The concentration of PM_(2.5)has considerably reduced in recent years,but remains relatively high in *** particular,the increasing contribution of organic compounds to PM_(2.5)generates popular pressure for further reductions,resulting in an urgent need to study organic aerosol(OA).To investigate the molecular composition and source contribution of OA in the rural area of the Guanzhong Plain,Northwest China,PM_(2.5)samples were collected during 3–23 August 2016 and 5–20 January 2017 and studied for more than 100 organic tracer *** mean concentration of total measured organic compounds is 662±296 ng/m^(3)in summer and 3258±1925 ng/m^(3)in *** is the most abundant single compound found throughout the sampling period,which is a crucial tracer for biomass burning emissions,preliminary suggesting that biomass burning is an essential source of *** summer,organic compounds such as lipid compounds,sugar compounds,and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons(PAHs),more come from higher plants,wood burning,vehicle exhausts,plastic waste,and other direct emission *** PAHs(OPAHs),nitrophenols,and phthalic acids more come from the atmosphere through the oxidation reaction of aromatic precursors,especially photochemical ***,in winter,most of the increases in concentrations of organic compounds are attributed to biomass *** analysis of a haze event(14–19 January 2017)during the winter sampling period shows that the increases in the concentration of organic compounds are unaccompanied by strong secondary formation under lower relative humidity(49.1%±13.5%).The main reason for the growth of OA in this haze event is the accumulation of primary OA(POA).The source apportionment by the positive matrix factorization(PMF)model shows that biomass burning(37.1%)is the primary source of OA in the rural regions of the Guanzhong Plain,especially in winter(40.6%).The contribution of secondary formation decreases from 26.0%in summer t

Exploiting Effective Facial Patches for Robust Gender Recognition

Gender classification is an important task in automated face analysis. Most existing approaches for gender classification use only raw/aligned face images after face detection as input. These methods exhibit fair classification ability under constrained conditions, in which face images are acquired under similar illumination with similar poses. The performances of these methods may deteriorate when face images show drastic variances in poses and occlusion as routinely encountered in real-world data. The reduction in the performances of current gender classification methods may be attributed to the sensitiveness of features to image translations. This work proposes to alleviate this sensitivity by introducing a majority voting procedure that involves multiple face ***, this work utilizes a deep learning method based on multiple large patches. Several Convolutional Neural Networks(CNN) are trained on individual, predefined patches that reflect various image resolutions and partial cropping. The decisions of each CNN are aggregated through majority voting to obtain the final gender classification accurately. Extensive experiments are conducted on four gender classification databases, including Labeled Face in-the-Wild(LFW), CelebA, ColorFeret, and All-Age Faces database, a novel database collected by our group. Each individual patch is evaluated, and complementary patches are selected for voting. We show that the classification accuracy of our method is comparable with that of state-of-the-art systems. This characteristic validates the effectiveness of our proposed method.

为了建立一种测定塞来昔布原料药及其制剂中塞来昔布磺酸甲酯和塞来昔布磺酸乙酯残留量的气相色谱-质谱(gas chromatography-mass spectrometry,GC-MS)分析方法,采用碘化钠衍生-顶空进样,将两杂质衍生成碘甲烷和碘乙烷,DB624毛细管色谱柱(60 m×0.25 mm,1.4μm)分离,氦气为载气,质谱检测器检测。塞来昔布磺酸甲酯和塞来昔布磺酸乙酯均在10~500 ng·mL^(-1)浓度范围内线性关系良好;回收率在80.87%~106.52%,RSD小于10%;定量限均为10 ng·mL^(-1)。所有塞来昔布样品中均未检测出塞来昔布磺酸甲酯和塞来昔布磺酸乙酯杂质。该方法简便准确,可用于塞来昔布中塞来昔布磺酸甲酯和塞来昔布磺酸乙酯2个磺酸酯类基因毒性杂质的检测。

OBJECTIVE: To explore the multi-component synergistic mechanism of Zuogui Wan(左归丸, ZGW) in treating postmenopausal osteoporosis(PMOP). METHODS: The main components and target genes of ZGW were screened via the Traditional Chinese Medicine Systems Pharmacology(TCMSP). In addition, the target gene sets of PMOP were derived from the Gene Cards and Online Mendelian Inheritance in Man databases. The search tool for recurring instances of neighbouring genes(STRING) 11.0 software was used to analyze the interaction among intersecting genes. Cytoscape 3.6.1 software and the Matthews correlation coefficient(MCC) algorithm were used to screen the core genes. Fifty Sprague-Dawley female rats were randomly divided into the sham-operated(Sham) group and the four ovariectomized(OVX) subgroups. Rats subjected to Sham or OVX were administered with the vehicle(OVX, 1 m L water/100 g weight), 17β-estradiol(E2, 50 μg·kg-1·d-1), and lyophilized powder of ZGW at a low dose of 2.3(ZGW-L) and high dose of 4.6(ZGW-H) g·kg-1·d-1 for three months. The bone density and bone strength were assessed using dual-energy X-ray and three-point bending tests, respectively. Furthermore, enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay, Hematoxylin-eosin staining, and western blot analysis were used to determine the potential pharmacological mechanisms of action of ZGW in PMOP. RESULTS: A total of 117 active compounds of ZGW were screened from the TCMSP. Furthermore, 108 intersecting genes of drugs and diseases were identified. Using STRING software and the MCC algorithm, ten core genes, including C-X-C chemokine living 8(CXCL8), C-C chemokine receptor type 2(CCR2), alpha-2a active receptor(ADRA2A), melatonin receptor type 1B(MTNR1B), and amyloid-beta A4 protein(APP), were identified. The anti-osteoporosis regulation network of ZGW was constructed using the Cytoscape software. The animal experiments demonstrated that ZGW groups significantly reduced the serum levels of β-C-terminal telopeptide of type I collagen(β-CTX
