Long-term lamivudine for chronic hepatitis B and cirrhosis: A real-life cohort study

AIM: To investigate clinical outcomes of chronic hepatitis B(CHB) and liver cirrhosis(LC) patients under whole-course management with lamivudine(LAM). METHODS: This was a retrospective-prospective cohort study based on two nonrandom cohorts of Chinese patients(LAM group and history control group). Two hundred thirty-eight patients with LAM treatment for at least 12 mo under whole-course management were included in the LAM group. The management measures included regular follow-up and timely adjustment of the therapeutic regimen according to drug-resistance and relapse. Two hundred thirtyeight patients with CHB or LC without any antiviral treatment and with follow-up over 12 mo were included in the history control group. The LAM and control group patients were 1:1 matched by propensity score method to ensure both patients were similar in general datum,sex,age,E antigen,and diagnosis. The incidence rates of endpoint events [LC,hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC),and death] were compared between the LAM and control ***: Hepatitis B virus-DNA < 1000 copies per m L rate and rate of alanine transaminase < 1.3 of theupper normal limit in LAM and control groups were 89.1% vs 18.5%(P < 0.05) and 89.8% vs 31.1%(P < 0.05),respectively. Viral breakthrough occurred in 77 patients(32.4%); the one-,three-,and fiveyear cumulative rates were 6.8%,33.1%,and 41.3%,respectively. In total,44.5%(106/238) of patients had once stopped LAM,and 63(59.4%) of them developed virologic relapse; the relapse rate of patients with and without reaching Asian Pacific Association for the Study of the Liver endpoint criteria were 52.4% and 69.8%,respectively. Six CHB patients in the LAM group developed LC compared to 47 patients in the control group; the three-,and five-year cumulative rates of CHB at baseline of LAM were lower than those of the control group: 0.7% vs 12.0% and 1.8% vs 23.8%(P < 0.01),respectively. Arsenic-vanadium polyoxometalates（POMs） represent a family of tremendous potential catalysts owing to their peculiar physical and chemical *** in CO2conversion,using POMs to catalyze the conversion of CO2and epoxide into chemical intermediates is the research ***,A new family number of arsenic-vanadium POMs,[N（CH3）4]4[As8V12O38（H2O）]·2H2O({As8V12O38}),was reported and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction,fourier transform infrared spectroscopy,X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy,*** from other allotropicity,{As8V12O38}shows a different structure pattern with an I-43d *** obtained {As8V12O38} was employed as a catalyst for the *** initial catalytic reaction confirmed that {As8V12O38} can catalyze the formation of epoxy carbonate by using 1.01 kPa CO2and epoxide at 70℃.Furtherly,when added amine in the catalytic system,oxazolidinone could be obtained by high yields,which provides an efficient way to convert CO2into profitable ***,a possible catalytic reaction mechanism was proposed by using different characterization analyses.{As8V12O38} first catalyzes the epoxide and CO2to form an epoxy carbonate and then catalyzes epoxy carbonate and benzylamine into oxazolidinone.

Breaking the structural symmetry of active sites in zeolite imidazolate framework for enhanced CO2 photoreduction

Adjusting the structure and composition of active sites is a highly effective method for activating linear ***, precise control of interfacial chemistry within molecular-scale environments presents a significant challenge in heterogeneous catalysis. In our study, we present symmetry-broken mo-O-Co triple-atom active sites within the hybrid zeolite imidazole framework HZIF-Como. These sites disrupt the electronic balance and create a weak built-in electric field, thus promoting photocatalytic CO2reduction. The CO yield over HZIF-Como is improved to 3.1 mmol g-1h-1, which is over four times higher than the parent cobalt-imidazole framework MAF-6-Co. Both experimental and theoretical studies indicate that electronic modulation through the symmetry-breaking mo-O-Co moiety acts as an organizing knob to accelerate charge separation and result in more carriers participating in the catalytic reaction. This work provides important insights into optimizing site-related electronic structures for targeted photocatalytic reactions.

Photoactive complexes of nonprecious transition metals, mainly including those in the first-row and partially the second-row of the Periodic table of elements, have received increasing attention in view of their low cost and long-term sustainability. They are recognized as promising alternatives to noble transition metal complex congeners that have been extensively studied in optoelectronic devices, artificial photosynthesis, photocatalysis, biodiagnostics, and therapeutics, etc. This review is devoted to a comprehensive summary on the classical and recent advances on photoactive nonprecious transition metal complexes, including photoactive Zr, V, Cr, mo, and W complexes, Mn complexes and hybrids, Fe, Co, Ni, and Cu complexes, and Zn and Cd complexes and hybrids. A particular focus is given on the molecular design, modulation of photophysical and photochemical properties, and applications of the representative and lately-developed nonprecious metal complexes. In addition, a perspective on the future development in this field is provided at the end of this review.

The title compound, 3-[2-（4-fluoro-phenyl）-ethyl]-5-methyl-4-hydroxyl-4-methyl- 7-methylsulfanyl-3,4-dihydro-pyrido[4,3-d]pyrimidine-8-carbonitrile, has been prepared and detemined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The crystal belongs to the triclinic system, space group P1 with a = 6.8754（8）, b = 10.2617（12）, c = 13.3491（16） A, α = 93.163（2）, β = 96.704（2）, γ = 102.421（2）°, V= 910.35（19）A^3, Z= 2, Mr= 370.44, Dc= 1.351 g/cm^3,μ = 0.203 mm^-1,F（000） = 388, the final R = 0.0573 and wR = 0.1497. X-ray analysis reveals that the pyridine and pyrimidine rings are almost coplanar.

