Flooding attack and defence in Ad hoc networks

Mobile ad hoc networks are particularly vulnerable to denial of service （DOS） attacks launched through compromised nodes or intruders. In this paper, we present a new DOS attack and its defense in ad hoc networks. The new DOS attack, called AA hoc Flooding Attack（AHFA）, is that intruder broadcasts mass Route Request packets to exhaust the communication bandwidth and node resource so that the valid communication can not be kept. After analyzed AM hoc Flooding Attack, we develop Flooding Attack Prevention （FAP）, a genetic defense against the AM hoc Flooding Attack. When the intruder broadcasts exceeding packets of Route Request, the immediate neighbors of the intruder record the rate of Route Request. Once the threshold is exceeded, nodes deny any future request packets from the intruder. The results of our implementation show FAP can prevent the AM hoe Flooding attack efficiently.

In this paper, the mixture of dimethyl carbonate, ethyl methyl carbonate and diethyl carbonate was separated by middle-vessel batch distillation with feeding in middle-vessel and process control characteristics were researched. The steady state simulation results in Aspen Plus were exported to Aspen Dynamics. Then control effect of liquid level control with HighSelector, composition control(structure1, structure2) and temperature control(proportional action, proportional integration action) were proposed. Composition control structure 2 and temperature control with PI action were investigated to achieve a good control effect.

Modeling the application of train operation adjustment actions to recover from delays is of great importance to supporting the decision-making of *** this study,the effects of two train operation adjustment actions on train delay recovery were explored using train operation records from scheduled and actual train ***,the modeling data were sorted to extract the possible influencing factors under two typical train operation adjustment actions,namely the compression of the train dwell time at stations and the compression of the train running time in *** regression methods were then employed to determine the importance of the influencing factors corresponding to the train delay recovery time,namely the delay time,the scheduled supplement time,the running interval,the occurrence time,and the place where the delay occurred,under the two train operation adjustment ***,the gradient-boosted regression tree(GBRT)algorithm was applied to construct a delay recovery model to predict the delay recovery effects of the train operation adjustment actions.A comparison of the prediction results of the GBRT model with those of a random forest model confirmed the better performance of the GBRT prediction model.

Hepatitis C virus (HCV), a positive single-stranded RNA virus, is a major cause of liver disease in humans. Herein we report a novel strategy to inhibit the reproduction and translation of HCV using a short RNA, named an Additional RNA, to activate the endonuclease activity of Argonaute 2 (Ago2). In the presence of the Additional RNA, the HCV genome RNA has the requisite 12 nucleotides of base-pairing with microRNA-122. This activates the endonuclease activity of Ago2, resulting in cleavage and release of the HCV genome RNA from Ago2 and microRNA-122. The free HCV genome RNA would be susceptible to intracellular degradation, effectively inhibiting its reproduction and translation. This study presents a new method to inhibit HCV that may hold great potential for HCV treatment in the future.

An ultrasensitive metamaterial sensor based on double-slot vertical split ring resonators(DVSRRs) is designed and numerically calculated in the terahertz frequency. This DVSRR design produces a fundament LC resonance with a quality factor of about 20 when the incidence magnetic field component normal to the DVSRR array. The resonant characteristics and sensing performance of the DVSRR array design are systematically analyzed employing a contrast method among three similar vertical split ring resonator(SRRs) structures. The research results show that the elimination of bianisotropy, induced by the structural symmetry of the DVSRR design, helps to achieve LC resonance of a high quality factor. Lifting the SRRs up from the substrate sharply reduces the dielectric loss introduced by the substrate. All these factors jointly result in superior sensitivity of the DVSRR to the attributes of analytes. The maximum refractive index sensitivity is 788 GHz/RIU or 1.04 × 10~5 nm∕***, the DVSRR sensor maintains its superior sensing performance for fabrication tolerance ranging from -4% to 4% and wide range incidence angles up to 50° under both TE and TM illuminations.

The Cenozoic source-to-sink history of the Qaidam Basin is crucial for understanding of the basin-filling architecture， mountain-building processes and even the dynamics of the Tibetan plateau growth. However， the provenance history of Cenozoic strata in the Qaidam Basin remains ambiguous， especially in the northern Qaidam Basin. This controversy highlights the importance of obtaining the spatial source-to-sink relationships between the Qaidam Basin and its surrounding mountain ranges. In this study， we investigated the detrital zircon U–Pb ages of modern fluvial systems draining the Eastern Kunlun Shan. Their detrital zircon age distributions fall into five age groups: 300-190， 530-360， 1000-560， 2000-1100 and 2650-2000 Ma. The dominant age groups are 530-360 and 300-190 Ma， which represent the successive subduction of the Proto-Tethys and Paleo-Tethys Oceans and the subsequent continental collisions， respectively. Combining these new detrital zircon U–Pb ages with available age datasets， we finally obtained complete detrital zircon age information for modern fluvial systems in the whole Qaidam Basin. The U–Pb age distributions of modern river sands reveal that the zircon age signature of basement rocks in the Eastern Kunlun Shan is significantly different from that in the South Qilian Shan but is similar to that in the Altyn Tagh Shan. Moreover， these zircon age observations were confirmed by the significant difference in the Nd isotopic signature of modern river sands， which reveals a significant difference between the Eastern Kunlun Shan and South Qilian Shan in the formation and evolution process.

A mode-locked thulium-doped fiber laser(TDFL) based on nonlinear polarization rotation(NPR) with different net anomalous dispersion is demonstrated. When the cavity dispersion is-1.425 ps^2, the noise-like(NL) pulse with coherence spike width of 406 fs and pulse energy of 12.342 nJ is generated at a center wavelength of 2003.2 nm with 3 dB spectral bandwidth of 23.20 nm. In the experimental period of 400 min, the 3 dB spectral bandwidth variation, the output power fluctuation, and the central wavelength shift are less than 0.06 nm, 0.04 d B, and0.4 nm, respectively, indicating that the NPR-based TDFL operating in the NL regime holds good long-term stability.
