Atorvastatin, etanercept and the nephrogenic cardiac sympathetic remodeling in chronic renal failure rats

BACKGROUND Chronic renal failure(CRF) patients are predisposed to arrhythmias, while the detailed mechanisms are unclear. We hypothesized the chronic inflammatory state of CRF patients may lead to cardiac sympathetic remodeling, increasing the incidence of ventricular arrhythmia(VA) and sudden cardiac death. And explored the role of atorvastatin and etanercept in this *** A total of 48 rats were randomly divided into sham operation group(Sham group), CRF group, CRF + atorvastatin group(CRF + statin group), and CRF + etanercept group(CRF + rhTNFR-Fcgroup). Sympathetic nerve remodeling was assessed by immunofluorescence of growth-associated protein 43(GAP-43) and tyrosine hydroxylase positive area fraction. Electrophysiological testing was performed to assess the incidence of VA by assessing the ventricular effective refractory period and ventricular fibrillation threshold. The levels of tumor necrosis factor-alpha(TNF-α) and interleukin-1beta were determined by Western blotting and enzyme-linked immunosorbent *** Echocardiogram showed that compared with the Sham group, left ventricular end-systolic diameter and ventricular weight/body weight ratio were significantly higher in the CRF group. Hematoxylin-eosin and Masson staining indicated that myocardial fibers were broken, disordered, and fibrotic in the CRF group. Western blotting, enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay,immunofluorescence and electrophysiological examination suggested that compared with the Sham group, GAP-43 and TNF-α proteins were significantly upregulated, GAP-43 and tyrosine hydroxylase positive nerve fiber area was increased, and ventricular fibrillation threshold was significantly decreased in the CRF group. Objective Contrast-enhanced ultrasound(CEUS)is advantageous for evaluating microcirculation,and has been applied to assess arthritis in previous ***,CEUS examinations have not been studied for hemophilia *** arthritis is different from other arthritis,because it is induced by spontaneous joint ***,CEUS may have special value in evaluating hemophilia *** present study assessed the value of CEUS in evaluating synovial hypertrophy and predicting recurrent joint bleeding in severe hemophilia A *** From August 2016 to January 2017,81 severe hemophilia A patients,who were referred to our hospital for ultrasound joint assessment with conventional ultrasound,were *** these 81 patients,46 patients consented for CEUS examinations on the same *** Compared to color Doppler flow imaging(CDFI),four more joints presented with a blood flow signal under CEUS *** addition,the synovial hypertrophy measured by CEUS was thicker than that measured by conventional *** ultrasound scores(including the total grey-scale ultrasound score,joint effusion/hemarthrosis,synovial hypertrophy,CDFI semi-quantitative score,and CEUS semi-quantitative score)were significantly higher in the joint bleeding group than in the no joint bleeding group(P<0.05).Furthermore,these ultrasound scores were positively correlated with the joint bleeding frequency,and had the highest correlation with the CEUS score(r=0.620,P<0.05).Conclusion CEUS can more accurately assess the degree of synovial hypertrophy and vascularization,and diagnose synovitis,when compared to conventional *** addition,CEUS appears to be essential for evaluating the possibility of recurrent joint bleeding,and providing more reliable evidence for individualized treatment.

Application of surfactant for improving leaching process of weathered crust elution-deposited rare earth ores

Weathered crust elution-deposited rare earth ores(WREOs)in China are the main source of medium and heavy rare earths in the *** order to improve the seepage and the mass transfer of traditional ammonium salt leaching process of WREOs,surfactants were added in the ammonium sulfate leaching solution and the ammonium chloride leaching *** leaching kinetics,the mass transfer process,and the adhesion work reduction factor calculated from the interfacial properties were studied to reveal the strengthening mechanism of *** the presence of the tested five surfactants,cetyl trimethyl ammonium bromide(CTAB),dodecyl trimethyl ammonium bromide(DTAB),sodium dodecyl sulfate(SDS),sodium oleate and oleic acid,the permeability of WREOs is improved,the rare earth(RE)leaching efficiency increase and the impurity aluminum(Al)leaching efficiency decrease,indicating its promotional effect on the leaching process of ***,CTAB shows a better leaching enhancement,and the optimal addition dosage is 0.4 g/L for the two ammonium salt leaching agent *** kinetics analysis shows the internal diffusion controls model of RE and Al leaching process,and the leaching kinetics equations of RE and Al related to CTAB concentration were obtained for the two ammonium salt leaching *** to the chromatographic plate theory,the mass transfer efficiency of RE increases with the CTAB concentration increasing until 0.4 g/L,which confirms that the optimal CTAB addition is 0.4 g/*** adhesion work and adhesion work reduction factor indicate more favorable permeation as well as the leaching process.

Objective:To evaluate the efficacy and safety of Huashi Baidu Granules(HSBD)in treating patients with severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)Omicron ***:A single-center retrospective cohort study was conducted during COVID-19 Omicron epidemic in the Mobile Cabin Hospital of Shanghai New International Expo Center from April 1st to May 23rd,*** COVID-19 patients with asymptomatic or mild infection were assigned to the treatment group(HSBD users)and the control group(non-HSBD users).After propensity score matching in a 1:1 ratio,496 HSBD users of treatment group were matched by propensity score to 496 non-HSBD *** in the treatment group were administrated HSBD(5 g/bag)orally for 1 bag twice a day for 7 consecutive *** in the control group received standard care and routine *** primary outcomes were the negative conversion time of nucleic acid and negative conversion rate at day *** outcomes included the hospitalized days,the time of the first nucleic acid negative conversion,and new-onset symptoms in asymptomatic *** events(AEs)that occurred during the study were *** subgroup analysis was conducted in vaccinated(378 HSBD users and 390 non-HSBD users)and unvaccinated patients(118 HSBD users and 106 non-HSBD users).Results:The median negative conversion time of nucleic acid in the treatment group was significantly shortened than the control group[3 days(IQR:2-5 days)vs.5 days(IQR:4-6 days);P<0.01].The negative conversion rate of nucleic acid in the treatment group were significantly higher than those in the control group at day 7(91.73%vs.86.90%,P=0.014).Compared with the control group,the hospitalized days in the treatment group were significantly reduced[10 days(IQR:8-11 days)vs.11 days(IQR:10.25-12 days);P<0.01].The time of the first nucleic acid negative conversion had significant differences between the treatment and control groups[3 days(IQR:2-4 days)vs.5 days(IQR:

Characteristics and geological significance of the stress state of the lithosphere in the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau and its neighboring areas
