研究目的:通过比较沉积物运移的不同标准,经选优得出更高精度的标准。创新要点:使用更少的参数和分情况来获得高精度的设计标准。研究方法:1.按状态将下水道中沉积物分成两类:没有沉淀的沉积物和沉淀的推移质;2.利用已有设计标准的方程,运用非线性回归和MINITAB软件,得到不同情况下的最佳方程式;3.用实验所得的值对各方程预测值进行验证,比较各方程式的预测精度。重要结论:1.本文提出的方程式可以预测不同情况下的沉积物运移;2.相比于其它标准,本文提出的方程式形式简单、所需参数少和参数估计简单,并且预测精度更高。

We report the development of a metastasis-on-a-chip platform to model and track hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)-bone metastasis and to analyze the inhibitory effect of an herb-based compound,thymoquinone(TQ),in hindering the migration of liver cancer cells into the bone *** bioreactor consisted of two chambers,one accommodating encapsulated HepG2 cells and one bone-mimetic niche containing hydroxyapatite(HAp).Above these chambers,amicroporous membrane was placed to resemble the vascular barrier,where medium was circulated over the *** was observed that the liver cancer cells proliferated inside the tumor microtissue and disseminated from the HCC chamber to the circulatory flow and eventually entered the bone *** number of metastatic HepG2 cells to the bone compartment was remarkably higher in the presence of HAp in the *** was then used as ametastasis-controlling agent in both free form and encapsulated nanoparticles,to analyze its suppressing effect on HCC *** indicated that the nanoparticle-encapsulated TQ provided a longer period of inhibitory *** summary,HCC-bone metastasis-on-a-chip platform was demonstrated to model certain key aspects of the cancer metastasis process,hence corroborating the potential of enabling investigations on metastasis-associated biology as well as improved anti-metastatic drug screening.

Value of α-fetoprotein,β-HCG, inhibin A, and UE3 at second trimester for earlyscreening of preeclampsia

Objective: To study the value ofα-fetoprotein (α-FP),β-human chorionic gonadotropin (β-HCG), inhibin A, and uncojugated estriol (UE3) at the second trimester for early screening of preeclampsia. Methods: This cohort study was performed on 1713 consecutive pregnant women with gestational age from 15 to 18 weeks. We measured the serum levels ofα-FP, β-HCG, inhibin A, and UE3 and they were followed-up for 48 h after delivery. Results: A total of 1713 women were recruited and through the study 151 women (8.8%) were diagnosed with preeclampsia (n=123, 21.5% in the pregnant women with high risk, n=28, 2.5% in the pregnant women with low risk;P<0.0001). The area under receiver operating characteristic curve was estimated to be 2.39 MOM forα-FP, 2.84 MOM forβ-HCG, 1.92 MOM for inhibin A, and 0.77 MOM for UE3. The best cutoff value was specifically considered for each marker that was determined a positive predictive value ranged 19.60% forα-FP, 17.62% for β-HCG, 18.33% for inhibin A and 14.88% for UE3, a negative predictive value ranged 95.63% for α-FP, 93.89% for β-HCG, 94.28% for inhibin A and 93.57% for UE3, and an area under receiver operating characteristic curve ranged 0.70 forα-FP, 0.63 forβ-HCG, 0.65 for inhibin A and 0.61 for UE3. Conclusions: This study reveals that the new cutoff values are more valuable in screening preeclampsia. Although these markers have a low positive predictive value, they present a high negative predictive value. Also, the combination ofα-FP,β-HCG and inhibin A and the combination ofα-FP and inhibin A have the highest value in screening preeclampsia.

Background: Obesity is a major public health problem and its occurrence is markedly increasing in developed and developing countries. However, few studies have investigated the use of natural products to treat obesity. The effects of taking a combination of oxymel and Zataria multiflora Boiss.(ZM), herein referred to as Zataria oxymel(ZO), on obesity, lipid profile and insulin resistance have not yet been ***: This study evaluates the effects of oxymel and ZO on obesity, lipid profile and insulin ***, setting, participants and interventions: In this randomized, controlled, triple-blind trial, overweight patients were randomly divided into three groups and received doses of study compounds twice per day for twelve weeks. Group A received 0.75 g ZM in 10 mL oxymel in each treatment;group B received 1.5 g ZM in 10 m L of oxymel in each treatment and group C(control) only received 10 mL of oxymel in each *** outcome measures: Anthropometric parameters, including body mass index(BMI), waist circumference and hip circumference, were measured at the time of registration. Blood tests were carried out at the beginning and once again at end of the study. Blood parameters included fasting blood sugar(FBS), insulin levels, serum lipid profile(total cholesterol, triglyceride, low-density lipoprotein cholesterol and highdensity lipoprotein cholesterol) and liver enzymes(aspartate transaminase and alanine transaminase).Serum creatinine was also measured at the beginning of the project and in monthly intervals for three months. The homeostasis model assessment index was calculated as fasting insulin(μIU/mL)×FBS(mg/dL)/***: The results showed that patients receiving ZO experienced significant reduction in waist circumference in groups A, B and C, respectively(P < 0.001) but no significant change in BMI. We used broadband dielectric spectroscopy in the frequency range from 10–2 Hz up to 107 Hz and we found dynamics of the primary α- and intermolecular Johari-Goldstein (JG) β-processes are strongly correlated in diglycidyl ether of bisphenol-A over a wide temperature from 193 to 283K and pressure P range from 0.1 to 600 MPa. Analysing the temperature and pressure behavior of the α - and (JG) β-processes, a clear correlation has been found between the structural relaxation time, the Johari-Goldstein relaxation time and the dispersion of the structural relaxation. These results support the idea that the Johari-Goldstein relaxation acts as a precursor of the structural relaxation and therefore of the glass transition phenomenon.

Gelatin based adhesives have been used in the last decades in different biomedical applications due to the excellent biocompatibility,easy processability,transparency,non-toxicity,and reasonable mechanical properties to mimic the extracellular matrix(ECM).Gelatin adhesives can be easily tuned to gain different viscoelastic and mechanical properties that facilitate its ocular *** herein grafted glycidyl methacrylate on the gelatin backbone with a simple chemical modification of the precursor,utilizing epoxide ring-opening reactions and visible *** chemical modification allows the obtaining of an elastic protein-based hydrogel(GELGYM)with excellent biomimetic properties,approaching those of the native *** can be modulated to be stretched up to 4 times its initial length and withstand high tensile stresses up to 1.95 MPa with compressive strains as high as 80%compared to Gelatin-methacryloyl(GeIMA),the most studied derivative of gelatin used as a *** is also highly biocompatible and supports cellular adhesion,proliferation,and migration in both 2 and 3-dimensional *** characteristics along with its super adhesion to biological tissues such as cornea,aorta,heart,muscle,kidney,liver,and spleen suggest widespread applications of this hydrogel in many biomedical areas such as transplantation,tissue adhesive,wound dressing,bioprinting,and drug and cell delivery.
