Silicon-based optical phased array with a reconfigurable aperture for“gaze”scanning of LiDAR

Light detection and ranging(LiDAR)serves as one of the key components in the fields of autonomous driving,surveying mapping,and environment ***,dense points clouds are pursued by LiDAR systems to provide high-definition 3D ***,the LiDAR is typically used to produce abundant yet redundant data for scanning the homogeneous background of scenes,resulting in power waste and excessive processing ***,it is highly desirable for a LiDAR system to“gaze”at the target of interest by dense scanning and rough sparse scans on the uninteresting ***,we propose a LiDAR structure based on an optical phased array(OPA)with reconfigurable apertures to achieve such a gaze scanning *** virtue of the cascaded optical switch integrated on the OPA chip,a 64-,128-,192-,or 256-channel antenna can be selected discretionarily to construct an aperture with variable *** corresponding divergence angles for the far-field beam are 0.32°,0.15°,0.10°,and 0.08°,*** reconfigurable-aperture OPA enables the LiDAR system to perform rough scans via the large beam spots prior to fine scans of the target by using the tiny beam *** this way,the OPA-based LiDAR can perform the“gaze”function and achieve full-range scanning *** scanning time and power consumption can be reduced by 1/4 while precise details of the target are ***,we embed the OPA into a frequency-modulated continuous-wave(FMCW)system to demonstrate the“gaze”function in beam *** results show that the number of precise scanning points can be reduced by 2/3 yet can obtain the reasonable outline of the *** reconfigurable-aperture OPA(RA-OPA)can be a promising candidate for the applications of rapid recognition,like car navigation and robot vision.

Considering individual game behavior and time delay in the multi-channel rumor propagation model

Thin polymer electrolyte with MXene functional layer for uniform Li^(+) deposition in all-solid-state lithium battery

Solid polymer electrolyte(SPE) shows great potential for all-solid-state batteries because of the inherent safety and flexibility;however, the unfavourable Li+deposition and large thickness hamper its development and application. herein, a laminar MXene functional layer-thin SPE layer-cathode integration(MXene-PEO-LFP) is designed and fabricated. The MXene functional layer formed by stacking rigid MXene nanosheets imparts higher compressive strength relative to PEO electrolyte layer. And the abundant negatively-charged groups on MXene functional layer effectively repel anions and attract cations to adjust the charge distribution behavior at electrolyte–anode interface. Furthermore,the functional layer with rich lithiophilic groups and outstanding electronic conductivity results in low Li nucleation overpotential and nucleation energy barrier. In consequence, the cell assembled with MXene-PEO-LFP, where the PEO electrolyte layer is only 12 μm, much thinner than most solid electrolytes, exhibits uniform, dendrite-free Li+deposition and excellent cycling stability. High capacity(142.8 mAh g-1), stable operation of 140 cycles(capacity decay per cycle, 0.065%), and low polarization potential(0.5 C) are obtained in this Li|MXene-PEO-LFP cell,which is superior to most PEO-based electrolytes under identical condition. This integrated design may provide a strategy for the large-scale application of thin polymer electrolytes in all-solid-state battery.

To estimate the associations between habitual intakes of high sugar snacks and plasma circulating gut microbiota–host co-metabolites among young adult Chinese with excessive body fat percentage. Methods Our analysis was based on baseline self-reported food frequency questionnaires and fasting blood samples of sixty-five participants(female: BF% ≥ 30%;male: BF% ≥ 20%;25 males, aged ≥ 18 years) from a randomized controlled trial of conjugated linoleic acid on weight control. Habitual intake frequency of high sugar snacks including candies/chocolate/honey(CCH) and candied fruit(CF) were recorded as 7 levels(from level 1-not eat to level 7-more than 2 times/day). The plasma microbial metabolite was obtained on untargeted metabolomics from Ultra-High Performance Liquid Chromatography-Q Exactive HFX mass spectrometer(UHPLC-QE-MS). Multivariable linear regression model was used to evaluate the associations between habitual intakes of high sugar snacks and plasma microbial metabolites after false discovery rate correction for multiple comparison(n = 136). Pathway analysis in MetaboAnalyst 5.0 based on Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes pathway database was used to find potential associated pathways. Results The habitual intake frequency of CCH and CF ranged from level 3(1 time/week) to level 7(≥ 2 times/day). The plasma microbial metabolites(n = 68) mainly included organic acids and derivatives(n = 37), organoheterocyclic compounds(n = 12), lipids and lipid-like molecules(n = 6). After adjustment of age, gender, BMI, smoking, and alcohol drinking habit, high sugar snacks(either CCH or CF) intake frequency was positively associated with xanthine, D-alanine, pyruvic acid, and sarcosine;negatively associated with dihydrolipoate. Formatted PVDF in lamellar composite solid electrolyte for solidstate lithium metal battery

