A leaky-wave antenna with horizontal scanning beams and broadside radiation is presented on the periodically modulated microstrip. The horizontal radiation is realized by periodically etching a set of resonant open-ended slots on the ground plane. Dispersion diagrams and Bloch impedance are first analyzed to investigate the propagation and radiation characteristics of the periodic structure. Subsequently, shunt matching stubs are installed aiming to obtain seamless beam scanning property through the broadside. Finally, a prototype is implemented as verification of the presented antenna. Results of the simulations and measurements agree well with each other, indicating the elimination of the open-stop band effect and the horizontal radiation beams. The fabricated antenna exhibits a beam range from -62° to +34°, and provides a maximum measured gain about 14.6 dBi at 10 GHz.

Passive daytime radiative cooling(PDRC) is environment-friendly without energy input by enhancing the coating's solar reflectance(R_(solar)) and thermal emittance(ε_(LWIR)) in the atmosphere's long-wave infrared transmission ***,high R_(solar) is usually achieved by increasing the coating's thickness,which not only increases materials' cost but also impairs heat ***,the desired high R_(solar) is vulnerable to dust pollution in the *** this work,a thin paint was designed by mixing hBN plates,PFOTS,and IPA. R_(solar)=0.963 and ε_(LWIR)=0.927 was achieved at a thickness of 150 μm due to the high backscattering ability of scatters.A high through-plane thermal conductivity(~1.82 W m^(-1) K^(-1)) also can be *** addition,the porous structure coupled with the binder PFOTS resulted in a contact angle of 154°,demonstrating excellent durability under dust *** experiments showed that the thin paint can obtain a 2.3℃ lower temperature for sub-ambient cooling than the reference PDRC coating in the ***,the above-ambient heat dissipation performance can be enhanced by spraying the thin paint on a 3D heat sink,which was 15.7℃ lower than the reference 1D structure,demonstrating excellent performance for durable and scalable PDRC applications.

AIM:To explore the effects of hepatocyte growth factor(HGF)on retinal pigment epithelium(RPE)cell ***:The human adult retinal pigment epithelial cell line-19(ARPE-19)were treated by HGF or mesenchymalepithelial transition factor(MET)inhibitor SU11274 in *** viability was detected by a Cell Counting Kit-8 *** proliferation and motility was detected by a bromodeoxyuridine incorporation assay and a wound healing assay,*** expression levels of MET,phosphorylated MET,protein kinase B(AKT),and phosphorylated AKT proteins were determined by Western blot *** MET and phosphorylated MET proteins were also determined by immunofluorescence ***:HGF increased ARPE-19 cells’viability,proliferation and migration,and induced an increase of phosphorylated MET and phosphorylated AKT ***11274 significantly reduced cell viability,proliferation,and migration and decreased the expression of MET and AKT ***11274 suppressed HGF-induced increase of viability,proliferation,and migration in ARPE-19 ***,SU11274 also blocked HGF-induced phosphorylation of MET and AKT ***:HGF enhances cellular viability,proliferation,and migration in RPE cells through the MET/AKT signaling pathway,whereas this enhancement is suppressed by the MET inhibitor ***-induced MET/AKT signaling might be a vital contributor of RPE cells survival.

In 2022,the Pakistan witnessed the hottest spring and wettest summer in *** devastating floods inundated a large portion of Pakistan and caused enormous ***,the primary water source and its contributions to these unprecedented floods remain *** on the reservoir inflow measurements,Multi-Source Weighted-Ensemble Precipitation(MSWEP),the fifth generation ECMWF atmospheric reanalysis(ERA5)products,this study quantified the contributions of monsoon precipitation,antecedent snow-melts,and orographic precipitation enhancement to floods in *** found that the Indus experienced at least four inflow up-rushes,which was mainly supplied by precipitation and snowmelt;In upper Indus,abnormally high temperature continued to influence the whole summer and lead to large amounts of snowmelts which not only was a key water supply to the flood but also provided favorable soil moisture conditions for the latter *** July,the snowmelt has higher contributions than the precipitation to the streamflow of Indus River,with contribution value of more than 60%.Moreover,the snowmelt could still supply 20%-40%water to the lower Indus in July and August;The leading driver of 2022 mega-floods over the southern Pakistan in July and August was dominated by the precipitation,where terrain disturbance induced precipitation account to approximately 33%over the southern *** results help to understand the mechanisms of flood formation,and to better predict future flood risks over complex terrain regions.

Aerodynamic Design Method and Experimental Investigation of a High-Load Supersonic Compressor Cascade

The high-load compressor plays an important role in further improving the performance of ***,the complex shock waves in the cascade channel also bring more aerodynamic *** paper proposes a supersonic compressor cascade modeling method based on the theory of unique inlet flow angle,and the aerodynamic design and optimization of a cascade with inlet Mach number 1.85 are studied by combining the numerical optimization method and planar cascade *** results show that pressure increase can be achieved by multiple shock waves which are obtained by the reflection of the leading edge detached shock wave in the initial supersonic cascade channel at the design point,which verifies the feasibility of the design *** optimization,the aerodynamic performance of the cascade has been improved to different degrees at the design point and off-design *** the static pressure ratio is 3.285,the total pressure recovery coefficient reaches 86.82% at the design point,which is on the advanced level of the same type of *** experimental results of planar cascade schlieren and surface pressure measurement also verify the correctness of the simulation method,which provides useful references for the subsequent compressor design.

Traditional research believes that the filling body can effectively control stress concentration while ignoring the problems of unknown stability and the complex and changeable stress distribution of the filling body–surrounding rock combination under high-stress *** monitoring data processing methods cannot fully consider the complexity of monitoring objects,the diversity of monitoring methods,and the dynamics of monitoring *** solve this problem,this paper proposes a phase space reconstruction and stability prediction method to process heterogeneous information of backfill–surrounding rock *** three-dimensional monitoring system of a large-area filling body–surrounding rock combination in Longshou Mine was constructed by using drilling stress,multipoint displacement meter,and *** information,such as the stress and displacement of the filling body–surrounding rock combination,was continuously *** with the average mutual information method and the false nearest neighbor point method,the phase space of the heterogeneous information of the filling body–surrounding rock combination was then *** this paper,the distance between the phase point and its nearest point was used as the index evaluation distance to evaluate the stability of the filling body–surrounding rock *** evaluated distances(ED)revealed a high sensitivity to the stability of the filling body–surrounding rock *** new method was then applied to calculate the time series of historically ED for 12 measuring points located at Longshou *** moments of mutation in these time series were at least 3 months ahead of the roadway return *** the ED prediction experiments,the autoregressive integrated moving average model showed a higher prediction accuracy than the deep learning models(long short-term memory and Transformer).Furthermore,the root-mean-square error distribution of the prediction results peaked at 0
