We propose a frequency-tunable router of single photons with high routing efficiency, which is constructed by two waveguides mediately linked by a single-mode whispering gallery resonator with a driven three-level emitter. Quantum routing probability in the output port is obtained via the real-space Hamiltonian. By adjusting the resonator–emitter coupling and the drive, the desired continuous central frequencies for the resonance peaks of routing photons can be manipulated nearly linearly, with the assistance of Rabi splitting effect and optical Stark shift. The proposed routing system may provide potential applications in designing other frequency-modulation quantum optical devices, such as multiplexers,filters, and so on.

We theoretically investigate coherent scattering of single photons and quantum entanglement of two giant atoms with azimuthal angle differences in a waveguide *** the real-space Hamiltonian,analytical expressions are derived for the transport spectra scattered by these two giant atoms with four azimuthal ***-like resonance can be exhibited in the scattering spectra by adjusting the azimuthal angle *** concurrence of the entangled state for two atoms can be implemented in a wide angle-difference range,and the entanglement of the atomic states can be switched on/off by modulating the additional azimuthal angle differences from the giant *** suggests a novel handle to effectively control the single-photon scattering and quantum entanglement.

The elastic, dynamical, and electronic properties of cubic liHg and li3Hg were investigated based on first-principles methods. The elastic constants and phonon spectral calculations confirmed the mechanical and dynamical stability of the materials at ambient conditions. The obtained elastic moduli of liHg are slightly larger than those of li3Hg. Both liHg and li3Hg are ductile materials with strong shear anisotropy as metals with mixed ionic, covalent, and metallic interactions. The calculated Debye temperatures are 223.5 K and 230.6 K for liHg and li3Hg, respectively. The calculated phonon frequency of the T2g mode in li3Hg is 326.8 cm-1. The p states from the Hg and li atoms dominate the electronic structure near the Fermi level. These findings may inspire further experimental and theoretical study on the potential technical and engineering applications of similar alkali metal-based intermetallic compounds.

A new method of recovering maritime oil-spill based on electromagnetic force, the so-called MHD oil-spill recovery method was proposed in the IEECAS. The operating process of MHD channel was described in this article. Numerical study was carried out using a two-dimensional water-air two-phase model and the VOF method. The agreement between the numerical and the experimental results was reached.

Ocular ischemic syndrome is a chronic ischemic eye disease including a series of ischemic ocular and brain syndromes caused by carotid artery occlusion or stenosis. Because of the different degrees of ischemia, clinical manifestations of ocular ischemic syndrome are diverse, and it is difficult to diagnose in the initial stage. The main strategy to treat ocular ischemic syndrome is elimination of carotid stenosis. We presented a patient who recovered dramatically after carotid artery stenting. The pre-stenting arm-retinal circulation time of the patient＇s left eye was prolonged, and a large amount of microaneurysm appeared at the posterior polar and mid-peripheral aspects of the left retina. The post-stenting arm-retinal circulation time of the left eve decreased to 16.3 seconds, and the microaneurvsm almost disappeared.

In this paper,the effects of Lorentz force on drag reduction for a circular cylinder have been studied experimentally and *** on its effects on drag reduction,the Lorentz force is found to be classified into two parts：one acts directly on the cylinder,named as the wall Lorentz force,and the other called the field Lorentz force acts on the fluid inside the boundary *** wall Lorentz force leads to the generation of a thrust,whereas the field Lorentz force results in drag *** the former dominates the drag variation,the drag would reduce accordingly and even turn into negative （thrust） with the application of Lorentz force.

Nucleation behavior of amorphous Si–B–C–N ceramics derived from boron-modified polyvinylsilazane procusors was systematically investigated by transmission electron microscopy(TEM) combined with spatially-resolved electron energy-loss spectroscopy(EELS) analysis. The ceramics were pyrolyzed at1000℃ followed by further annealing in N2, and SiC nano-crystallites start to emerge at 1200℃ and dominate at 1500℃. Observed by high-angle annular dark-field imaging, bright and dark clusters were revealed as universal nano-structured features in ceramic matrices before and after nucleation, and the growth of cluster size saturated before reaching 5 nm at 1400℃. EELS analysis demonstrated the gradual development of bonding structures successively into SiC, graphetic BNCxand Si3N4 phases, as well as a constant presence of unexpected oxygen in the matrices. Furthermore, EELS profiling revealed the bright SiC clusters and less bright Si3N4-like clusters at 1200–1400℃. Since the amorphous matrix has already phase separated into SiCN and carbon clusters, another phase separation of SiCN into SiC and Si3N4-like clusters might occur by annealing to accompany their nucleation and growth, albeit one crystallized and another remained in amorphous structure. Hinderance of the cluster growth and further crystallization was owing to the formation of BNCxlayers that developed between SiC and Si3N4-like clusters as well as from the excessive oxygen to form the stable SiO2.

The structural, dynamical, and electronic properties of compressed Sr C2 were systematically investigated up to 200 GPa by using ab initio method. Three new phases are obtained by means of evolutionary algorithm. The confirmed most stable structure has C2/c symmetry at zero pressure, which transforms into an orthorhombic Cmcm phase at 4.5 GPa, followed by another orthorhombic Immm phase, which is stabilized at wide pressure range of 21.5–123.5 GPa, and then transformed into Mg B2-type phase(space group, P6/mmm). Although Sr C2 has similar structural transformation to that of compressed Ca C2, Sr C2 holds small electron–phonon coupling,which leads to its low superconducting critical temperature(only 1.8 K).

By incorporating hidden scale symmetry and hidden local symmetry in the nuclear effective field theory,combined with the double soft-pion theorem, we predict that the Gamow-Teller operator coming from the space component of the axial current should remain unaffected by the QCD vacuum change caused by the baryonic density,whereas the first forbidden beta transition operator coming from the time component should be strongly *** the latter has been confirmed for some time, the former was given support by a powerful recent ab initio quantum Monte Carlo calculation for light nuclei, which also confirmed the old？chiral filter hypothesis.＂ Formulated in terms of the Fermi-liquid fixed point structure of strong-coupled nuclear interactions, we offer an extremely simple resolution to the long-standing puzzle of the＂quenched g A,＂ gAeff ≈1 [1], found in nuclear Gamow-Teller beta transitions, giant Gamow-Teller resonances, and double beta decays.
