Essential thrombocythemia with non-ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction as the first manifestation:A case report

A MicroRNA Catalog of Swine Umbilical Vein Endothelial Cells Identified by Deep Sequencing

MicroRNAs （miRNAs） are endogenous -22 nt RNAs that play important regulatory roles in targeting mRNAs for cleavage or translational repression. Despite the discovery of increasing numbers of human and mouse miRNAs, little is known about miRNAs from pig. In this study, we sought to extend the repertoire of porcine small regulatory RNAs using Solexa sequencing. We sequenced a library of small RNAs prepared from immortalized swine umbilical vein endothelial cells （SUVECs）. We produced over 13.6 million short sequence reads, of which 8 547 658 perfectly mapped to the pig genome. A bioinformatics pipeline was used to identify authentic mature miRNA sequences. We identified 154 porcine miRNA genes, among which 146 were conserved across species, and 8 were pig-specific miRNA genes. The 146 miRNA genes encoded 116 conserved mature miRNAs and 66 miRNA^＊. The 8 pig-specific miRNA genes encoded 4 mature miRNAs. Four potential novel miRNAs were identified. The secondary structures of the 154 miRNA genes were predicted; 13 miRNAs have 2 structures, and miR-9 and miR-199 have 4 and 3 structures, respectively. 36 miRNAs were organized into 19 compact clusters, miR-206, miR-21 and miR-378 were the relatively highly expressed miRNAs. In conclusion, Solexa sequencing allowed the successful discovery of known and novel porcine miRNAs with high accuracy and efficiency. Furthermore, our results supply new data to the somewhat insufficient pig miRBase, and are useful for investigating features of the blood-brain barrier, vascular diseases and inflammation.

Significance of the preoperative guidance of dual-source CT in carotid body tumor

Background Accurate views of the head and neck vessels, tumor angiogenesis and the relationship of tumor and the surrounding blood vessels are especially crucial to carotid body tumor （CBT） patients. The aim of this study was to explore the value of dual-source CT （DSCT） cerebral and carotid angiography in CBT *** DSCT cerebral and carotid angiography was performed on nine patients with CBT. Two-dimensional and three-dimensional reconstruction images were obtained by means of multiple planar reconstructions （MPR）,maximum intensity projection （MIP） and volume rendering （VR）. All patients were subjected to color Doppler flow imaging （CDFI） examination. Two kinds of examinations were performed in 3 days, and all patients were confirmed by *** DSCT angiography was successful in all patients. CBTs were diagnosed in 9 patients with 10 lesions （1 case had multiple bilateral CBTs）. The largest lesion was 12 cm in diameter, and the smallest one was 1.6 cm in diameter. All patients had clearly demonstrated head and neck vessels, tumor angiogenesis, and tumor relationship with the surrounding blood vessels. The internal and external carotid artery （ICA, ECA） were involved in 2 cases. There were 7 cases with basilar artery ring integrity, and 1 case had the posterior communicating artery absent; 1 case had middle cerebral artery stenosis; 4 cases （4 tumors） showed arterial phase homogeneous enhancement; 5 cases （6 tumors） had obvious heterogeneous enhancement where irregular low-density necrosis could be seen in the tumors. CDFI could demonstrate the nearby blood vessels and tumor structure, instead of tumor angiogenesis. However, DSCT can display both the tumor and the peripheral vascular tumor angiogenesis consistent with surgical *** DSCT cerebral and carotid angiography can provide reliable information for the operation. It might be a valuable CBT diagnostic method by showing accurate views of the CBT along with the bilateral neck

Ionic Liquid Electrospray Thrusters(ILETs)are well suited for micro-nano satellite applications due to their small size,low power consumption,and high specific ***,the limited thrust of a single-emitter ILET restricts its use in space *** optimize the performance of ILETs and make them suitable for a wider range of space missions,we designed a Circular-emitter ILET(CILET)to convert a one-dimensional(point)emission into a twodimensional(line)*** CILET can self-organize multiple Taylor cones *** cones were photographed and the axial emission currents were measured under different voltage and pressure difference conditions with a CILET experimental *** emission can be divided into two stable states and one unstable state based on the flow and current *** current in Stable state Ⅰ increases non-linearly with the voltage,while that in Stable state Ⅱ is nearly linear with respect to the *** number of cones increases with the voltage in stable states,while the cones become short and crowded under high-voltage *** variation law of the number of cones can be explained with the self-organization *** variation in the current exhibits a good correlation with the number of *** study demonstrates the feasibility of circular emitters and experimentally indicates that the emission current is improved by approximately two orders of magnitude compared to that of a single capillary.

