GO/HTPB composite liner for anti-migration of small molecules

Hydroxyl-terminated polybutadiene/toluene diisocyanate(HTPB/TDI)system is widely used in composite solid *** migrations of plasticizers and water molecules from solid propellants and surrounding environment to the inhibitor have always been the important *** study focuses on the preparation,characterization and anti-migration behavior of graphene oxide(GO)/HTPB nanocomposite *** GO/HTPB(GH)composite liners affect the migration of small molecules through a tighter cross-linked structure and weakening function of small molecule *** anti-migration performance of the liner at different temperatures was analyzed,and the influence of the added amount of GO on the anti-migration performance and adhesion performance was also systematically *** overall performance of the liner is optimized when the amount of GO filler is 0.3 wt%.After adding 0.3 wt%GO,the concentration of dioctyl sebacate(DOS)migrated into the liner is decreased by 23.28%,and the concentration of water molecules is decreased by 51.89%,indicating that the introduction of GO can significantly improve the anti-migration performance of the *** addition,the bond strength is greatly increased from 0.25 MPa to 0.95 MPa,which meets the application requirements of the current propellant *** research provides an important way for the preparation of structure-function synergistic anti-migration composite liners.

Bionic tracking method by hand ＆ eye-vergence visual servoing

Animals rotate their eyes to gaze at the target prey, enhancing the ability of measuring the distance to the target precisely for catching it. These animals, visual tracking includes the triangular eye-vergence control and their body＇s motion control by visual servoing. The research aims to realize a bionic robot tracking perfor- mance, in which the body links moves together with eyes＇ view orientation. This paper proposed a hand ＆ eye-ver- gence dual control system which included two feedback loops： an outer loop for conventional visual servoing to direct a manipulator toward a target object and an inner loop for active motion control of binocular cameras to change the viewpoint along with the moving object to give an accurate and broad observation. This research also foused on how to compensate a fictional motion of the target seen by camera images in an eye-in-hand system, where the camera was fixed on the end-effector and moved together with the hand motion. A robust motion-feedfor- ward （MFF） recognition method is proposed to compensate the fictional motion of the target based on the manipula- tor＇s joint velocity, then the real motion of the target seen by camera images is extracted, which can improve the feedback image sensing unit to make the whole servoing system dynamically stable. The effectiveness of the pro- posed hand ＆ eye-vergence visual servoing method is shown by tracking experiments using a 6-DoF robot manipulator and a 3-DoF binocular vision system.

Synthesis and insecticidal evaluation of phytoalexin phenalenones derivatives

Phenalenone is a kind of defensive compound biosynthesized inside plants in response to the outside attack such as fungus and nematodes.A set of derivatives encompassing structural modifications on the privileged phenalenone scaffold were synthesized through introduction of phenyl and hydroxy!substitutes at 9-positon and 2-position and assessed their insecticidal activities against armyworm（Mythimna separata Walker） and cowpea aphids[Aphis craccivora）.No obvious insecticidal activities of the synthesized compounds were observed against *** of the 9-phenyl and 2-hydroxy substituted phenalenone analogues showed potential activities against cowpea aphids with 33%-41%mortality at 500 mg/L.

Fabrication and shape detection of a catheter using fiber Bragg grating

Considering the spatial position and shape detection properties of the fiber Bragg grating(FBG)curve sensor used in the human body,the positioning accuracy of the FBG curve sensor plays a major role in the pre-diagnosis and treatment of *** present a new type of shape-sensing catheter(diameter of 2.0 mm and length of 810 mm)that is integrated with an array of four optical fibers,where each contains five nodes,to track the ***,the distribution of the four orthogonal fiber gratings is wound around a nitinol wire using novel packaging technology,and the spatial curve shape is rebuilt based on the positioning of discrete points in *** experimental platform is built,and then a reconstruction algorithm for coordinate point fitting of the Frenet frame is used to perform the reconstruction experiment on millimeter *** results show that,compared with those in previous studies,in 2D test,the maximum relative error for the end position is reduced to 2.74%,and in 3D reconstruction experiment,the maximum shape error is 3.43%,which verifies both the applicability of the sensor and the feasibility of the proposed *** results reported here will provide an academic foundation and the key technologies required for navigation and positioning of noninvasive and minimally invasive surgical robots,intelligent structural health detection,and search and rescue operations in debris.

Analysis of Translocation of the CagA Protein and Induction of a Scattering Phenotype in AGS Cells Infected with Helicobacter pylori

Objective To investigate whether the presence of structured CagA proteins in Western- and Eastern-type Helicobacter pylori （H. pylori） induces different incidences of gastric diseases. Methods CagA and phosphorylatd CagA were expressed in AGS gastric epithelial cells infected with wild type and mutant strains. The ability of individual CagA was determined by immunoprecipitation and Western blot assay. Morphological changes of these cells were observed under microscope to evaluate the appearance of elongation hummingbird phenotype. Results The sizes of CagA proteins in different strains were different, and no phosphorylated CagA proteins were detected in wild-type strains. Meanwhile, the kinetics of CagA status in AGS infected with H. pylori was detected. The molecular weight of phosphorylated CagA with the same size of CagA proteins in H. pylori was different in infections with different wild-type strains. CagA and phosphorylated CagA increased in a time-dependent manner after the infection. The hummingbird phenotype with H. pylori for time-course was observed under microscope. Instead of HPK5 strain, the wild-type 26695 strain induced hummingbird phenotype in a time-dependent manner. Conclusion Translocation and phosphorylation of CagA are necessary, but not sufficient, for the induction of hummingbird phenotype in AGS cells.

