Polydatin ameliorates hepatic ischemia-reperfusion injury by modulating macrophage polarization

Implanted neural probes can detect weak discharges of neurons in the brain by piercing soft brain tissue,thus as important tools for brain science research,as well as diagnosis and treatment of brain ***,the rigid neural probes,such as Utah arrays,Michigan probes,and metal microfilament electrodes,are mechanically unmatched with brain tissue and are prone to rejection and glial scarring after implantation,which leads to a significant degradation in the signal quality with the implantation *** recent years,flexible neural electrodes are rapidly developed with less damage to biological tissues,excellent biocompatibility,and mechanical compliance to alleviate *** them,the mechanical modeling is important for the optimization of the structure and the implantation *** this review,the theoretical calculation of the flexible neural probes is firstly summarized with the processes of buckling,insertion,and relative interaction with soft brain tissue for flexible probes from outside to ***,the corresponding mechanical simulation methods are organized considering multiple impact factors to realize minimally invasive ***,the technical difficulties and future trends of mechanical modeling are discussed for the next-generation flexible neural probes,which is critical to realize low-invasiveness and long-term coexistence in vivo.

Microstructure and mechanical properties of Co-28Cr-6Mo-0.22C investment castings by current solution treatment

This study examined the impact of current solution treatment on the microstructure and mechanical properties of the Co-28Cr-6Mo-0.22C alloy investment *** findings reveal that the current solution treatment significantly promotes the dissolution of carbides at a lower *** optimal conditions for solution treatment are determined as a solution temperature of 1,125°C and a holding time of 5.0 *** these parameters,the size and volume fraction of precipitated phases in the investment castings are measured as6.2μm and 1.1vol.%.The yield strength,ultimate tensile strength,and total elongation of the Co-28Cr-6Mo-0.22C investment castings are 535 MPa,760 MPa,and 12.6%,*** values exceed those obtained with the conventional solution treatment at 1,200°C for 4.0 *** findings suggest a phase transformation of M_(23)C_(6)→σ+C following the current solution treatment at 1,125°C for 5.0 *** comparison,the traditional solution treatment at 1,200°C for 4.0 h leads to the formation of M_(23)C_(6)and M_(6)C *** is noteworthy that the non-thermal effect of the current during the solution treatment modifies the free energy of both the matrix and precipitation *** modification lowers the phase transition temperature of the M_(23)C_(6)→σ+C reaction,thereby facilitating the dissolution of *** a result,the current solution treatment approach achieves carbide dissolution at a lower temperature and within a significantly shorter time when compared to the traditional solution treatment methods.

RNA sequencing of exosomes secreted by fibroblast and Schwann cells elucidates mechanisms underlying peripheral nerve regeneration

Program Derivation and Mechanized Verification of Imperative Dynamic Programming Algorithms

As a recursive method for finding the optimal solution to a problem, dynamic programming mainly solves the original problem by first solving the subproblems and then combining their solutions. Due to a large number of dependencies and constraints among its subproblems, the validation procedure is laborious, and especially the correctness verification of imperative dynamic programming algorithms is a challenge. Based on the functional modeling and verification of dynamic programming algorithms Isabelle/HOL, this study avoids dealing with complex dependencies and constraints in proving correctness by verifying the equivalence of imperative dynamic programming algorithms and their programs. Meanwhile, a framework for the design of imperative dynamic programming algorithmic programs and their mechanized verification are proposed. First, according to the optimization method (memo method) and properties (optimal substructure property and subproblems overlapping property) of dynamic programming algorithms, the problem specification is described, the recursive relations are inductively derived, and the loop invariants are formally constructed. Then, the IMP (minimalistic imperative programming language) code is generated based on the recursive relations. Second, the problem specification, loop invariants, and generated IMP code are fed into VCG (verification condition generator) to generate the verification condition for correctness automatically. Additionally, the verification condition is then mechanically verified in the Isabelle/HOL theorem prover. The algorithm is initially designed in the general form of an imperative dynamic programming algorithm and further instantiated to obtain specific algorithms. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed framework is validated by case studies to provide references for automated derivation and verification of dynamic programming algorithms. © 2024 Chinese Academy of Sciences.
