Pseudorabies(PR),also called Aujeszky's disease,is a highly infectious disease caused by pseudorabies virus(PRV).Without specific host tropism,PRV can infect a wide variety of mammals,including pig,sheep,cattle,etc.,thereby causing severe clinical symptoms and acute death.PRV was firstly reported in China in 1950s,while outbreaks of emerging PRV variants have been documented in partial regions since 2011,leading to significant economic losses in swine industry.Although scientists have been devoting to the design of diagnostic approaches and the development of vaccines during the past years,PR remains a vital infectious disease widely prevalent in Chinese pig industry.Especially,its potential threat to human health has also attracted the worldwide attention.In this review,we will provide a summary of current understanding of PRV in China,mainly focusing on PRV history,the existing diagnosis methods,PRV prevalence in pig population and other susceptible mammals,molecular characteristics,and the available vaccines against its infection.Additionally,promising agents including traditional Chinese herbal medicines and novel inhibitors that may be employed to treat this viral infection,are also discussed.

目的分析危重症患者导管相关性血流感染(CRBSI)病原菌分布、耐药性及危险因素。方法选取2018年6月~2021年6月在本院综合ICU患者作为研究对象,统计患者感染率,分析感染患者的感染部位、病原菌分布及病原菌的耐药率,并采用SPSS22.0软件对感染的危险因素进行单因素及多因素logistic回归分析。结果1200例行中心静脉置管患者中有58例发生CRBSI感染,感染率为4.83%;58例感染患者共检查出37株病原菌,其中以革兰阳性菌为主,共25株占67.37%,革兰阴性菌12株占比32.63%。感染病原菌前三位的分别为金黄色葡萄球菌(10株,占27.03%)、表皮葡萄球菌(10株,占27.03%)和大肠埃希菌(6株,占16.22%)。革兰阳性菌中金黄色葡萄球菌对苯唑西林、红霉素、克林霉素有较高的耐药率,均≥50.00%;表皮葡萄球菌对苯唑西林、磺胺甲恶唑、庆大霉素有高耐药率,均≥30.00%;肠球菌属对苯唑西林、红霉素、环丙沙星有较高的耐药率,均≥60.00%。革兰阴性菌对环丙沙星、左氧氟沙星、美罗培南、亚胺培南等耐药率为0;其中鲍曼不动杆菌对10类抗菌药物耐药,铜绿假单胞菌对12类抗菌药物耐药。单因素分析结果显示,患者置管天数、合并糖尿病、气管切开为影响导管相关血流感染的可疑危险因素(χ^(2)=4.854、19.220、10.250,P<0.05)。经多元logistic回归分析结果显示,患者置管天数≥7 d(OR=0.333,95%CI:0.153~0.724)、合并糖尿病(OR=0.384,95%CI:0.162~0.912)、气管切开(OR=0.340,95%CI:0.156~0.740)是导管相关血流感染的独立危险因素(P<0.05)。结论根据患者相关症状进行有效的干预,完善医院感染监控管理系统,加强医护人员的无菌技术及防护措施,对ICU患者治疗和预防CRBSI都具有重要意义。

The Origin and Preservation of Suspended Barites near the 90°E Ridge in the Northeastern Indian Ocean

Suspended particulate barite crystals were detected in the water columns at four different stations near the 90°E ridge in the Indian Ocean.Four distinct morphological types of marine barites were distinguished:euhedral-subhedral crystals,oval or round crystals,rhombic crystals,and irregular crystals.The barite crystals in the study area are typically fine,with a dominant size of 1–3μm.The vertical distribution of barites is significantly affected by the formation and sedimentation processes.Barites begin to appear at a depth of 30 m and are formed primarily from the surface to the depth of 2000m with a concentration peak at the depth of 200m,where particles are coarser than those in the other layers.The barites begin to settle and dissolve once formed in the water column,resulting in finer barite particles and lower particle concentrations.The formation of barite crystals is related to biological processes associated with the decomposition of barium-rich skeletons in the microenvironment of decaying organic matter that is affected by the primary productivity and dissolved oxygen content in the water column.The dissolving process of barite crystals showed similar variation with the concentration of dissolved barium in ocean water,and the substitution of strontium for barite in crystals promotes the selective dissolution of barite and exerts an important impact on its morphology.It is approximately 33%of barites in the amount and 22%in the concentration to settle to the bottom of the water column compared to that observed in the main barite formation zone.