Designer cell-self-implemented labeling of microvesicles in situ with the intracellular-synthesized quantum dots

Cell-derived microvesicles(MVs) are secreted from almost all kinds of mammalian cells into the extracellular space, and play crucial roles in intercellular communication and transporting biomolecules between cells. However, there is a great challenge for visualizing and monitoring of MVs’ bio-behaviors due to the limitations of existing labeling methods. Herein, we report the first paradigm of designer cell-self-implemented labeling of MVs secreted from living mammalian MCF-7 cells in situ using the intracellular-synthesized fluorescent quantum dots(QDs) during the formation of MVs. By elaborately coupling intracellular biochemical reactions and metabolism pathways, the MCF-7 cells can be illuminated brightly by intracellular-biosynthesized fluorescent CdSe QDs. Simultaneously, intracellular-synthesized QDs can be in situ encapsulated by the secreted MVs budding from the plasma membrane of the fluorescing cells to label the MVs with an efficiency of up to 89.9%. The whole labeling process skillfully combines designer precise cell-tuned intricate synthesis of CdSe QDs with mild in-situ labeling via cell-selfimplementation just after feeding the cell with suitable chemicals, which is structure-or function-nondestructive and much more straightforward and milder than those by chemical conjugation or indirect encapsulation with conventional fluorogenic labels.

Olfactomedin-4 in digestive diseases: A mini-review

Olfactomedin-4(OLFM4, GW112, h GC-1) is a glycoprotein belonging to the olfactomedin family. The expression of OLFM4 is strong in the small intestine, colon and prostate, and moderate in the stomach and bone marrow. Previous studies have revealed that OLFM4 is closely associated with many digestive diseases. Up-regulation of OLFM4 has been detected in the Helicobacter pylori(H. pylori)-infected gastric mucosa, inflammatory bowel disease tissue and gastrointestinal malignancies, including gastric cancer, colorectal cancer, pancreatic cancer and gallbladder cancer. Downregulation of OLFM4 has also been detected in some cases, such as in poorly differentiated, advancedstage and metastatic tumors. Studies using OLFM4-deficient mouse models have revealed that OLFM4 acts as a negative regulator of H. pylori-specific immune responses and plays an important role in mucosal defense in inflammatory bowel disease. Patients with OLFM4-positive gastric cancer or colorectal cancer have a better survival rate than OLFM4-negative patients. However, the prognosis is worse in pancreatic cancer patients with high levels of expression of OLFM4. The NF-κB, Notch and Wnt signaling pathways are involved in the regulation of OLFM4 expression in digestive diseases, and its role in pathogenesis is associated with anti-inflammation, apoptosis, cell adhesion and proliferation. OLFM4 may serve as a potential specific diagnostic marker and a therapeutic target in digestive diseases. Further studies are required to explore the clinical value of OLFM4.

Comparative proteome analysis of Helicobacter pylori clinical strains by two-dimensional gel electrophoresis

Objective： To investigate the pathogenic properties of Helicobacterpylori by comparing the proteome map of H. pylori clinical strains. Methods： Two wild-type H. pylori strains, YN8 （isolated from biopsy tissue of a gastric cancer patient） and YN14 （isolated from biopsy tissue of a gastritis and duodenal ulcer patient）, were used. Proteomic analysis, using a pH range of 3-10 and 5-8, was performed. The individual proteins were identified by quadrupole time-of-flight （Q-TOF） mass spectrometer and protein database search. Results： Variation in spot patterns directed towards differential protein expression levels was observed between the strains. The gel revealed prominent proteins with several protein ＂families＂. The comparison of protein expressions of the two strains reveals a high variability. Differentially present or absent spots were observed. Nine differentially expressed protein spots identified by Q-TOF included adenosine triphosphate （ATP）-binding protein, disulfide oxidoreductase B （DsbB）-Iike protein, N utilization substance A （NusA）, ATP-dependent protease binding subunit/heat shock protein, hydantoin utilization protein A, seryl-tRNA synthetase, molybdenum ABC transporter ModD, and hypothetical proteins. Conclusions： This study suggests that H. pylori strains express/repress protein variation, not only in terms of the virulence proteins, but also in terms of physiological proteins, when they infect a human host. The difference of protein expression levels between H. pylori strains isolated from gastric cancer and gastritis may be the initiator of inflammation, and result in the different clinical presentation. In this preliminary study, we report seven differential proteins between strains, with molecule weights from approximately 10 kDa to approximately 40 kDa. Further studies are needed to investigate those proteins and their function associated with H. pylori colonization and adaptation to host environment stress.
