Stimulation impact of electric currents on heterotrophic denitrifying microbial viability and denitrification performance in high concentration nitrate-contaminated wastewater

Electric current stimulation has been shown to have a positive influence on heterotrophic denitrifying microbial viability and has the potential to improve wastewater denitrification performance. This study investigated the effects of varying current densities on microbial activity and NO_3^- removal efficiency under heterotrophic ***_3^-removal rate was highest at an applied current density of 400 mA/m^2. However, the optimum removal efficiency of total inorganic nitrogen(TIN; 99%) was achieved when the current density was fixed at 200 m A/m^2. Accumulation of NH_4^+-N and NO_2^--N byproducts were also minimized at this current density. The activity of heterotrophic denitrifying microorganisms was much higher at both 200 and 400 mA/m^2. Moreover, the average adenosine-5′-triphosphate(ATP)content(an indicator of cell metabolism) at a current density of 1600 mA/m^2 was lower than that under no current, indicating heterotrophic denitrifying microbial activity can be inhibited at high current densities. Hence, direct electrical stimulation on the activity of heterotrophic denitrifying microorganisms in the developed system should be lower than 1600 mA/m^2. This study improves the understanding of electric current influence on heterotrophic denitrifying microorganisms and promotes the intelligent application of direct electrical stimulation on wastewater treatment processes.

The traditional technology for internal quality detection of citrus fruit is believed to be destructive,inefficient,and *** address these issues,a novel method has been developed to evaluate nondestructively the sugar-acid ratio(SAR)of soluble solids by using the oil glands density(OGD).In this study,a total of 584 samples with different widths were *** sample data were correlated that the SAR and OGD decreased with time during *** relevance with time was significant between SAR and OGD of citrus positively correlated in the calibration group(R2=0.82),which indicated that OGD could be used to predict the internal quality of *** indicated that a new generation of digital microscopy could provide an alternative to predict nondestructively the internal quality of citrus fruit,as well as some theoretical insight for further studies of online quality detection in the future.

Extrapontine myelinolysis and pure word deafness are very uncommon ***,we report a case of a 19-year-old woman who suffered from osmotic demyelination syndrome with coincidence of typical pure word *** a consequence of rapid correction of hyponatremia,the patient demonstrated an initial onset of cortical deafness,and then progressed to generalized auditory agnosia,which eventually developed into confined verbal auditory agnosia(pure word deafness) .Bilateral extrapontine myelinolysis was confirmed using brain magnetic resonance *** case suggests that verbal and nonverbal stimuli may involve separate thalamocortical pathways.

Objective:To explore the effects of different MⅡstage oocytes zona pellucida birefringence on pregnancy ***:A total of 46 couples with infertile which induced by single cause received in-vitro fertilization treatment were analyzed retrospectively,and randomly divided into the high zona birefringence(HZB)/HZB ***/low zona birefringeuce(LZB) group and LZB/LZB group according to different oocytes zona pellucida *** sperm injection outcome was analyzed and ***:The proportion of HZB oocytes, implantation rate and the pregnancy rate were decreased in three groups(HZB/HZB group>HZB/ LZB group>LZB/LZB group)(P0.05).Logistic regression analysis showed that factors allecl MⅡstage oocytes zona pellucida birefringence were *** FSH level and the LH level on the day of HCG *** and KSH levels were negatively correlated with the single oocyte zona pellucida birefringence:While the LH level on the day of hCC injection was positively correlated with the single oocylc zona pellucida ***:The primary influence factors on MⅡstage oocytes zona pellucida are *** FSH level and the LH level on the day of hCG *** birefringence value of zona pellucida can affect the pregnancy outcome.

Quasi solid-state succinonitrile(SN)-based polymer electrolytes have emerged for lithium-metal batteries due to their excellent ionconductivity at room temperature,wide electrochemical stability window(ESW,usually>5 V).However,the practical application of these solid SN-based polymer electrolytes is hampered by the flammability and the inherent instability of SN to Li-metal *** this work,solid SN-based polymer electrolytes were prepared with succinonitrile,ethoxylated trimethylolpropane triacrylate(ETPTA),triethyl phosphate(TEP)and fluoroethylene carbonate for Li-metal battery via in situ polymerization *** SN-based polymer electrolytes with 5 wt%triethyl phosphate and FEC showed good nonflammability,superior ion-conductivity as high as 1.01×10^(-3)S/cm,and wide ESW of 5.41 *** SN-based polymer electrolyte also exhibited excellent interfacial compatibility to lithium metal *** it also delivered a high specific capacity of 156m Ah/g at 0.2 C at ambient temperature,and presented stable cycling at 1.0 C with a specific capacity retention of 98.4%after 1000 *** work provides an alternative and simple strategy to realize the practical application of the solid-state SN-based polymer electrolyte.
