Introduction and Significance: Burn injury (BI) is a considerable health issue which is responsible for around 300,000 deaths and affecting about 11 million people every year worldwide. In Saudi Arabia, the prevalence of BIs array from 112 to 518 per 100,000 per year. The appropriate awareness of performing first aid could facilitate to improve the outcomes of burns. Purpose and Objectives: To appraise the community that acknowledges burns, first aid, and associated factors among the community population in Jazan City, Saudi Arabia. The paper aims to identify limitations to encourage additional research and persuade legislators to develop improved burn-injury care recommendations and training programs. Materials and Methods: An observational-based sample survey was conducted among the people who live in Jazan City aging 13 years or more, during April 5 to May 5, 2023. Data collection was done by a validated online self-administrated questionnaire sent randomly to community members in different parts of Jazan City via social media platforms. Collected data were coded and cleaned by an excel program, and finally exported on SPSS 26.0 software. The variables were analyzed using descriptive statistics like frequencies and percentages. Also, the Chi-square test was used to investigate the relation between different variables, with a significance value of P Results: This study included 243 participants (about 62%) among them were mostly male participants (151) having a university degree. The majority of participants 75% did not take any form of BFA training in the past. This study shows that 69.9% of the participants have inadequate awareness, despite 72% having a constructive attitude towards burn first aid. Previous burn-related first aid training was significantly associated with participants’ knowledge of BFA at a p-value less than 0.05. Conclusion: This study indicates a high frequency of Jazan population having inadequate knowledge of burn first aid despite the high prevalence of a favorable attitude. There is a

Partial Maximum Boolean Satisfiability （Partial Max-SAT or PMSAT） is an optimization variant of Boolean satisfiability （SAT） problem, in which a variable assignment is required to satisfy all hard clauses and a maximum number of soft clauses in a Boolean formula. PMSAT is considered as an interesting encoding domain to many reaHife problems for which a solution is acceptable even if some constraints are violated. Amongst the problems that can be formulated as such are planning and scheduling. New insights into the study of PMSAT problem have been gained since the introduction of the Max-SAT evaluations in 2006. Indeed, several PMSAT exact solvers have been developed based mainly on the Davis- Putnam-Logemann-Loveland （DPLL） procedure and Branch and Bound （B^B） algorithms. In this paper, we investigate and analyze a number of exact methods for PMSAT. We propose a taxonomy of the main exact methods within a general framework that integrates their various techniques into a unified perspective. We show its effectiveness by using it to classify PMSAT exact solvers which participated in the 2007~2011 Max-SAT evaluations, emphasizing on the most promising research directions.

AIM To evaluate the accuracy of the elastography score combined to the strain ratio in the diagnosis of solid pancreatic lesions(SPL). METHODS A total of 172 patients with SPL identified by endoscopic ultrasound were enrolled in the study to evaluate the efficacy of elastography and strain ratio in differentiating malignant from benign lesions. The semi quantitative score of elastography was represented by the strain ratio method. Two areas were selected, area(A) representing the region of interest and area(B) representing the normal area. Area(B) was then divided by area(A). Sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value(PPV), negative predictive value(NPV), and accuracy were calculated by comparing diagnoses made by elastography, strain ratio and final diagnoses.RESULTS SPL were shown to be benign in 49 patients and malignant in 123 patients. elastography alone had a sensitivity of 99%, a specificity of 63%, and an accuracy of 88%, a PPV of 87% and an NPV of 96%. The best cut-off level of strain ratio to obtain the maximal area under the curve was 7.8 with a sensitivity of 92%, specificity of 77%, PPV of 91%, NPV of 80% and an accuracy of 88%. Another estimated cut off strain ratio level of 3.8 had a higher sensitivity of 99% and NPV of 96%, but with less specificity, PPV and accuracy 53%, 84% and 86%, respectively. Adding both elastography to strain ratio resulted in a sensitivity of 98%, specificity of 77%, PPV of 91%, NPV of 95% and accuracy of 92% for the diagnosis of SPL. CONCLUSION Combining elastography to strain ratio increases the accuracy of the differentiation of benign from malignant SPL.

