In the midst of the rapid advancement of photocatalysis,direct Z-scheme heterojunction photocatalysts have emerged as a powerful solution to address environmental challenges and the looming energy *** precise engineering of direct Z-scheme heterojunction photocatalysts proves highly beneficial in optimizing their elec-tronic structure,ultimately enhancing their photocatalytic ***,graphitic carbon nitride(g-C_(3)N_(4))has recently gained recognition as a leading candidate for the creation of direct Z-scheme heterojunctions,owing to its favorable attributes such as a moderate band-gap(2.7 eV),high reduction potential and abundant active *** this review,we offer a concise overview of the fundamental principles and recent advancements in g-C_(3)N_(4)-based direct Z-scheme photocatalytic ***,we delve into the various practical applica-tions of g-C_(3)N_(4)-based direct Z-scheme photocatalysts,specifically in the realms of energy conversion and envi-ronmental *** applications include the removal of contaminant pollutants through photocatalytic degradation,water splitting(comprising H_(2)-generation,O_(2)-evolution,and overall water splitting),and CO_(2)***,we present comprehensive characterization methods and strategies aimed at further enhancing the photocatalytic activity of g-C_(3)N_(4)-based direct Z-scheme photocatalytic *** conclude,this review offers summarizing insights and a brief discussion on future challenges and prospects pertaining to g-C_(3)N_(4)-based direct Z-scheme *** believe that this review will inspire continued exploration and foster a deeper understanding of the groundbreaking possibilities within photocatalytic *** also provides valuable guidance for the design and construction of innovative direct Z-scheme photocatalysts.

Genetic causal association between gut microbiota and sepsis: Evidence from a two-sample bidirectional Mendelian randomization analysis

Background Sepsis is a severe and potentially life-threatening condition characterized by a dysregulated host response and organ *** causal relationship between intestinal microbiota and sepsis is *** A two-sample Mendelian randomization(MR)study was performed to proxy the causal association between gut microbiota and *** genome-wide association study(GWAS)data of sepsis and gut microbiome were collected from the Integrative Epidemiology Unit(IEU)OpenGWAS,with summary-level data obtained from the UK *** traditional methods were used to estimate the potential causal relationships between gut microbiota and sepsis,including the inverse-variance weighted method,weighted median method,MR-Egger regression,simple mode,and weighted *** MR analysis was performed on the bacteria that were found to be causally associated with sepsis in forward MR ***'s Q statistic was used to quantify the heterogeneity of instrumental *** The inverse-variance weighted estimate suggested that class Lentisphaeria(odds ratio[OR]=0.86,95%confidence interval[CI]:0.78 to 0.94,P=0.0017,q=0.1596)and order Victivallales(OR=0.86,95%CI:0.78 to 0.94,P=0.0017,q=0.1596)have a protective effect on *** genus Eubacterium eligens group(OR=1.34,95%CI:1.11 to 1.63,P=0.0029,q=0.1881)was positively associated with the risk of *** may be a significant risk factor for genus Odoribacter(OR=1.18,95%CI:1.10 to 1.39,P=0.0415,q=0.9849)and Phascolarctobacterium(OR=1.21,95%CI:1.00 to 1.46,P=0.0471,q=0.9849),but this effect was not statistically significant after false discovery rate *** was a suggestive association between sepsis and Faecalibacterium(OR=0.85,95%CI:0.73 to 0.98,P=0.0278)and Ruminococcus 1(OR=0.85,95%CI:0.73 to 1.00,P=0.0439),which were not significant after false discovery rate correction(q>0.2).Conclusions This study found that class Lentisphaeria,order Victivallales,and genus Eubacterium eligens group

