Heavy metal stress strengthens the stability and complexity of microbial molecular ecological networks in Sanyang wetland sediments

Pollution from heavy metals(HMs)(Cd,As,Cr,and Ni,etc.)has become a serious environmental issue in urban wetland ecosystems with more and more *** studies conducted in agricultural soils,rivers,and lakes demonstrated that microbial communities exhibit a response to HM ***,little is known about the response of microbial communities to HM pollution in urban wetland *** examined how heavy metals affect the stability of the microbial networks in the sediments of Sanyang wetland,Wenzhou,*** environmental parameters,including HMs,TC(total carbon),TN(total nitrogen),TP(total phosphorus),S,and pH,varied profoundly between moderately and heavily polluted areas in shaping microbial ***,the microbial community composition in moderately polluted sites correlated significantly(Plinks,average degree,average clustering coefficient,connectance,relative modularity,robustness,and ***,the structural equation modeling analysis demonstrated a positive correlation between the stability of microbial networks and Cd,TN,TP,and S in heavily polluted ***,in moderately polluted sites,the correlation was positively linked to Cd,Ni,and sediment *** implies that Cd could potentially play a crucial role in affecting the stability of microbial *** study shall enhance our comprehension of microbial co-occurrence patterns in urban wetland ecosystems and offer insights into the ways in which microbial communities respond to environmental factors in varying levels of HM pollution.

Revealing and predicting the long-term biomechanical response of orthokeratology by developing a patient-specific computational model

Tailoring BaCe0.7Zr0.1(Dy0.1|Yb0.1)0.2O3-δ electrolyte through strategic Cu doping for low temperature proton conducting fuel cells:Envisioned theoretically and experimentally

This study addresses the challenge of high sintering temperatures in proton-conducting fuel cells（PCFCs）with BaCeO3-doped *** demonstrate that 1 mol% copper（Cu） doping at the B-site of BaCe0.7Zr0.1(Dy0.1|Yb0.1)0.2O3-δ（BCZDYb） improves sintering behavior,enabling densification at1400℃.However,Cu doping disrupts stoichiometry,creating barium vacancies and reducing protonaccepting cations,affecting overall *** mechanism is confirmed through density functional theory（DFT） calculations and various experimental techniques,including crystal structure analysis using X-ray diffraction（XRD） and morphology and elemental analysis via field emission scanning electron microscopy（FESEM） and energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy（EDS）.Electrochemical measurements are performed using the electrochemical impedance spectroscopy（EIS）.The ionic conductivity of1 mol% Cu-doped BCZDYb（BCZDYb-1） is 1.49×10-2S cm-1at 650℃,which is～3.58 times higher than that of BCZDYb sintered at 1200℃.The BCZDYb-1 exhibits ～16 times higher grain boundary conductivity when sintered at 1400℃,compared to undoped *** single cell employing BCZDYb-1 as the electrolyte achieved a power density of ～606 mW cm-2at 550℃.These results indicate that a controlled amount of Cu doping can enhance densification while maintaining high ionic co nductivity,making it suitable for practical applications in PCFCs operating at lower temperatures.

Neural Network Based on Inter-layer Perturbation Strategy for Text Classification

Recently,many researches have created adversarial samples to enrich the diversity of training data for improving the text classification performance via reducing the loss incurred in the neural network ***,existing studies have focused solely on adding perturbations to the input,such as text sentences and embedded representations,resulting in adversarial samples that are very similar to the original *** adversarial samples can not significantly improve the diversity of training data,which restricts the potential for improved classification *** alleviate the problem,in this paper,we extend the diversity of generated adversarial samples based on the fact that adding different disturbances between different layers of neural network has different *** propose a novel neural network with perturbation strategy(PTNet),which generates adversarial samples by adding perturbation to the intrinsic representation of each hidden layer of the neural ***,we design two different perturbation ways to perturb each hidden layer:1)directly adding a certain threshold perturbation;2)adding the perturbation in the way of adversarial *** above settings,we can get more perturbed intrinsic representations of hidden layers and use them as new adversarial samples,thus improving the diversity of the augmented training *** validate the effectiveness of our approach on six text classification datasets and demonstrate that it improves the classification ability of the *** particular,the classification accuracy on the sentiment analysis task improved by an average of 1.79%and on question classification task improved by 3.2%compared to the BERT baseline,respectively.

在诊疗一体化大背景下,通过设计新颖的纳米材料以实现多模式成像备受关注.其中,磁共振和荧光成像是临床常用的成像手段,将这两种成像方法结合起来实现双模式成像,可为疾病诊断提供更大便利.本文采用微乳液模板法将具有T_(2)磁共振成像功能的Fe_(3)O_(4)纳米粒子与具有荧光成像功能的CuInS_(2)纳米粒子共组装,制备了Fe_(3)O_(4)/CuInS_(2)二元超粒子.使用生物相容性良好的聚乙二醇-聚乳酸-羟基乙酸嵌段共聚物对二元超粒子进行修饰,提高了其生物安全性.该二元超粒子除具有双模式成像功能外,引入的Fe_(3)O_(4)纳米粒子还赋予其光热治疗潜力,并可以作为载体负载紫杉醇等药物,为实现成像引导下的肿瘤联合治疗提供了机会.

Hydraulic conductivity over a wide suction range of loess with different dry densities

Experimental research into the hydraulic conductivity curve (HCC) of unsaturated soil is limited due to the inherent challenge associated with labor, cost, and time. Typically, the HCC is estimated using the soil water characteristic curve (SWCC) based models and saturated hydraulic conductivity (SHC). However, the efficiency of the SWCC-based model is rarely assessed, and the influence of soil density and pore structure on HCC remains incomplete due to limited experimental data. To address this gap, this study employs an innovative filter-paper-based column method, which can measure the HCC over a wide suction range (e.g. 0−105 kPa), to capture the HCCs of both intact and compacted specimens with varying dry densities. The efficiency of two typical SWCC-based models is assessed using the measured data. Meanwhile, the mercury intrusion porosity (MIP) technique is employed to obtain the pore characteristic (i.e. pore size distribution (PSD)) and a method of predicting the HCC using the PSD data is proposed, emphasizing the dominant role of the pore structure in shaping the HCC. The results reveal that the dry density's influence on the HCC is primarily observed within the low suction range, corresponding to variations in the dominant and large pores. In the high suction range, the HCCs align along a linear trajectory when plotted in a log-log format. A notable finding is the overestimation of the HCC obtained from the SWCC-based models using the measured SHC. When the SHC is regarded as a fitting parameter, good agreement is achieved. The adjusted SHC value is typically 0-1 order of magnitude lower than the measured value, and this discrepancy diminishes as dry density increases. On the other hand, the proposed PSD-based model performs well with the measured SHC data. Caution is exercised when using the SHC to estimate the HCC for modeling water movement in partially saturated soil.