Background: Corticosteroid, hyaluronic acid (HA) injections and Anti-inflammatory agents are considered as non-invasive treatments for knee osteoarthritis (OA), Chronic Tendinitis (CT) and Tennis elbow (TE) that are supposed to provide symptomatic relief and to help surgical delay intervention. Platelet rich plasma (PRP) is a biological component shown to be beneficial for different orthopedic dysfunctionalities treatment. The presence of GFs in PRPs such as transforming growth factor-β, insulin-like growth factor 1co-stimulate the mesenchymal stem cells and fibroblasts secretions and promotes the fibrin matrix formation which effectively drive the healing process, induces regenerative response and lead to the damage structure repair in orthopedics trauma. Methods: Three groups of a total of 30 patients presenting OA, CT and TE diagnosis, non-responding to corticosteroid, HA and non-steroid anti-inflammatory treatments were randomized to undergo one intra-articular injections of single high dose of PRP. The efficacy of Intra-articular PRP Injections was evaluated before the injection and one month after. The efficiency assessment score was based on [1] Knee injury and Osteoarthritis Outcome Score, [2] Physical Function Short Form (KOOS-PS) Arabic (KSA) version LK 1.0, [3] HOOS-Physical Function Short form (HOOS-PS), and [4] Macdermid patient-rated Tennis elbow. Results: A significant reduction of pain and a marked improvement in movements was observed in the 3 patient’s groups, PRP-injected patients showed significantly higher values compared with baseline: (p eline), improve functional status and reduce clearly the articular dysfunctions over the time. In our study, single High dose injection of PRP provided an overall superior clinical improvement compared with HA and corticosteroid treatments over the time and the different follow-up checkpoints of the study.

This work presents a compact lowpass-bandpass microstrip diplexer with a novel configuration.It consists of a lowpass filter integrated with a bandpass filter via a simple compact junction.The proposed bandpass filter consists of four rectangular patch cells and some thin strips.The step impedance structures,with a radial cell,are applied to achieve a lowpass frequency response.The lowpass channel of the introduced diplexer has 2.64 GHz cut-off frequency,whereas,the bandpass channel center frequency is 3.73 GHz for WiMAX applications and covers the frequencies3.31 GHz to 4 GHz.In addition to having novel structures,both filters have other advantages in terms of high return loss,low insertion loss and high selectivity.The presented microstrip diplexer has the compact size of 29 mm×13.8 mm×0.762 mm,calculated at 2.64 GHz.The obtained insertion losses are 0.20 dB(for the first channel)and 0.25 dB(for the second channel),which make the proposed diplexer suitable for energy harvesting.The stopband properties of both bandpass and lowpass filters are improved by creating several transmission zeros.The comparison results show that the lowest insertion losses,the minimum gap between channels,good return losses,and good isolation are obtained.

Current estimates indicate that the hepatitis C(HCV)is the leading cause of mortality around the world,with infection rates steadily increasing in Egypt.The dual therapy for this silent epidemic with pegylated-interferon-a2b/ribavirin has markedly improved the success rates in genotype-4 patients.It was reported that apoptosis plays a vital mechanistic role in limiting viral replication.P53,a key regulator of apoptosis,induces CD95 gene expression and subsequently initiates apoptotic cascade to be activated.The current study examined the impact of P53 rs1042522 and CD95 rs1800682 polymorphisms on the treatment response.Three groups of 240 volunteers were enrolled in this study;86 in sustained virological responders group,74 in non-responders group,and 80 in control group.All patients had HCV genotype-4a and were interferon treatment naı¨ve.Quantizations of HCV-RNA by qRT-PCR and histological scores were performed for all patients.In addition,genotyping of HCV-RNA,P53 rs1042522 Arg/Pro and CD95 rs1800682 A/G polymorphisms were investigated in all subjects.It was resulted that P53 Pro/Pro homozygous genotype has high significant increase,while CD95 A/A homozygous genotype has high significant decrease when comparing non-responders with responders.Finally,it was concluded that Pro variant of P53 rs1042522 may be used as a genetic predictor for non-responsiveness,while A/A variant of CD95 rs1800682 may be used as a sensitive biomarker for responsiveness to antiviral therapy of HCV genotype-4a infection.In addition,low prolactin,high total testosterone,and high GH levels may provide promising biomarkers for early prediction of the response when associated with these genetic polymorphisms.

