A buffer overflow detection and defense method based on RiSC-V instruction set extension

Buffer overflow poses a serious threat to the memory security of modern operating *** overwrites the con-tents of other memory areas by breaking through the buffer capacity limit,destroys the system execution environ-ment,and provides implementation space for various system attacks such as program control flow *** makes it a wide range of harms.A variety of security technologies have been proposed to deal with system security problems including buffer *** example,No eXecute(NX for short)is a memory management technology commonly used in Harvard *** can refuse the execution of code which residing in a specific memory,and can effectively suppress the abnormal impact of buffer overflow on control ***,in recent years,it has also been used in the field of system security,deriving a series of solutions based on NX technology,such as ExecShield,DEP,StackGuard,***,these security solutions often rely too much on the processor archi-tecture so that the protection coverage is insufficient and the accuracy is *** in the emerging system architecture field represented by RiSC-V,there is still a lack of effective solutions for buffer overflow *** the continuous rapid development of the system architecture,it is urgent to develop defense methods that are applicable to different system application environments and oriented to all executable memory spaces to meet the needs of system security ***,we propose BOP,A new system memory security design method based on RISC-V extended instructions,to build a RISC-V buffer overflow detection and defense system and deal with the buffer overflow threat in *** to this method,NX technology can be combined with program control flow analysis,and Nx bit mechanism can be used to manage the executability of memory space,so as to achieve a more granular detection and defense of buffer overflow attacks that may occur in RISC-V system

Polymerization-induced self-assembly(PISA)combines synthesis and self-assembly of artificial polymers in one-pot,which brings us one step closer to emulating ***,the reported PISA formulations primarily focus on developing nano-objects with new chemical compositions and rarely on structural regulation of polymers with specific ***,sequence structure controllable polymerization-induced self-assembly(SCPISA)is reported by using 7-(2-methacryloyloxyethoxy)-4-methylcoumarin(CMA)as a *** the copolymerization of 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate(HEMA)and CMA,controlled incorporation of CMA units into the polymer chains can be realized by programmable light/heat ***-based P(HEMA-co-CMA)copolymers with the same composition but different sequence structures generate a range of ***,the morphologies of the resultant nano-objects can also be controlled by regulating the feed molar ratio of CMA and HEMA,which is similar to the conventional PISA,but the synthesis procedure is obviously simplified in *** versatility of the methodology is further demonstrated by the fabrication of different functional nano-objects with sequence structure-dependent morphologies in SCPISA systems with different functional monomers.

Test and damage assessment of shallow buried RC tunnel under explosion

As a major element of the transportation network,tunnels are unavoidably threatened by accidental loads such as vehicle bombs and tank truck *** goal of this research is to explore the dynamic characteristics and damage assessment of tunnel structures under contact blast ***,three scaled-down reinforced concrete tunnel models were made,and the explosion test and static loading test were carried out successively to evaluate the axial residual bearing capacity,axial displacement and failure mechanism of the ***,the finite element model is built by utilizing LS-DYNA,and the reliability of the finite element method is confirmed by comparing the data of the explosion test with the static loading *** the same time,the calculation method for damage coefficient and the classification criteria for damage grade based on axial residual bearing capacity are ***,based on the finite element method,the propagation process of the explosion shock wave in the tunnel and the damage mechanism of the tunnel are ***,seven explosion scenarios are developed,the damage degree of these seven tunnels under the blast load is quantitatively analyzed,and further anti-blast design ideas are put *** study in this article may give an intended reference for the damage assessment,anti-explosion design and strengthening work of reinforced concrete tunnels.

Artemsieverolactones A—H,Eight Guaiane-Type Sesquiterpenoid Trimers from Artemisia sieversiana

Eight new guaiane-type sesquiterpenoid trimers,artemsieverolactones A—H,possessing unprecedented scaffolds via biocatalyzed[4+2]Diels−Alder cycloaddition reactions were identified from Artemisia *** structures were determined by comprehensive spectroscopic data,single-crystal X-ray diffraction analyses,and ECD *** terms of structure,artemsieverolactones A—H are first examples of sesquiterpenoid trimers from guaiane-type sesquiterpenoid through four different[4+2]Diels−Alder cycloaddition *** fibrosis assay suggested that five compounds exhibited activity against HSC-LX2 with IC_(50)values ranging from 37.8 to 1.7.1.mol/*** most active artemsieverolactone B(2)displayed significant inhibitory activity against HSC-LX2 with IC_(50)value of 37.8μmol/L,which was 3 times more active than the positive drug silybin(IC_(50),1.9.7μmol/L).Preliminary mechanism study revealed that artemsieverolactone B could inhibit the deposition of human collagen typeⅠ(ColⅠ),human hyaluronic acid(HA),and human laminin(HL)with IC_(50)values of 40.4μmol/L(Col I),55.1.mol/L(HL),47.3μmol/L(HA),which was 2 to 3-fold more potent than silybin.