The quality and aroma of strong-flavor Baijiu are mainly dependent on Daqu,pit mud(PM),and the interaction of ***,little is known about how their combination patterns affect the microbiome and metabolome of Zaopei,especially the metabolic function of rare ***,an experiment on industrial size was designed to assess the effects of 6 combinations(3 kinds of Daqu×2 kinds of PM)on the composition and assembly of different taxa,as well as the flavor *** results showed that Zaopei's microbiota was composed of a few abundant taxa and enormous rare taxa,and rare bacterial and abundant fungal subcommunities were significantly affected by combination *** assembly processes of abundant/rare taxa and bacterial/fungal communities were distinct,and environmental changes mediated the balance between stochastic and deterministic processes in rare bacteria ***,specific combination patterns improved the flavor quality of Zaopei by enhancing the interspecies interaction,which was closely related to rare taxa,especially rare *** findings highlighted that rare bacteria might be the keystone in involving community interaction and maintaining metabolic function,which provided a scientific foundation for better understanding and regulating the brewing microbiota from the viewpoint of microbial ecology.

This paper investigates the problem of global/semi-global finite-time consensus for integrator-type multi-agent *** hyperbolic tangent function-based protocols are pro-posed to achieve global and semi-global finite-time consensus for both single-integrator and double-integrator multi-agent systems with leaderless undirected and leader-following directed commu-nication *** new protocols not only provide an explicit upper-bound estimate for the settling time,but also have a user-prescribed bounded control *** addition,compared to some existing results based on the saturation function,the pro-posed approach considerably simplifies the protocol design and the stability *** examples and an application demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed protocols.

Mottled dolomite in the lower Cambrian Longwangmiao formation in the Northern Sichuan Basin, South China

At the end of Early Cambrian time, the Sichuan basin（South China） was located in a wide carbonate platform, with hundreds of meters of carbonate deposited. The Longwangmiao Formation carbonate in Sichuan basin is partially to completely dolomitized, displaying a mottled texture in the northern area of the exposure. The mottled dolomitic limestone developed parallel to bedding, with shape irregular boundaries with limestone that has not been dolomitized. The mottled dolomite is composed of powder crystalline and finely crystalline dolomite, while the matrix limestone is composed of micritic calcite. the isotopic composition of mottled dolomite(δ13C = +0.29‰PDB, δ18O =-1.15‰PDB) is similar to that of micrite calcite(δ13C =-0.49‰PDB, δ18O =-1.45‰PDB). Both isotopic values and trace element data indicate that the dolomitized fluid is originated from sea water. Some beds contain gypsum pseudomorphs and mud cracks, indicating a shallow and evaporative environment with local high salinity during deposition. Dolomitization likely took place early, in part as a result of sea water salinity concentration. Trace fossils thalassinoides horizontalis, thalassinoides callianassa and planolites developed in the Longwangmiao Formation, and the sharp edges of mottled dolomite are similar to these trace fossils. The beds are intensely bioturbated. In the burrow network, the sediments and burrow fill were coarse and loose with little clay, and it is interpreted here as being easier to be dolomitized than the surrounding *** dolomitization is thus interpreted to have occurred in the burrow system, and the degree of dolomitization was related to the degree of bioturbation, which is controlled by the trace-making creatures.

Role of outdoor trees on pedestrian wind and thermal conditions around a pre-education building for sustainable energy management

Finding sustainable energy resources is essential to face the increasing energy *** are an important part of ancient architecture but are becoming rare in urban *** can control and tune the pedestrian-level wind velocity and thermal *** this study,a numerical investigation is employed to assess the role of trees planted in the windward direction of the building complex on the thermal and pedestrian wind velocity conditions around/inside a pre-education building located in the center of the *** to the previous studies(which considered only outside buildings),this work considers the effects of trees on microclimate change both inside/outside *** of different parameters including the leaf area density and number of trees,number of rows,far-field velocity magnitude,and thermal condition around the main building are *** results show that the flow velocity in the spacing between the first-row buildings is reduced by 30%-40% when the one-row trees with 2 m height are planted 15 m farther than the ***,two rows of trees are more effective in higher velocities and reduce the maximum velocity by about 50%.The investigation shows that trees also could reduce the temperature by about 1℃around the building.