Background: Amphetamines are illicit psychostimulant drugs that can induce psychotic symptoms. Very few studies have been conducted in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (SA) on amphetamine abuse and related psychosis. Recently, the pattern of amphetamine abuse in SA showed a significant trend of increased frequency. Objectives: To investigate the extent of amphetamine abuse in a sample of Saudi patients hospitalized for first episode of acute psychosis. Also, to compare in that sample between amphetamine psychosis and other psychoses regarding demographic data, premorbid personality and symptoms profile. Method: 106 patients with acute psychosis were hospitalized and screening of urine for amphetamine was conducted for all. Patients’ psychiatric evaluation included interviewing, and ICD-10 criteria for personality disorders. 30 healthy subjects were also included for comparison with patients. Results: 34/106 of psychotic patients (32%) were positive for amphetamine in urine (≥ 1000 ng/ml). The frequency of personality disorders was significantly higher (P elusions (29% vs. 17%) and increased pulse or blood pressure (29% vs. 7%) respectively. Objective:To investigate the antioxidant and cytotoxic properties of the most active extracts from Ulva lactuca and Laurencia obtusa against colon and cervical cancer cell lines.Methods:The antioxidant radical scavenging activity of the algal extracts was estimated using the 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl colorimetric assay.Moreover,the cytotoxic potential of these bioactive extracts was studied against HCT-116 and Hela cells by 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazole-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide assay.Wound healing analysis was adopted to evaluate the antimetastatic effects of protein extracts from both algae.Cell cycle analysis was performed by flow cytometry,and apoptotic bodies were detected using 4′,6-diamidino-2-phenylindole fluorescent staining.Amino acids of hydrolyzed protein extract were separated and identified chromatographically by high performance liquid chromatography.Results:The green algae Ulva lactuca had higher lipid content than Laurencia obtusa,whereas the latter had higher protein content with high antioxidant capacity.Protein extracts had significant dose-and time-dependent cytotoxicity and anti-metastatic activity against HCT-116 cells.Protein b extracts of both algae obtained from the chloroform:hexane solvent lipid-free residue caused morphological changes and induced apoptosis of HCT-116 cells.Further analysis revealed that apoptosis induced upon Laurencia obtusa protein b treatment was triggered via the ROS pathway,causing a significant increase in the sub-G_(1) population.Glycine and arginine(5.94 and 5.47μM,respectively)were the most common amino acids in Laurencia obtusa protein b extract.Conclusions:Proteins of Laurencia obtusa and Ulva lactuca could be considered as an adjuvant nutraceutical source of pro-apoptotic and anti-metastatic biomolecules against colon cancer.

Influence of Silver Vapours on the Transport of Nitrogen Plasma Properties

Theoretical investigation of nitrogen-silver arc transport properties and an arc plasma model in stationary state have studied at low temperature i.e. between 3500 K and 13,000 K at atmospheric pressure. Results showed that the presence of small amounts of metal vapours, which have low ionization potential such as silver, modify the plasma characteristics. The solution of elenbaas-Heller gives us some information about the effect of metal vapours emitted from electrode on the characteristics of the arc column. We concluded that a small fraction of metal vapours in the arc column modify the electric field, current and the axial temperature.
