P（N-isopropylacrylamide）（PNIPAM） prepared by reversible addition fragmentation chain transfer （RAFT） polymerization exhibited gelation retardation. The intermediate before gelation was characterized and indicated the presence of branched or hyperbranched chains. The swelling behavior was investigated, and the gel by RAFT polymerization （RAFT gel） showed accelerated shrinking kinetics and higher swelling ratio comparing with conventional gels （CG）. The study was extended to gels prepared by using 2-hydroxy- 1-ethanethiol as chain transfer agent and by using low concentration solutions. The two systems also exhibited retardation effects and improved deswelling kinetics. The different swelling behaviors of these gels and CG could be attributed to the presence of dangling chains caused by gelation retardation.

The poor compatibility of ester electrolytes with lithium metal anode severely limits its use in high voltage lithium metal batteries(LMBs).In this work,a bidentate solvent 1,2-diethoxyethane(DEE) is introduced into ester electrolyte to regulate the ion-dipole interactions to enhance the solubility of LiNO_(3),which enables compatibility with Li anode and maintains the high voltage cathode *** the designed electrolyte,the steric effect of DEE facilitates the participation of NO_(3)^(-)and PF_6^(-)anions in the Li^(+) solvation structure,thus promoting the generation of inorganic-rich solid electrolyte interphase(SEI).And the low viscosity of DEE also ensures that the ester electrolyte poses good interracial *** a result,our designed electrolyte enables the high-loading Li‖NCM622 and Li‖NCM811(^(3) mA h cm^(-2)) full cells to achieve stable cycling over 200 cycles,8 times longer than that of a conventional ester *** work suggests that regulation of intermolecular interactions in conventional ester electrolytes is a scalable and effective approach to achieve excellent electrochemical performance of LMBs.

Coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)has affected the quality of sleep for various populations,causing anxiety and depression ***-19–related insomnia(COVIDRI)appears to be more common in certain populations,including females,urban residents and other individuals who reside in high-risk COVID-19–related areas,lack higher socioeconomic and educational levels,have a history of underlying mental illness,have no access to social support and work,or have been mandated for *** vulnerable pop-ulations,pregnant women,adolescents and children are more likely to suffer from anxiety and depression,which leads to irregular sleep-wake cycles and significantly poor sleep *** in COVID-19 patients is associated with decreased immune levels,ex-cessive psychological stress and severe *** COVIDRI incidence and severity among frontline healthcare workers is high,espe-cially among females and those working in isolation wards and intensive care *** factors related to COVIDRI for college students during home study are stress from upcoming graduation,disharmonious family relationships and inadaptability to online *** military personnel,anxiety and depression are the main causes of poor sleep *** on the characteristics of different popula-tions,active Chinese and Western medications,non-drug therapy,psychological counseling and suitable sleep management are vital measures to strengthen immunity,alleviate insomnia and limit recurrence.

A novel glutamate-dependent poly-γ-glutamic acid(γ-PGA)-producing strain Bacillus velezensis CAU263 isolated from Chinese traditional Douchi was *** efficient method ofγ-PGA production was performed by this strain via solid-state fermentation(SSF)using guar *** maximal yield ofγ-PGA reached 158.5 g/kg dry weight(DW)in 250 mL flasks and 155.1 g/kg DW in shallow tray,*** molecular weight ofγ-PGA was 3.8×106 Da,the ratio of L/D-glutamic acid was 26.1%and 73.9%.Additionally,γ-PGA significantly improved the operating characteristics of wheat dough,the specific volume of bread was increased by 15.8%and the bread hardness was reduced by 44.2%owing to the addition of 0.3 g/kgγ-***,γ-PGA could be produced by Bacillus velezensis CAU263 at high level using guar meal and might have potential application prospect in food industry.

Homopolymer（PBIP） containing 2,6-bis（1＇-methylbenzimidazolyl）pyridine（Me BIP） ligands in the side chain was synthesized by RAFT polymerization and its kinetics was studied. Polymeric complex PBIP-Nd^3＋ was prepared by chelating PBIP with lanthanide ion Nd^3＋. The homopolymers and PBIP-Nd^3＋ complex were investigated by NMR, FTIR, GPC and TGA. The optical property of PBIP-Nd^3＋ complex was characterized by UV-Vis spectroscopy. The magnetic property of PBIP-Nd^3＋ complex was measured as a function of temperature（5 K to 300 K） and as a function of field（-3.98×10^6 A/m to 3.98×10^6 A/m）. These results indicated that PBIP-Nd^3＋ complex is paramagnetic.

minimum quantity lubrication(MQL)is a relatively efficient and clean alternative to flooding workpiece *** atomization has the merits of small droplet diameter,high uniformity of droplet size,and strong coating,hence its superiority to pneumatic ***,as the current research hotspot,the influence of jet parameters and electrical parameters on the average diameter of droplets is not ***,by observing the shape of the liquid film at the nozzle outlet,the influence law of air pressure and voltage on liquid film thickness(h)and transverse and longitudinal fluctuations are ***,the mathematical model of charged droplet volume average diameter(VAD)is constructed based on three dimensions of the liquid film,namely its thickness,transverse wavelength(λ_(h)),and longitudinal wavelength(λ_(z)).The model results under different working conditions are obtained by numerical *** of the model results with the experimental VAD of the droplet confirm the error of the mathematical model to be less than 10%.The droplet diameter distribution span value Rosin–Rammler distribution span(R.S)and percentage concentrations of PM10(particle size of less than 10μm)/PM2.5(particle size of less than 2.5μm)under different working conditions are further *** results show that electrostatic atomization not only reduces the diameter distribution span of atomized droplets but also significantly inhibits the formation of PM10 and PM2.5 fine-suspension *** the air pressure is 0.3 MPa,and the voltage is 40 kV,the percentage concentrations of PM10 and PM2.5 can be reduced by 80.72%and 92.05%,respectively,compared with that under the pure pneumatic atomization condition at 0.3 MPa.

Efficiently modifying glycals by directly introducing functional groups into their double bonds is a longstanding ***,the strategy of introducing two different functional groups into 1-iodoglycals to obtain modified glycals in one step through palladium catalysis was reported for the first time,and the modified glycals contained stereodefined tetrasubstituted *** this method,various difunctionalized glycals that were difficult to form by other routes were synthesized in moderate to good *** experiments and density functional theory calculations show that the palladium catalyst played dual roles in this transformation,namely,inducing nucleophilic substitution and catalyzing Suzuki *** reaction intermediate was isolated and confirmed by X-ray crystallographic ***,the gram-scale synthesis and facile deprotection of the target compound enhances the practicality of this strategy.