Atomically precise metal nanoclusters(NCs)have been deemed as a new generation of metal nanomaterials in the field of solar energy conversion due to their unique atomic stacking manner,quantum confinement effects,light-harvesting capability and multitude of active ***,wide-spread application of monometallic NCs is blocked by the ultrashort carrier lifespan,uncontrollable charge transport pathway,and light-induced poor stability,impeding the construction of robust and stable metal NC-based ***,we report the fabrication of stable alloy(Au_(1-x)Pt_(x))NCs photosystem,for which tailor-made negatively charged l-glutathione(GSH)-capped Au_(1-x)Pt_(x)NCs as the building blocks are controllably deposited on the Bi VO_(4)(BVO)by a self-assembly approach for steering enhanced light absorption and interfacial charge transfer over alloy NCs-based photoanodes(Au_(1-x)Pt_(x)/BVO).The self-assembled Au_(1-x)Pt_(x)/BVO composite photoanode exhibits the significantly enhanced photoelectrochemical water oxidation performances compared with pristine BVO and Au_(x)/BVO photoanodes,which is caused by the Pt atom doping into the Au_(x)NCs for elevating photosensitivity and boosting the *** synergy of Au and Pt atoms in alloy NCs protects the gold core from rapid oxidation,improving the photostability and accelerating the surface charge transfer *** work would significantly inspire ongoing interest in unlocking the charge transport characteristics of atomically precise alloy NCs for solar energy conversion.

Enhancement of weathered crust elution-deposited rare earth ores leaching process with PQ-10 addition

To solve the problems of the long development period,low mass transfer efficiency and high impurity conte nt in the in-situ leaching process of weathe red crust elution-deposited rare earth ores(WCE-DREO),cationic hydroxyethyl cellulose(PQ-10)was composited with conventional leaching agent ammonium sulfate((NH_(4))_(2)SO_(4))to form a novel composite leaching *** effects of PQ-10 concentration,leaching temperature and leaching flow rate of the composite leaching agent on the leaching kinetics and mass transfer processes of rare earth(RE)and aluminum(Al)were *** to the single leaching agent(NH_(4))_(2)SO_(4),the composite leaching agent(2 wt%(NH_(4))_(2)SO_(4)+0.02 wt%PQ-10)can reduce the RE leaching equilibrium time from 465 to 130 min and increase the RE leaching efficiency and decrease the Al leaching *** also facilitates the leaching process of WCE-DREO by increasing the peak concentrations of RE and Al,reducing the theoretical tower plate height(HETP)and improving the leaching mass transfer *** is indicated that PQ-10 can promote the leaching of *** leaching process of the composite leaching system conforms to the diffusion kinetic control *** the PQ-10 concentration is in the range of 0.005 wt%-0.020 wt%,the reaction orders of RE and Al are 0.73 and 0.54,respectively,which shows a positive effect on the leaching velocity;when the PQ-10 concentration is in the range of 0.030 wt%-0.060 wt%,the reaction orders of RE and Al are-1.16 and-0.75,respectively,which show a negative effect on the leaching *** the range of 10-50℃,the apparent activation energies of RE and Al are 15.02 and 17.31 kJ/mol,respectively,and the higher the leaching temperature,the smaller the HETP and the higher the leaching velocity and mass transfer *** increase in leaching flow rate contributes to the increase in the longitudinal diffusion velocity of the leaching agent within WCE-DREO,causing a shorter time for RE

Heavy metal stress strengthens the stability and complexity of microbial molecular ecological networks in Sanyang wetland sediments

Remaining Life Prediction Method for Photovoltaic Modules Based on Two-Stage Wiener Process

Photovoltaic (PV) modules, as essential components of solar power generation systems, significantly influence unitpower generation *** service life of these modules directly affects these costs. Over time, the performanceof PV modules gradually declines due to internal degradation and external environmental *** cumulativedegradation impacts the overall reliability of photovoltaic power generation. This study addresses the complexdegradation process of PV modules by developing a two-stage Wiener process model. This approach accountsfor the distinct phases of degradation resulting from module aging and environmental influences. A powerdegradation model based on the two-stage Wiener process is constructed to describe individual differences inmodule degradation processes. To estimate the model parameters, a combination of the Expectation-Maximization(EM) algorithm and the Bayesian method is employed. Furthermore, the Schwarz Information Criterion (SIC) isutilized to identify critical change points in PV module degradation trajectories. To validate the universality andeffectiveness of the proposed method, a comparative analysis is conducted against other established life predictiontechniques for PV modules.
