Concentration-dependent effects of reductive pulmonary inhalants on ultrafine particle-induced oxidative stress:Insights for health risk assessment

The impact of reductive pulmonary inhalants on ultrafine particles(UFPs)-induced pulmonary oxidative stress remains a crucial consideration,yet the concentration-dependent effects of these inhalants have remained *** we synthesized composite UFPs simulating atmospheric UFPs,primarily composed of metals and *** subjected these UFPs to varying concentrations(0e7000 mM)of two reductive pulmonary inhalants,N-acetylcysteine and salbutamol,to assess their influence on oxidative potential,measured through the dithiothreitol assay(OP^(DTT)).Simultaneously,we analysed the soluble metal content of UFPs to uncover potential relationships between oxidative potential and metal *** results unveil a dual role played by these inhalants in shaping the OPDTT of composite ***,OP^(DTT) generally increased as inhalant concentrations rose from 0 to 300 ***,an intriguing reversal occurred when concentrations exceeded 500 mM,resulting in a decline in *** to untreated UFPs,these inhalants induced promotion and inhibition effects within concentration ranges of 100e500 and>1000 mM,*** no significant correlation emerged between OP^(DTT) and soluble metal content as inhalant concentrations ranged from 0 to 7000 mM,noteworthy positive correlations emerged at lower inhalant concentrations(e.g.,N-acetylcysteine at 0 e300 mM).These findings provide insights into the potential influence of reductive pulmonary inhalants on health risks associated with UFP exposure,further underscoring the need for continued research in this critical area.

Users’interests are often diverse and multi-grained,with their underlying intents even more *** captur-ing users’interests and uncovering the relationships between diverse interests are key to news ***,diversity is an important metric for evaluating news recommendation algorithms,as users tend to reject excessive homogeneous information in their recommendation ***,recommendation models themselves lack diversity awareness,making it challenging to achieve a good balance between the accuracy and diversity of news *** this paper,we propose a news recommendation algorithm that achieves good performance in both accuracy and *** most existing works that solely optimize accuracy or employ more features to meet diversity,the proposed algorithm leverages the diversity-aware capability of the ***,we introduce an augmented user model to fully capture user intent and the behavioral guidance they might undergo as a ***,we focus on the relationship between the original clicked news and the augmented clicked ***,we propose an effective adversarial training method for diversity(AT4D),which is a pluggable component that can enhance both the accuracy and diversity of news recommendation *** experiments on real-world datasets confirm the efficacy of the proposed algorithm in improving both the accuracy and diversity of news recommendations.

On a Flexible Loan Repayment Method Depending on Borrower's Asset with an Early Termination Clause

Aiming at the problem that the asset’s fluctuation influences the borrower’s repayment ability,a loan with a new and flexible repayment method is designed,which depends on the asset value of the *** repayment method can reduce the loan default probability,but it causes the uncertainty of the pay off *** the repayment term is related to the regular repayment amount in this method,a boundary for the regular repayment amount is set up in order to avoid too long repayment *** will balance the benefit of borrowers and lenders and improve the applicability of this *** establishing a mathematical model of the residual value of the loan,this model can be transformed into an initial-boundary problem of a partial differential *** analytic solution and the expected time to pay off the loan are ***,numerical analysis are shown.

An unprecedented synthesis of axially chiral biaryls by rearrangement and aromatization of carbocations with central-to-axial conversion of chirality

The central-to-axial chirality conversion represents a fascinating class of chemical processes consisting of the destruction of stereogenic centers and the simultaneous installation of axial chiral elements,which provides efficient methods for the preparation of axially chiral ***,developing catalytic asymmetric approaches for constructing these central chirality precursors and the efficient central-to-axial chirality conversion remains a challenge due to the requirement of aromatization or elimination *** this work,we have developed an unprecedented enantioselective intramolecular FriedelCrafts alkylation with unactivated-ketone carbonyls from which a chiral tertiary alcohol was generated with high efficiency and excellent *** addition,the central-to-axial chirality conversion strategy has been successfully applied to the synthesis of enantioenriched biaryls via a less-explored carbocation-initiated rearrangement and aromatization under the promotion of Lewis *** methodology provided a straightforward and sustainable access to a broad range of biaryl-2-carboxylic acid and in excellent yields(up to 92%)and excellent central-to-axial chirality conversion(up to 99%conversion percentage).This work could be a great model for developing new methods for synthesizing axially chiral biaryls and a general protocol for the rearrangement and aromatization of carbocations for further functionalization.

Aqueous zinc-ion batteries have attracted much attention due to their high theoretical capacity,low cost high safety,and ***,challenges such as dendrite growth and side reactions severely hinder the electrochemical performance of the Zn anode,leading to low Coulombic efficiency(CE)or even short circuits Herein,phenolic resin(PF)is used as a protective coating on the surface of the zinc metal *** PF layer can greatly improve the corrosion resistance of the Zn electrode in the ***,this artificial electrode/electrolyte interphase also elevates the nucleation barrier and restrains Zn^(2+)2D diffusion,regulating the zinc deposition/dissolution *** a result,PF@Zn symmetric cells exhibit superior performance than that of bare Zn symmetric cells,achieving a stable and dendrite-free cycle of 1400 ***,the carbon nanotube MnO_(2)||PF@Zn(CNT/MnO_(2)||PF@Zn)full cell also delivers a long cycle life with a high-capacity retention of about 180.0 m Ah·g^(-1)after 1400 cycles,far exceeding that of bare Zn *** work provides a facile strategy for achieving a dendrite-free and rechargeable zinc anode.

Drosophila X virus-like particles as delivery carriers for improved oral insecticidal efficacy of scorpion Androctonus australis peptide against the invasive fruit fly,Drosophila suzukii

Insect-specific neurotoxic peptides derived from the venoms of scorpions and spiders can cause acute paralysis and death when injected into insects,offering a promising insecticidal component for insect pest ***,effective delivery systems are required to help neurotoxic peptides pass through the gut barrier into the hemolymph,where they can ***,we investigated the potential of a novel nanocarrier,Drosophila X virus-like particle(DXV-VLP),for delivering a neurotoxin from the scorpion Androctonus australis Hector(AaIT)against the invasive pest fruit fly,Drosophila *** results show that the fusion proteins of DXV polyproteins with AalT peptide at their Ctermini could be sufficiently produced in Lepidoptera Hi5 cells in a soluble form using the recombinant baculovirus expression system,and could self-assemble into VLPs with similar particle morphology and size to authentic DXV *** addition,the AalT peptides displayed on DXV-VLPs retained their toxicity,as demonstrated in injection bioassays that resulted in severe mortality(72%)in adults after 72 *** fed to adults,mild mortality was observed in the group treated with DXV-AalT(38%),while no mortality occurred in the group treated with AaIT peptide,thus indicating the significant role of DXV-VLPs in delivering AalT ***,this proof-of-concept study demonstrates for the first time that VLPs can be exploited to enhance oral delivery of insect-specific neurotoxic peptides in the context of pest ***,it provides insights for further improvements and potentially the development of neurotoxin-based bioinsecticides and/or transgenic crops for insect pest control.
