(4)/residual carbon composites

Electromagnetic interference,which necessitates the rapid advancement of substances with exceptional capabilities for bsorbing electromagnetic waves,is of urgent concern in contemporary *** this work,CoFe_(2)O_(4)/residual carbon from coal gasification fine slag(CFO/RC)composites were created using a novel hydrothermal *** mechanisms for microwave absorption,including conductive loss,natural resonance,interfacial dipole polarization,and magnetic flux loss,are involved in these ***,compared with pure residual carbon materials,this composite offers superior capabilities in microwave *** 7.76GHz,the CFO/RC-2 composite achieves an impressive minimum reflection loss(RL_(min))of-43.99 dB with a thickness of 2.44 ***,CFO/RC-3 demonstrates an effective absorption bandwidth(EAB)of up to 4.16 GHz,accompanied by a thickness of *** study revealed the remarkable capability of the composite to diminish electromagnetic waves,providing a new generation method for microwave absorbing materials of superior quality.

The detection, extraction and parameter estimation of extreme-mass-ratio inspirals with deep learning

One of the primary goals of space-borne gravitational wave detectors is to detect and analyze extreme-mass-ratio inspirals(EMRIs). This task is particularly challenging because EMRI signals are complex, lengthy, and faint. In this work, we introduce a2-layer convolutional neural network(CNN) approach to detect EMRI signals for space-borne detectors, achieving a true positive rate(TPR) of 96.9% at a 1% false positive rate(FPR) for signal-to-noise ratio(SNR) from 50 to 100. Especially, the key intrinsic parameters of EMRIs such as the mass, spin of the supermassive black hole(SMBH) and the initial eccentricity of the orbit can also be inferred directly by employing a neural network. The mass and spin of the SMBH can be determined at 99% and 92% respectively. This will greatly reduce the parameter spaces and computing cost for the following Bayesian parameter *** model also has a low dependency on the accuracy of the waveform model. This study underscores the potential of deep learning methods in EMRI data analysis, enabling the rapid detection of EMRI signals and efficient parameter estimation.

Hydrogel scaffolds have numerous potential applications in the tissue engineering ***,tough hydrogel scaffolds implanted in vivo are seldom reported because it is difficult to balance biocompatibility and high mechanical *** by Chinese ramen,we propose a universal fabricating method(printing-P,training-T,cross-linking-C,PTC&PCT)for tough hydrogel scaffolds to fill this ***,3D printing fabricates a hydrogel scaffold with desired structures(P).Then,the scaffold could have extraordinarily high mechanical properties and functional surface structure by cycle mechanical training with salting-out assistance(T).Finally,the training results are fixed by photo-cross-linking processing(C).The tough gelatin hydrogel scaffolds exhibit excellent tensile strength of 6.66 MPa(622-fold untreated)and have excellent ***,this scaffold possesses functional surface structures from nanometer to micron to millimeter,which can efficiently induce directional cell ***,this strategy can produce bionic human tissue with mechanical properties of 10 kPa-10 MPa by changing the type of salt,and many hydrogels,such as gelatin and silk,could be improved with PTC or PCT *** experiments show that this scaffold can effectively promote the new generation of muscle fibers,blood vessels,and nerves within 4 weeks,prompting the rapid regeneration of large-volume muscle loss injuries.

Far-ranging and improper uses of pharmaceuticals and personal care products(PPCPs)over the last few decades have led to severe water contamination that imposes serious effects on human beings and the ecological ***,there is an increasing demand for a highly-efficient and environmentally friendly technology for the removal of PPCPs from aqueous *** technology is an appropriate technology to solve this ***-based composites,ranging from modified activated carbon to functionalized biochar,show great potential for this *** review hence elaborates on the environmental occurrences and risks of PPCPs and summarizes the recent progress in removing PPCPs from water using carbon-based *** pore structure,relatively large specific surface area(SSA),abundant surface functional groups,highly aromatic structures and the extra excellent characteristics of the cooperative materials contribute to their outstanding adsorption ***,the biochar-clay material is cost effective and more efficient compared to traditional activated carbon regarding the adsorption of *** the emerging adsorbents,graphene and carbon nanotubes composites show superior adsorption *** adsorption mechanisms,such as electrostatic interactions,hydrogen bonding,and pore filling,are discussed in details.

