Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a chronic metabolic condition characterized predominantlyby hyperglycemia. The most common causes contributing to the pathophysiologyof diabetes are insufficient insulin secretion, resistance to insulin’stissue-acting effects, or a combination of both. Over the last 30 years, the globalprevalence of diabetes increased from 4% to 6.4%. If no better treatment or cure isfound, this amount might climb to 430 million in the coming years. The major fact-ors of the disease’s deterioration include age, obesity, and a sedentary *** new therapies to manage diabetes safely and effectively without jeopardizingpatient compliance has always been essential. Among the medicationsavailable to manage DM on this journey are glucagon-like peptide-1 agonists,thiazolidinediones, sulphonyl urease, glinides, biguanides, and insulin-targetingreceptors discovered more than 10 years ago. Despite the extensive preliminarystudies, a few clinical observations suggest this process is still in its early *** present review focuses on targets that contribute to insulin regulation andmay be employed as targets in treating diabetes since they may be more efficientand secure than current and traditional treatments.

Monogenic diabetes is caused by one or even more genetic variations, which maybe uncommon yet have a significant influence and cause diabetes at an early *** diabetes affects 1 to 5% of children, and early detection and geneticallyfocused treatment of neonatal diabetes and maturity-onset diabetes of theyoung can significantly improve long-term health and well-being. The etiology ofmonogenic diabetes in childhood is primarily attributed to genetic variationsaffecting the regulatory genes responsible for beta-cell activity. In rare instances,mutations leading to severe insulin resistance can also result in the developmentof diabetes. Individuals diagnosed with specific types of monogenic diabetes,which are commonly found, can transition from insulin therapy to sulfonylureas,provided they maintain consistent regulation of their blood glucose *** have successfully devised materials and methodologies to distinguishindividuals with type 1 or 2 diabetes from those more prone to monogenicdiabetes. Genetic screening with appropriate findings and interpretations isessential to establish a prognosis and to guide the choice of therapies andmanagement of these interrelated ailments. This review aims to design a comprehensiveliterature summarizing genetic insights into monogenetic diabetes inchildren and adolescents as well as summarizing their diagnosis and management.

La0.9Sr0.1Ga0.8Mg0.2O3-δ（LSGM） and La0.7Sr0.3Cr0.5Mn0.5O3-δ（LSCM） powders were synthesized by glycine-nitrate process, and LSGM electrolyte thin film was successfully fabricated on porous anode substrate of LSCM by slurry spin coating technology. Some technical parameters for the preparation of LSGM thin films were systematically investigated, including ink composition,sintering temperature, and spin coating times. The electrolyte films with the best compactness and somewhat rough are obtained when the operating parameters are fixed as follows: the content of ethyl cellulose as binder is 5 wt%, the content of terpineol as modifier is 5 wt%, the optimum coating cycle number is 9 times, and the best post-deposition sintering temperature is 1,400 °C for 4 h.

We describe the last glaciation climatic history Marine Isotope Stage(MIS, 2-4) from 66.7 ka to 14.5 ka in Hexigten, northeast Inner Mongolia, North China. The climate of the region experienced frequent and significant fluctuations between dry-cold and less dry-cold during the late MIS4. The climate was generally warm and humid during early MIS3(MIS3 c) and late MIS3(MIS3 a), whereas it was cold and dry in middle MIS3(MIS3 b) and during MIS2. In this study, the cold and dry conditions were correlated with a stronger East Asian winter monsoon and strong dune activity; whereas, warm and humid conditions were related to a stronger East Asian summer monsoon(EASM) and weak dune activity. This study establishes six distinct dry and cold intervals during the last glacial period(66.7-14.5 ka) based on optically stimulated luminescence data, multi-proxies record(magnetic susceptibility, grain size analysis, Rb/Sr, SiO2/TiO2) and chemical index of alteration(CIA). The last glacial period may be correlated with Heinrich events 1 to 6 which were further confirmed by comparison with the Hulu cave stalagmites and Greenland ice core records. It is concluded that the study area was substantially affected by the EASM, as compared with the loess-desert transition zone of the Chinese Loess Plateau, especially in MIS3 c and suggested that the East Asian monsoon played a pivotal role in the last glacial period climate and dune activity.

A kinetic study of two ruthenium carbene catalysts, （PCy3）2Cl2Ru=CHPh 1 （Grubbs catalyst） and a new catalyst [1,3-bis（2,6-dimethylphenyl）4,5-dihydroimidazol-2-ylidene]（PPh3）（Cl）2Ru-CHPh 3, were conducted in metathesis of 1-hexene. The kinetic behavior of these catalysts at 40, 50, 60 and 70℃ was compared. Complex 3 has the more active catalytic effect at temperatures 40-70℃.

Systemic sclerosis (SSc) is a highly heterogeneous autoimmune disease with a high mortality ***,the cellular and molecular mechanisms of SSc remain ***,we identified the key hub genes and microRNAs (miRNAs) that modulate the occurrence and development of *** downloaded the microarray dataset GSE95065 from the Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) database and then analyzed the data by using *** Database for Annotation,Visualization and Integrated Discovery (DAVID) was used for functional pathway enrichment analyses of differentially expressed genes (DEGs),and Cytoscape software was used to generate the protein-protein interaction (PPI) *** addition,OmicsNet was used to predict the miRNAs for the hub genes of *** a result,783 DEGs were identified,of which 770 genes (142 up-regulated genes and 628 down-regulated genes) were matched to the genes in SSc skin *** Ontology (GO) analyses by DAVID indicated that the up-regulated genes were mainly involved in immune response,and the down-regulated genes were greatly enriched in glycinergic synaptic *** the PPI network,22 nodes were selected as key genes,including several members of the chemokine ***,after uploading these key genes to the OmicsNet tool,we found that hsa-miR-26b-5p might target CXCL9 and ***,we demonstrated that the hsa-miR-26b-5p inhibitor might inhibit fibrosis in TGF-β-activated fibroblasts,which would be a promising target for SSc therapy.

AIM: To identify the disease-causing mutation in a fourgeneration Chinese family diagnosed with Nance-Horan syndrome(NHS). METHODS: A Chinese family, including four affected patients and four healthy siblings, was recruited. All family members received ophthalmic examinations with medical histories provided. Targeted next-generation sequencing approach was conducted on the two affected males to screen for their disease-causing mutations. RESULTS: Two male family members diagnosed with NHS manifested bilateral congenital cataracts microcornea, strabismus and subtle facial and dental abnormalities, while female carriers presented posterior Y-sutural cataracts. A novel frameshift mutation(c.3916_3919 del) in the NHS gene was identified. This deletion was predicted to alter the reading frame and generate a premature termination codon after a new reading frame. CONCLUSION: The study discovers a new frameshift mutation in a Chinese family with NHS. The findings broaden the spectrum of NHS mutations that can cause NHS in Chinese patients.
