BACKGROUND Common diseases after radical gastrectomy include cholecystitis and pancreatitis,but the sudden onset of acute appendicitis in a short period following radical gastrectomy is very rare,and its clinical symptoms are easily misdiagnosed as duodenal stump *** SUMMARY This is a case report of a 77-year-old woman with lower right abdominal pain 14 d after radical resection of gastric *** pain was not relieved by conservative treatment,and her inflammatory markers were *** tomography showed effusion in the perihepatic and hepatorenal spaces,right paracolic sulcus and pelvis,as well as exudative changes in the right iliac *** puncture revealed a slightly turbid yellow-green *** exploration showed a swollen appendix with surrounding pus moss and no abnormalities of the digestive anastomosis or stump;thus,laparoscopic appendectomy was *** patient recovered well after the *** pathology showed acute purulent *** patient continued adjuvant chemotherapy after surgery,completing three cycles of oxaliplatin plus S-1(SOX regimen).CONCLUSION Acute appendicitis in the short term after radical gastrectomy needs to be differentiated from duodenal stump leakage,and early diagnosis and surgery are the most important means of treatment.

Based on the in-situ self-reduction and chemical stability,graphdiyne(GDY)and graphdiyne oxide(GDYO)are used as trapping agents to investigate the ability for recovering Au^(3+),Ag^+,and Pd^(2+)under different pH values and interfering *** strong acidity at pH=1,these two agents demonstrate high select recovery towards the three precious metal ions,which could be insitu reduced to nanoparticles(NPs).In addition,superparamagnetic Fe_(3)O_(4)NPs are deposited on the surfaces of GDY and *** magnetic responses enable GDYFe_(3)O_(4)to recover precious metals conveniently and efficiently by the aid of an external magnetic *** study also confirms the antibacterial activity of the as-recovered NPs deposited on GDY and GDYO against Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus(1×10^(5)colony-forming unit(CFU)·mL^(-1)),and the antibacterial rates are 100%.This strategy of recovering precious metals and subsequently reusing to combat pathogens will be of great significance for environmental remediation and biomedical applications.

A new algorithm is proposed for restoring disocclusion regions in depth-image-based rendering (DIBR) warped images. Current solutions include layered depth image (LDI), pre-filtering methods, and post-processing methods. The LDI is complicated, and pre-filtering of depth images causes noticeable geometrical distortions in cases of large baseline warping. This paper presents a depth-aided inpainting method which inherits merits from Criminisi’s inpainting algorithm. The proposed method features incorporation of a depth cue into texture estimation. The algorithm efficiently handles depth ambiguity by penalizing larger Lagrange multipliers of filling points closer to the warping position compared with the surrounding existing points. We perform morphological operations on depth images to accelerate the algorithm convergence, and adopt a luma-first strategy to adapt to various color sampling formats. Experiments on test multi-view sequence showed that our method has superiority in depth differentiation and geometrical loyalty in the restoration of warped images. Also, peak signal-to-noise ratio (PSNR) statistics on non-hole regions and whole image comparisons both compare favorably to those obtained by state of the art techniques.

Poly(butylene adipate-co-terephthalate)(PBAT)is a promising biodegradable flexible polymer but suffers from slow crystallization rate,making it less attractive for some applications like the injection-molded products in comparison with low-density polyethylene(LDPE).This work aimed to accelerate the crystallization of PBAT by adding a self-assembly nucleating agent octamethylenedicarboxylic dibenzoylhydrazide(OMBH).PBAT/OMBH composites with various OMBH contents(0 wt%,0.5 wt%,0.7 wt%,1 wt%,2 wt%,3 wt%and 5 wt%)were prepared through *** effect of OMBH on the crystallization behavior,morphologies and mechanical properties of PBAT was *** highest nucleation efficiency value of 59.6%was achieved for PBAT with 0.7 wt%OMBH,much higher than that of 22.7%for PBAT with 0.7 wt%*** force microscopy results showed that OMBH formed fine fibers and induced the formation of transcrystalline layers of *** transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR)combined with two-dimensional correlation spectra suggested that the intermolecular dipole-dipole N—H…O=C interactions but not hydrogen bond between OMBH and PBAT promoted the crystallization of PBAT in the initial period of *** presence of OMBH did not change the crystal form of PBAT but had positive contribution in enhancing its crystallinity and mechanical *** work is essential for preparing PBAT with high crystallization rate,enhancing its potential applications in injection-molded products.
