Chinese herbal formula Tongluo Jiunao injection protects against cerebral ischemia by activating neurotrophin 3/tropomyosin-related kinase C pathway

The Chinese herbal formula Tongluo fiunao, containing the active components panax notogin- seng and Gardenia jasminoides, has recently been patented and is in use clinically. It is known to be neuroprotective in cerebral ischemia, but the underlying pathway remains poorly understood. In the present study, we established a rat model of cerebral ischemia by occlusion of the middle cerebral artery, and administered Tongluo Jiunao, a positive control （Xuesai Tong, containing panax notoginseng） or saline intraperitoneally to investigate the pathway involved in the action of TongIuo fiunao injection. 2,3,5-Triphenyltetrazolium chloride （TTC） staining showed that the cerebral infarct area was significantly smaller in model rats that received Tongluo fiunao than in those that received saline. Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay revealed significantly greater expression of neurotrophin 3 and growth-associated protein 43 in ischemic cerebral tissue, and serum levels of neurotrophin 3, in the Tongluo Jiunao group than in the saline group. The reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction and immunohistochemical staining showed that after treatment with Tongluo fiunao or Xuesai Tong, tropomyosin-related kinase C gene expression and immunoreactivity were significantly elevated compared with saline, with the greatest expression observed after Tongluo Jiunao treatment. These findings suggest that Tongluo Jiunao injection exerts a neuroprotective effect in rats with cerebral ischemia by activating the neurotrophin 3/ tropomyosin-related kinase C pathway.

Cu-substituted nickel hexacyanoferrate with tunable reaction potentials for superior ammonium ion storage

In this work,a variety of Cu_(x)Ni_(2-x)Fe(CN)_(6)(x=0,0.4,0.8,1.2,1.6,2)cathodes for ammonium ion batteries are prepared and their electrochemical performances are *** the introduction of copper in nickel hexacyanoferrate,the electrochemical performance varies without changing the structure of nickel *** increase of Cu content in nickel hexacyanoferrate leads to the enhancement of reaction potential and *** results suggest that the substitution of Cu for Ni has a positive effect on improving the cycling stability and rate capacity of nickel hexacyanoferrate when x in Cu_(x)Ni_(2-x)Fe(CN)_(6)is less than ***,Cu_(0.4)Ni_(1.6)Fe(CN)_(6)exhibits the best cycling per-formance(capacity retention of 97.54%at 0.3 C)and the highest rate capacity(41.4 mAh g^(-1)at 10 C)in Cu_(x)Ni_(2-x)Fe(CN)_(6).Additionally,the X-ray diffraction(XRD)and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)tests also reveal that the structural evolution of Cu_(0.4)Ni_(1.6)Fe(CN)_(6)is highly reversible upon NH_(4)^(+)***,this work proposes a candidate material for ammoniumion batteries and offers a novel avenue for adjusting the operating potential of the material.

The appropriate and specific response of nerve cells to various external cues is essential for the establishment and maintenance of neural circuits,and this process requires the proper recruitment of adaptor molecules to selectively activate downstream ***,we identified that DOK6,a member of the Dok(downstream of tyrosine kinases)family,is required for the maintenance of peripheral axons,and that loss of Dok6 can cause typical peripheral neuropathy symptoms in mice,manifested as impaired sensory,abnormal posture,paw deformities,blocked nerve conduction,and ***,Dok6 is highly expressed in peripheral neurons but not in Schwann cells,and genetic deletion of Dok6 in peripheral neurons led to typical peripheral myelin outfolding,axon destruction,and hindered retrograde axonal ***,DOK6 acts as an adaptor protein for selectivitymediated neurotrophic signal transduction and retrograde transport for TrkC and Ret but not for TrkA and ***6 interacts with certain proteins in the trafficking machinery and controls their phosphorylation,including MAP1B,Tau and Dynein for axonal transport,and specifically activates the downstream ERK1/2 kinase pathway to maintain axonal survival and *** finding provides new clues to potential insights into the pathogenesis and treatment of hereditary peripheral neuropathies and other degenerative diseases.