Uncertainties of ENSO-related Regional Hadley Circulation Anomalies within Eight Reanalysis Datasets

El Nino-Southern Oscillation(ENSO),the leading mode of global interannual variability,usually intensifies the Hadley Circulation(HC),and meanwhile constrains its meridional extension,leading to an equatorward movement of the jet system.Previous studies have investigated the response of HC to ENSO events using different reanalysis datasets and evaluated their capability in capturing the main features of ENSO-associated HC anomalies.However,these studies mainly focused on the global HC,represented by a zonal-mean mass stream function(MSF).Comparatively fewer studies have evaluated HC responses from a regional perspective,partly due to the prerequisite of the Stokes MSF,which prevents us from integrating a regional HC.In this study,we adopt a recently developed technique to construct the three-dimensional structure of HC and evaluate the capability of eight state-of-the-art reanalyses in reproducing the regional HC response to ENSO events.Results show that all eight reanalyses reproduce the spatial structure of HC responses well,with an intensified HC around the central-eastern Pacific but weakened circulations around the Indo-Pacific warm pool and tropical Atlantic.The spatial correlation coefficient of the three-dimensional HC anomalies among the different datasets is always larger than 0.93.However,these datasets may not capture the amplitudes of the HC responses well.This uncertainty is especially large for ENSO-associated equatorially asymmetric HC anomalies,with the maximum amplitude in Climate Forecast System Reanalysis(CFSR)being about 2.7 times the minimum value in the Twentieth Century Reanalysis(20CR).One should be careful when using reanalysis data to evaluate the intensity of ENSO-associated HC anomalies.

A lasting imbalance between fatty acid synthesis and consumption leads to non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD),coupled with hepatitis and insulin resistance.Yet the details of the underlying mechanisms are not fully understood.Here,we unraveled that the expression of the transcription factor Zbtb18 is markedly decreased in the livers of both patients and murine models of NAFLD.Hepatic Zbtb18 knockout promoted NAFLD features like impaired energy expenditure and fatty acid oxidation(FAO),and induced insulin resistance.Conversely,hepatic Zbtb18 overexpression alleviated hepato-steatosis,insulin resistance,and hyperglycemia in mice fed on a high-fat diet(HFD)or in diabetic mice.Notably,in vitro and in vivo mechanistic studies revealed that Zbtb18 transcriptional activation of Farnesoid X receptor(FXR)mediated FAO and Clathrin Heavy Chain(CLTC)protein hinders NLRP3 inflammasome activity.This key mechanism by which hepatocyte’s Zbtb18 expression alleviates NAFLD and consequent liver fibrosis was further verified by FXR’s deletion and forced expression in mice and cultured mouse primary hepatocytes(MPHs).Moreover,CLTC deletion significantly abrogated the hepatic Zbtb18 overexpression-driven inhibition of NLRP3 inflammasome activity in macrophages.Altogether,Zbtb18 transcriptionally activates the FXR-mediated FAO and CLTC expression,which inhibits NLRP3 inflammasome’s activity alleviating inflammatory stress and insulin resistance,representing an attractive remedy for hepatic steatosis and fibrosis.

In correlated oxides,collaborative manipulation on light intensity,wavelength,pulse duration and polarization has yielded many exotic discoveries,such as phase transitions and novel quantum states.In view of potential optoelectronic applications,tailoring long-lived static properties by light-induced effects is highly desirable.So far,the polarization state of light has rarely been reported as a control parameter for this purpose.Here,we report polarization-dependent metal-to-insulator transition(MIT)in phaseseparated manganite thin films,introducing a new degree of freedom to control static MIT.Specifically,we observed giant photoinduced resistance jumps with striking features:(1)a single resistance jump occurs upon a linearly polarized light incident with a chosen polarization angle,and a second resistance jump occurs when the polarization angle changes;(2)the amplitude of the second resistance jump depends sensitively on the actual change of the polarization angles.Linear transmittance measurements reveal that the origin of the above phenomena is closely related to the coexistence of anisotropic micro-domains.Our results represent a first step to utilize light polarization as an active knob to manipulate static phase transitions,pointing towards new pathways for nonvolatile optoelectronic devices and sensors.