Solid polymer electrolytes(SPEs)hold great application potential for solid-state lithium metal battery because of the excellent interfacial contact and processibility,but being hampered by the poor room-temperature conductivity(~10^(−7)S·cm^(−1))and low lithium-ion transference number(tLi+).here,a lamellar composite solid electrolyte(Vr-NH_(2)@polyvinylidene fluoride(PVDF)LCSE)withβ-conformation PVDF is fabricated by confining PVDF in the interlayer channel of-NH_(2)modified vermiculite lamellar *** demonstrate that the conformation of PVDF can be manipulated by the nanoconfinement effect and the interaction from channel *** presence of-NH_(2)groups could induce the formation ofβ-conformation PVDF through electrostatic interaction,which serves as continuous and rapid lithium-ion transfer *** a result,a high room-temperature ionic conductivity of 1.77×10^(−4)S·cm^(−1)is achieved,1-2 orders of magnitude higher than most ***,Vr-NH_(2)@PVDF LCSE shows a high tLi+of 0.68 because of the high dielectric constant,~3 times of that of PVDF SPE,and surpassing most of reported *** LiNi_(0.8)Co_(0.1)Mn_(0.1)O_(2)||Li cell assembled by Vr-NH_(2)@PVDF LCSE obtains a discharge specific capacity of 137.1 mAh·g^(−1)after 150 cycles with a capacity retention rate of 93%at 1 C and 25℃.This study may pave a new avenue for high-performance SPEs.

Analyze the Performance of Electroactive Anticorrosion Coating of Medical Magnesium Alloy Using Deep Learning

Electroactive anticorrosion coatings are specialized surface treatments that prevent or minimize corrosion. Thestudy employs strategic thermodynamic equilibriumcalculations to pioneer a novel factor in corrosion protection.A first-time proposal, the total acidity (TA) potential of the hydrogen (pH) concept significantly shapes medicalmagnesium alloys. These coatings are meticulously designed for robust corrosion resistance, blending theoreticalinsights and practical applications to enhance our grasp of corrosion prevention mechanisms and establisha systematic approach to coating design. The groundbreaking significance of this study lies in its innovativeintegration of the TA/pH concept,which encompasses the TA/pH ratio of the chemical environment. This approachsurpasses convention by acknowledging the intricate interplay between the acidity and pH levels within thecoating formulation, thereby optimizing metal-phosphate-based conversion coatings and transforming corrosionmitigation strategies. To authenticate the TA/pH concept, the study comprehensively compares its findings withexisting research, rigorously validating the theoretical framework and reinforcing the correlates among TA/pHvalues and observed corrosion resistance in the coatings. The influence of mutations that occur naturally inthe detergent solution on persistent phosphorus changes is shown by empirical confirmation, which improvescorrosion resistance. This realization advances the field ofmaterials and the field’s knowledge of coated generation,particularly anticorrosion converter layers.

CD39 serves as a crucial biomarker for neoantigen-specific CD8^(+)T cells and is associated with antitumor activity and ***,the relationship between CD39 expression levels and the function of chimeric antigen receptor T(CAR-T)cells remains *** study aimed to investigate the role of CD39 in the functional performance of CAR-T cells against hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)and explore the therapeutic potential of CD39 modulators,such as mitochondrial division inhibitor-1(mdivi-1),or knockdown CD39 through short hairpin *** findings demonstrated that glypican-3-CAR-T cells with moderate CD39 expression exhibited a strong antitumor activity,while high and low levels of CD39 led to an impaired cellular *** modulating the proportion of CD39 intermediate(CD39^(int))-phenotype CAR-T cells such as mdivi-1 and CD39 knockdown enhanced and impaired T cell function,*** combination of mdivi-1 and CD39 knockdown in CAR-T cells yielded the highest proportion of infiltrated CD39^(int)CAR-T cells and demonstrated a robust antitumor activity in *** conclusion,this study revealed the crucial role of CD39 in CAR-T cell function,demonstrated the potential therapeutic efficacy of combining mdivi-1 with CD39 knockdown in HCC,and provided a novel treatment strategy for HCC patients in the field of cellular immunotherapy.

Effect of electron beam irradiation on surface molecule and flashover voltage of epoxy composites

The unsatisfactory insulating properties of solid-gas interfaces seriously restrict the development of high-voltage electrical equipment and threaten their power supply stability. Electron-beam irradiation (EBI) can effectively improve the surface flashover voltage of dielectrics. However, the underlying mechanism of EBI in tailoring the surface trap and improving the flashover voltage remains unclear. In this study, the surface morphologies and chemical compositions of epoxy composites treated with EBI were investigated. In addition, the surface wetting properties, surface charge migration parameters, and surface flashover voltages were experimentally characterised. It was found that EBI aggravated the surface morphology, changed the surface chemical components, and repressed surface charge transportation. As a result, the contact angle was reduced from 103.7 degrees to 78.43 degrees, and the flashover voltage in SF6 was increased from 35.26 to 38.90 kV. DFT calculations showed that the newly generated C-O-H and C=O bonds on the surface molecules after EBI formed charge centres at the molecular electrostatic potential, which enhanced the trapping effect of the surface deep trap. As a result, surface charge migration was repressed, and the surface flashover voltage was improved. This study could promote the further development of EBI on materials modification.