Optimal Allocation of Comprehensive Resources for Large-Scale Access of Electric Kiln to the Distribution Network

With the significant progress of the“coal to electricity”project,the electric kiln equipment began to be connected to the distribution network on a large scale,which caused power quality problems such as low voltage,high harmonic distortion rate,and high reactive power *** paper proposes a two-stage power grid comprehensive resource optimization configuration model.A multi-objective optimization solution based on the joint simulation platform of Matlab and OpenDSS is *** solution aims to control harmonics and optimize reactive *** the first stage,a multi-objective optimization model is established to minimize the active network loss,voltage deviation,and equipment cost under the constraint conditions of voltage margin,power factor,and reactive power compensation ***,the first stage uses a particle swarm optimization(PSO)algorithm to optimize the location and capacity of both series and parallel compensation devices in the distribution *** the second stage,the optimal configuration model of the active power filter assumes the cost of the APF as the objective function and takes the harmonic voltage content rate,the total voltage distortion rate,and the allowable harmonic current as the constraint *** proposed solution eliminates the harmonics by uniformly configuring active filters in the distribution network and centrally control harmonics at the system ***,taking the IEEE33 distribution network as the object and considering the change of electric furnace permeability in the range of 20%–50%,the simulation results show that the proposed algorithm effectively reduces the distribution network’s loss,its harmonic content and significantly improve its voltage.

Various nanoparticle-based drug delivery systems for the treatment of neurological disorders have been widely ***,their inability to cross the blood–brain barrier hampers the clinical translation of these therapeutic *** are nanoparticles composed of lipid bilayers,which can effectively encapsulate drugs and improve drug delivery across the blood–brain barrier and into brain tissue through their targeting and ***,they can potentially treat traumatic and nontraumatic central nervous system *** this review,we outlined the common properties and preparation methods of liposomes,including thin-film hydration,reverse-phase evaporation,solvent injection techniques,detergent removal methods,and microfluidics ***,we comprehensively discussed the current applications of liposomes in central nervous system diseases,such as Alzheimer's disease,Parkinson's disease,Huntington's disease,amyotrophic lateral sclerosis,traumatic brain injury,spinal cord injury,and brain *** studies related to liposomes are still in the laboratory stage and have not yet entered clinical ***,their application as drug delivery systems in clinical practice faces challenges such as drug stability,targeting efficiency,and ***,we proposed development strategies related to liposomes to further promote their development in neurological disease research.

With the implementation of electric energy alternatives,the large-scale application of electric energy substitution represented by air-source heat pumps has replaced traditional coal-fired heating,which is beneficial for the environment and alleviates air ***,the large-scale application of airsource heat pumps has brought power quality problems such as voltage sags,harmonic pollution,and three-phase imbalance to the distribution *** paper studies the fixed-frequency and variablefrequency air-source heat pump,introduces its working principle,analyzes the mechanism of its power quality ***,the paper establishes a simulation model for the fixed-frequency heat pump and variable-frequency heat pump to connect to the distribution *** research mainly studies the impact of large-scale fixed-frequency heat pumps on the depth of voltage sags in the distribution network and the impact of large-scale variable-frequency heat pumps on the harmonic content of the distribution network under different penetration rates and uses measured data to verify the reliability of the simulation *** paper uses experimental data for the first time to verify the real power quality problems of large-scale heat pumps,which can provide a reference for determining the power quality standards for heat pumps connected to the power *** the same time,it can also provide a reference for the power quality management of the distribution network that is actually connected to electric heating.

Efficient photocatalytic NADH regeneration with Rh-loaded Z-scheme mediator-free system

Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide(NADH)regeneration is necessary for the sustainable application of enzymatic *** Rh-based complex[Cp^(*)Rh(bpy)(H)]+has been widely used as an important mediator in NADH regeneration systems,but it is limited by complexity and high ***,a Z-scheme was constructed by loading Rh onto carbon nitride nanosheets/carbon nitride quantum dots(CN-CNQD).The resultant catalyst achieved a high yield of NADH in a mediator-free(M-free)system of 0.283 mmol L^(−1) g^(−1) min^(−1),which is 5.29 times that of pure *** enzyme introduction experiments confirmed that the enzyme active product 1,4-NADH could reach 34.21%selectivity in the M-free *** research revealed that the heterojunction between CNs and CNQDs improved the NADH regeneration activity in the traditional M-involved system,while Rh loading was proved to optimize the yield and selectivity of 1,4-NADH in M-free *** immobilized Rh shows more competitiveness than[Cp^(*)Rh(bpy)(H)]^(+).This study contributes to the construction of an M-free system for further application in greener,lower-cost enzymatic processes.