Background: Histological healing is closely associated with improved long-term clinical outcomes and lowered relapses in patients with ulcerative colitis (UC). Here, we developed a novel diagnostic criterion for assessing histological healing in UC patients.Methods: We conducted a retrospective cohort study in UC patients, whose treatment was iteratively optimized to achieve mucosal healing at Shanghai Tenth People’s Hospital of Tongji University from January 2017 to May 2022. We identified an inflammatory cell enumeration index (ICEI) for assessing histological healing based on the proportions of eosinophils, CD177+ neutrophils, and CD40L+ T cells in the colonic lamina propria under high power field (HPF), and the outcomes (risks of symptomatic relapses) of achieving histological remissionvs. persistent histological inflammation using Kaplan-Meier curves. Intrareader reliability and inter-reader reliability were evaluated by each reader. The relationships to the changes in the Nancy index and the Geboes score were also assessed for responsiveness. The ICEI was further validated in a new cohort of UC patients from other nine university hospitals.Results: We developed an ICEI for clinical diagnosis of histological healing, i.e., Y = 1.701X1 + 0.758X2 + 1.347X3 - 7.745 (X1, X2, and X3 represent the proportions of CD177+ neutrophils, eosinophils, and CD40L+ T cells, respectively, in the colonic lamina propria under HPF). The receiver operating characteristics curve (ROC) analysis revealed that Y <-0.391 was the cutoff value for the diagnosis of histological healing and that an area under the curve (AUC) was 0.942 (95% confidence interval [CI]: 0.905-0.979) with a sensitivity of 92.5% and a specificity of 83.6% (P <0.001). The intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC) for the intrareader reliability was 0.855 (95% CI: 0.781-0.909), and ICEI had good inter-reader reliability of 0.832 (95% CI: 0.748-0.894). 精确的地层压力预测对钻井设计、页岩甜点预测及水平井井位部署具有重要意义。地震地层压力预测方法通过有效获得研究区内纵、横向压力展布特征实现压力预测,具有前瞻性和全局性,成为钻前地层压力预测的主要手段之一。目前常用的地震地层压力预测方法包括基于正常压实趋势线和基于有效应力原理两类。在吸收已有方法优点的基础上,基于有效应力原理,引入横波速度减少孔隙流体影响,重新推导了岩石有效应力计算公式,建立了由纵波速度、横波速度、密度构成的新的地层压力预测模型。该方法有效提高了地层压力预测精度,实现了页岩地层压力定量预测。新方法在川南LU208井区五峰组—龙马溪组海相页岩气勘探开发中得到有效应用,经过实钻井验证,预测结果与实钻井的吻合程度较高,预测误差小于5%。

目的·评估院内心源性休克和心脏骤停患者使用静脉动脉体外膜肺氧合(veno-arterial extracorporeal membrane oxygenation,VA-ECMO)救治对其病死率的影响。方法·选择2017年9月—2022年3月期间在上海交通大学医学院苏州九龙医院行VA-ECMO救治的19例心源性休克和心脏骤停患者。根据VA-ECMO实施前是否发生心脏骤停,将其分为体外心肺复苏组(extracorporeal cardiopulmonary resuscitation,ECPR)组(n=9)和常规VA-ECMO(VA-ECMO for cardiogenic shock,E-CS)组(n=10)。收集2组患者的一般人口学资料、临床资料、序贯器官衰竭评估(Sequential Organ Failure Assessment,SOFA)评分、术后并发症及预后指标资料。采用单因素、多因素Cox比例风险回归模型评估各协变量与住院病死率之间的关联性。结果·纳入的患者中男性15例(78.9%),平均年龄为46.5(34.5,61.6)岁;术后并发症的发生率依次为:出血47.4%、急性肾损伤36.8%、感染31.6%、肢体缺血15.8%和脑血管意外5.3%;VA-ECMO持续时间为4.0(2.0,6.8)d,ICU监护时间为11.5(5.8,26.2)d;ECMO撤机成功率为63.2%,住院病死率为63.2%。单因素Cox比例风险回归的结果显示,术前发生急性肾损伤、术后感染和肢体缺血与患者的住院病死率相关(均P<0.05)。多因素Cox比例风险回归的结果显示,术前发生急性肾损伤、术后感染和肢体缺血亦是患者住院病死率的独立危险因素(均P<0.05)。结论·对于行VA-ECMO救治的心源性休克和心脏骤停患者,术前发生急性肾损伤、术后感染和肢体缺血与较高的住院病死率独立相关。