Astragalus polysaccharide orβ-glucan combined with inactivated vaccine markedly prevent CyHV-2 infection in Carassius auratus gibelio

Herpesviral hematopoietic necrosis disease caused by cyprinid herpesvirus 2(CyHV-2)results in huge economic losses for the gibel carp(Carassius auratus gibelio)aquaculture industry.A vaccination strategy is a feasible method to prevent CyHV-2 infection and the resulting economic *** this study,inactivators(includingβ-propiolactone,formaldehyde and binary ethylenimine)were used to prepare an inactivated *** optimal inactivated CyHV-2 vaccine(0.2%β-propiolactone inactivates CyHV-2 for 48 h)mixed withβ-glucan,anisodamine,chitosan,and astragalus polysaccharide(APS)adjuvants were injected into gibel ***β-glucan and APS combined with inactivated vaccine significantly improved the relative immune protection rate of gibel carp against CyHV-2 *** highest specific antibody levels inβ-glucan and APS groups were found in serum by ELISA assay and antibody neutralization ***,adjuvant addition groups produced better results for lysozyme,total superoxide dismutase,and complement C3 in serum.β-glucan and APS combined with vaccine treatment effectively enhanced mRNA expressions of important immune genes(IL-1.,IgM,IL-2 and IFN-γ2).Minimal tissue lesions(gill,spleen,and head kidney)and virus replication were seen in theβ-glucan and APS groups by histopathological examination and expression analysis of CyHV-2 TK *** results indicated that the combination of inactivated vaccine and adjuvantβ-glucan or APS is an effective method against CyHV-2 infection and provided a case study reference for prevention of fish viral diseases using inactivated vaccines.

Design of artificial biomimetic channels with Na^(+)permeation rate and selectivity potentially outperforming the natural sodium channel

Artificial ion channels that enable high-efficiency ion transport have important implications in nanofluidics and biomedical applications such as drug ***,we show a simulation-based chemical design of a biomimetic sodium channel that possesses permeation rate and selectivity potentially higher than those of the state-of-the-art natural vertebrate voltage-gated sodium ***,our theoretical findings have undergone empirical testing,aligning well with the Arrhenius law as derived from a diverse range of experimental *** high-efficiency ion transport is achieved by anchoring the carboxylate functional groups within the channel filter.A key chemical guiding principle underlying the ion channel design is that the free-energy barrier for the Na^(+)passage across the channel should be comparable to typical thermal energy at room *** the implementation of the chemical design,we found that the relatively low free-energy barrier can be attributed to the compensation effect of the carboxylate groups to the partially lost oxygen shell of the ion within the ion channel,as well as to the consonant vibration of the ions inside and outside the *** mechanistic understanding brings new insight,at the molecular level,into the high-efficiency ion transport across the designed membrane *** proof of principle achieved from the simulations will stimulate future experimental confirmation and potential applications of the high-performance artificial channels in nanofluidics and in bioinspired iontronics.

A deep learning interatomic potential suitable for simulating radiation damage in bulk tungsten

So far, it has been a challenge for existing interatomic potentials to accurately describe a wide range of physical properties and maintain reasonable efficiency. In this work, we develop an interatomic potential for simulating radiation damage in body-centered cubic tungsten by employing deep potential, a neural network-based deep learning model for representing the potential energy surface. The resulting potential predicts a variety of physical properties consistent with first-principles calculations, including phonon spectrum, thermal expansion, generalized stacking fault energies, energetics of free surfaces, point defects, vacancy clusters, and prismatic dislocation loops. Specifically, we investigated the elasticity-related properties of prismatic dislocation loops, i.e., their dipole tensors, relaxation volumes, and elastic interaction energies. This potential is found to predict the maximal elastic interaction energy between two 1.2 1.1.1. loops better than previous potentials, with a relative error of only 7.6%. The predicted threshold displacement energies are in reasonable agreement with experimental results, with an average of 1.8 eV. The efficiency of the present potential is also comparable to the tabulated gaussian approximation potentials and modified embedded atom method potentials, meanwhile, can be further accelerated by graphical processing units. Extensive benchmark tests indicate that this potential has a relatively good balance between accuracy, transferability, and efficiency.

Establishment of a transformation system in close relatives of wheat under the assistance of TaWOX5

Species closely related to wheat are important genetic resources for agricultural production,functional genomics studies and wheat *** this study,a wheat gene related to regeneration,TaWOX5,was applied to establish the Agrobacterium-mediated transformation systems of Triticum monococcum,hexaploid triticale,and rye(Secale cereale L.)using their immature *** plants were efficiently *** the transformation process,the Agrobacterium infection efficiency was assessed by histochemical staining forβ-glucuronidase(GUS).Finally,the transgenic nature of regenerated plants was verified by polymerase chain reaction(PCR)-based genotyping for the presence of the GUS and bialaphos resistance(bar)genes,histochemical staining for GUS protein,and the QuickStix strip assay for bar *** transformation efficiency of *** genotype PI4281.2 was 94.4%;the efficiencies of four hexaploid triticale genotypes Lin456,ZS3297,ZS1.57,and ZS3224 were 52.1.41.2,1..4,and 1..0%,respectively;and the transformation efficiency of rye cultivar Lanzhou Heimai was 7.8%.Fluorescence in situ hybridization(FISH)and genomic in situ hybridization(GISH)analyses indicated that the GUS transgenes were integrated into the distal or near centromere(proximal)regions of the chromosomes in transgenic *** and hexaploid triticale *** the transgenic hexaploid triticale plants,the foreign DNA fragment was randomly integrated into the AABB and RR ***,the transgene was almost stably inherited in the next generation by Mendel’s *** findings in this study will promote the genetic improvement of the three plant species for grain or forage production and the improvement of cereal species including wheat for functional genomics studies.