Type-2 Fuzzy Control for Driving State and Behavioral Decisions of Unmanned Vehicle

In this paper, interval type-2 fuzzy sets, fuzzy comprehensive evaluation and the fuzzy control rules are synthesized to realize the control of unmanned vehicle in driving state and behavioral decisions. Compared to the type-1 fuzzy set, type-2 fuzzy sets have more advantages in handling the model based on uncertainties, linguistic information because the membership functions are fuzzy sets. Different membership functions are established for each factor when the unmanned vehicle is driving at different speed intervals. In addition, a new evaluation method is developed to analyze unmanned vehicle’s driving state. Finally, a set of dynamic fuzzy rules are sorted out, which can be applied to the unmanned vehicle’s behavioral decision-making and provide a new idea to related research.

Indexing the relationship between polar motion and water mass change in a giant river basin

Previous studies on the relationship between polar motion and water mass change have mainly concentrated on the excitation of polar motion via global terrestrial water storage changes(TWSC). In view of the uneven distribution of global terrestrial water storage, the relationship between regional water mass change and polar motion needs to be further explored owing to the lack of documented results. In addition, given the uncertainty in the estimation of TWSC, it is required to develop appropriate indices to describe water mass change from different perspectives. The Amazon River basin(referred to Amazon hereafter), containing the world's largest river, located at around the 90°W longitude, is selected as the study area. Water vapor flux, precipitation, runoff and TWSC are selected as the indices of water mass changes to reveal the relationship between polar motion and water mass change in this giant basin. The Mann-Kendall(M-K) method, the accumulated anomaly analysis method and the curvature method are used to identify the abrupt change points; the least squares method is used to estimate the trends,and the Fast Fourier Transform(FFT) and the Ensemble Empirical mode Decomposition(EEMD) are used to perform a periodic analysis, for all the above indices. It is shown that, of all the indices from 1948 to 2011, water vapor flux is the most closely related index to polar motion. In detail, precipitation and water vapor flux contain beat periods of polar motion; water vapor flux,precipitation and polar motion have a common M-K test abrupt change point(occurring in ca. 1968) at the 0.05 significance level; water vapor flux has a similar accumulated anomaly curve with that of polar motion; and water vapor flux is more highly correlated with polar motion than most other indexes. It is found, just like global TWSC, the χ2 component of the excitation via water vapor flux and water storage change in the Amazon follows that of observed polar motion; χ1 does not follow. However,

New observation on the key schedule of RECTANGLE

We evaluate the security of RECTANGLE from the perspective of actual key information(AKI).Insufficient AKI permits the attackers to deduce some subkey bits from some other subkey bits, thereby lowering the overall attack complexity or getting more attacked rounds. By considering the interaction between the key schedule’s diffusion and the round function’s diffusion, we find there exists AKI insufficiency in 4 consecutive rounds for RECTANGLE-80 and 6 consecutive rounds for RECTANGLE-128, although the master key bits achieve complete diffusion in 2 and 4 rounds, respectively. With such weakness of the key schedule, we give a generic meet-in-the-middle attack on 12-round reduced RECTANGLE-128 with only 8 known plaintexts. moreover, we calculate AKI of variants of RECTANGLE as well as *** we find that both RECTANGLE-128 and PRESENT-128 with no key schedule involve more AKI than the original one. Based on this finding, we slightly modify the key schedule of *** with the original one, this new key schedule matches better with the round function in terms of maximizing AKI. Our work adds more insight to the design of block ciphers’ key schedule.

The study of fuzzy chaotic neural network based on chaotic method

This paper proposes a type of Fuzzy Chaotic Neural Network (FCNN). Firstly, the model of recurrent fuzzy neural network (RFNN) is considered, which adds a feedback in the second layer to realize dynamic map. Then, the Logistic map is introduced into the recurrent fuzzy neural network, so as to build a Fuzzy Chaotic Neural Network (FCNN). Its chaotic character is analyzed, and then the training algorithm and associate memory ability are studied subsequently. And then, a chaotic system is approximated using FCNN;the simulation results indicate that FCNN could approach dynamic system preferably. And owing to the introducing of chaotic map, the chaotic recollect capacity of FCNN is increased.

The rapid growth of modern mobile devices leads to a large number of distributed data,which is extremely valuable for learning ***,model training by collecting all these original data to a centralized cloud server is not applicable due to data privacy and communication costs concerns,hindering artificial intelligence from empowering mobile ***,these data are not identically and independently distributed(Non-IID)caused by their different context,which will deteriorate the performance of the *** address these issues,we propose a novel Distributed Learning algorithm based on hierarchical clustering and Adaptive Dataset Condensation,named ADC-DL,which learns a shared model by collecting the synthetic samples generated on each *** tackle the heterogeneity of data distribution,we propose an entropy topsis comprehensive tiering model for hierarchical clustering,which distinguishes clients in terms of their data ***,synthetic dummy samples are generated based on the hierarchical structure utilizing adaptive dataset *** procedure of dataset condensation can be adjusted adaptively according to the tier of the *** experiments demonstrate that the performance of our ADC-DL is more outstanding in prediction accuracy and communication costs compared with existing algorithms.