Strong anisotropy of thermal transport in the monolayer of a new puckered phase of PdSe

We examine the electronic and transport properties of a new phase PdSe monolayer with a puckered structure calculated by first-principles and Boltzmann transport *** spin−orbit coupling is found to play a negligible effect on the electronic properties of PdSe *** lattice thermal conductivity of PdSe monolayer exhibits remarkable anisotropic characteristic due to anisotropic phonon group velocity along different directions and its intrinsic structure *** compromised electronic mobility despite a relatively low thermal conduction results in a moderate ZT value but significantly anisotropic thermoelectric performance in single-layer *** present work suggests that the remarkable thermal transport anisotropy of PdSe monolayer can be used for thermal management,and enhance the scope of possibilities for heat flow manipulation in PdSe based *** sizeable puckered cages and wiggling lattice implies it an ideal platform for ionic and molecular engineering for thermoelectronic applications.

Multi-Objective Equilibrium Optimizer for Feature Selection in High-Dimensional English Speech Emotion Recognition

Speech emotion recognition(SER)uses acoustic analysis to find features for emotion recognition and examines variations in voice that are caused by *** number of features acquired with acoustic analysis is extremely high,so we introduce a hybrid filter-wrapper feature selection algorithm based on an improved equilibrium optimizer for constructing an emotion recognition *** proposed algorithm implements multi-objective emotion recognition with the minimum number of selected features and maximum ***,we use the information gain and Fisher Score to sort the features extracted from ***,we employ a multi-objective ranking method to evaluate these features and assign different importance to *** with high rankings have a large probability of being ***,we propose a repair strategy to address the problem of duplicate solutions in multi-objective feature selection,which can improve the diversity of solutions and avoid falling into local *** random forest and K-nearest neighbor classifiers,four English speech emotion datasets are employed to test the proposed algorithm(MBEO)as well as other multi-objective emotion identification *** results illustrate that it performs well in inverted generational distance,hypervolume,Pareto solutions,and execution time,and MBEO is appropriate for high-dimensional English SER.

Efficacy of scraping therapy on blood pressure and sleep quality in stage Ⅰ and Ⅱ essential hypertension: A systematic review and meta-analysis

Frontogenesis and Frontolysis of a Cold Filament Driven by the Cross-Filament Wind and Wave Fields Simulated by a Large Eddy Simulation

The variations of the frontogenetic trend of a cold filament induced by the cross-filament wind and wave fields are studied by a non-hydrostatic large eddy simulation. Five cases with different strengths of wind and wave fields are *** results show that the intense wind and wave fields further break the symmetries of submesoscale flow fields and suppress the levels of filament frontogenesis. The changes of secondary circulation directions—that is, the conversion between the convergence and divergence of the surface cross-filament currents with the downwelling and upwelling jets in the filament center—are associated with the inertial oscillation. The filament frontogenesis and frontolysis caused by the changes of secondary circulation directions may periodically sharpen and smooth the gradient of submesoscale flow *** lifecycle of the cold filament may include multiple stages of filament frontogenesis and frontolysis.

Specialized households serve as the primary units within specialized villages in China,and their capacity to withstand risks and external influences significantly shapes the future trajectory of specialized villages and the overall vitality of the rural *** this study,we established a measurement indicator system based on the definition of specialized households’resilience,elucidating the logical connection between specialized households’resilience and rural industrial development in *** musical instrument industry in Lankao County,Henan Province of China,was employed as a case;survey data,the entropy method,and an obstacle diagnosis model were used to examine how instrument production specialized households responded to the challenges posed by Corona Virus Disease 2019(COVID-19)and the tightening of national environmental protection policies,yielding the following key findings:1)there exists substantial variation in the comprehensive resilience levels among different specialized households;2)the ability to learn and adapt is the most significant contributor to the overall resilience level of specialized households;3)technological proficiency and access to skilled talent emerge as pivotal factors influencing specialized households’resilience;4)the positioning of specialized households within the industrial supply chain and the stability of their income have a direct bearing on their resilience *** influence of specialized households’resilience on industrial development primarily manifests in the following ways:stronger resilience correlates with increased stability in production and sales,fostering a more proactive approach to future ***,heightened exposure to the external macroeconomic environment can lead to a higher rate of export *** enhance the development resilience of entities like specialized households and family farms,and to invigorate rural economic development,escalating investments in rural science and technology
