This study focuses on the effects of one-line emergent natural tree（Cupressus Macrocarpa） planted at the edge of the floodplain in a compound open-channel flow. The flow velocity and water level are measured and used to analyze the flow structure. The time averaged and depth-averaged streamwise velocity distributions with root mean square（rms） and time series of streamwise velocity distrbution are analyzed. The velocity distribution considerably changes along the compound channel. The streamwise velocity distribution fits with logarithmic distribution in the non-vegetated case, but for vegetated cases, the streamwise velocity distribution shows S shaped profile at the 1/3 part of floodplain（/3）B_f and main channel（/3）B_m close to the boundary between floodplain and main channel. Additionally, it is obtained that the presence of tree line increases turbulence intensity over the compound open-channel. Moreover, an oscillation period is obtained in the flow caused by tree line by analyzing time series of the streamwise velocity distribution. The oscillation is present everywhere in the floodplain and present at almost/3 B_m part of the main channel which is close to the junction between floodplain and main channel.

As an alternative biodegradable aliphatic polyester,poly(w-pentadecalactone-co-ε-caprolactone)copolymer was synthesized via enzymatic ring-opening polymerization.A new biocatalyst,Candida antarctica lipase B,immobilized onto rice husk ash was used for *** were carried out at various temperatures and periods for varied copolymer compositions in order to obtain the highest molecular weight *** best reaction parameters were found to be 80℃ and 6 hours and molecular weights increased proportionally with the amount of w-pentadecalactone(w-PDL).The molecular structure of copolymer with 75%weight ratio of w-PDL(Mn=19720 g/mol)was characterized by proton and carbon nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopies(^1H-NMR and ^13C-NMR).Thermal properties of the same copolymer and homopolymers were investigated by differential scanning calorimetry(DSC)and thermogravimetric analysis(TGA).Improved thermal features were shown by addition of w-PDL to the structure and compared with poly(ε-caprolactone)(PCL).Consequently,poly(w-pentadecalactone-co-ε-caprolactone)copolymers were found to be good alternatives to widely used polyester,PCL,with their rapid polymerization tendency,higher molecular weights,and improved thermal features.

In this paper, reflection and transmission coefficients of regular waves from/through perforated thin walls are investigated. Small scale laboratory tests have been performed in a wave flume firstly with single perforated thin Plexiglas plates of various porosities. The plate is placed perpendicular to the flume with the height from the flume bottom to the position above water surface. With this thin wall in the flume wave overtopping is prohibited and incident waves are able to transmit. The porosities of the walls are achieved by perforating the plates with circular holes. Model settings with double perforated walls parallel to each other forming so called chamber system, have been also examined. Several parameters have been used for correlating the laboratory tests’ results. Experimental data are also compared with results from the numerical model by applying the multi-domain boundary element method （MDBEM） with linear wave theory. Wave energy dissipation due to the perforations of the thin wall has been represented by a simple yet effective porosity parameter in the model. The numerical model with the MDBEM has been further validated against the previously published data.

Novozyme 435,which is the commercially available immobilized form of Candida antarctica lipase B,has been successfully conducted ring opening polymerization of lactones in organic *** this paper,it was aimed to introduce an alternative biocatalyst for Novozyme *** antarctica lipase B immobilized onto rice husk ashes via physical adsorption(with a specific activity of 4.4 U/mg)was prepared in previous studies and used as a biocatalyst for poly(δ-valerolactone)synthesis in the present *** reactions were proceeded at various reaction temperatures and periods via both two immobilized enzyme *** resulting products were characterized spectroscopically and *** highest molecular weight(Mn=9010 g/mol)was obtained via Novozyme 435 catalysis at 40℃and 24 *** performance of home-made lipase,which resulted in a molecular weight of 8040 g/mol,was close to commercial one.

Magnesium(Mg)stands out in temporary biomaterial applications due to its biocompatibility,biodegradability,and low Young’s ***,controlling its corrosion through next-generation polymer-based functional coatings is crucial due to the rapid degradation behavior of *** this study,the function of 2D lamellar Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x)(MXene)in Hydroxyapatite(HA)and Halloysite nanotube(HNT)hybrid coatings in biodegradable poly-(lactic acid)(PLA)was *** morphological and structural characterizations of the coatings on Mg were revealed through HRTEM,XPS,SEM-EDX,XRD,FTIR,and contact angle analyses/*** in vitro corrosion tests(OCP,PDS,and EIS-Nyquist)were conducted for evaluate corrosion resistance under simulated body fluid(SBF)*** bioactivity of the coatings in SBF have been revealed in accordance with the ISO 23,317 ***,antibacterial disk diffusion tests were conducted to investigate the functional effect of MXene in *** has been determined that the presence of MXene in the coating increased not only surface wettability(131°,85°,77°,and 74°for uncoated,pH,PHH,and PHH/MXene coatings,respectively)but also increased corrosion resistance(1857.850,42.357,1.593,and 0.085×10^(-6),A/cm^(2) for uncoated,pH,PHH,and PHH/MXene coatings,respectively).It has been proven that the in vitro bioactivity of PLA-HA coatings is further enhanced by adding HNT and MXene,along with SEM morphologies after ***,2D lamellar MXene-filled coating exhibits antibacterial behavior against both *** and *** bacteria.

AIM：To report on intraocular pressure（IOP）after intravitreal injections of triamcinolone acetonide.·M ETHODS：Systematic literature review of studies that investigated the effects of an injection of triamcinolone Intravitreal triamcinolone acetonide on IOP was conducted according to the Cochrane Collaboration methodology and the reported effects have been analyzed with Meta-analysis.·RESULTS：We found that the IOP follows an inverted-U shape pattern over time starting with an average value of14.81±1.22 mm Hg before the injection,rising to a maximum of 19.48±2.15 mm Hg after one month of injection and falling down to 16.16±1.92 mm Hg ***,country of study,age,previous history of glaucoma and gender compositions matter for crossstudy were different in reported IOP changes.·CONCLUSION：Our findings may be helpful in determining pressure elevation risk of intravitreal triamcinolone acetonide therapy as well as comparing it with those of more recent therapies such as the antivascular endothelial growth factor agents.

This work focuses on a novel lightweight machine learning approach to the task of plant disease classification,posing as a core component of a larger grow-light smart monitoring *** the extent of our knowledge,this work is the first to implement lightweight convolutional neural network architectures leveraging down-scaled versions of inception blocks,residual connections,and dense residual connections applied without pre-training to the PlantVillage *** novel contributions of this work include the proposal of a smart monitor-ing framework outline;responsible for detection and classification of ailments via the devised lightweight net-works as well as interfacing with LED grow-light fixtures to optimize environmental parameters and lighting control for the growth of plants in a greenhouse *** adaptation of dense residual connections achieved the best balance of minimizing model parameters and maximizing performance metrics with accuracy,precision,recall,and F1-scores of 96.75%,97.62%,97.59%,and 97.58%respectively,while consisting of only 228,479 model *** results are further compared against various full-scale state-of-the-art model architectures trained on the PlantVillage dataset,of which the proposed down-scaled lightweight models were capable of performing equally to,if not better than many large-scale counterparts with drastically less com-putational requirements.

Effectiveness of breathing exercises during the second stage of labor on labor pain and duration： a randomized controlled trial

BACKGROUND： Some research exists on the effect of non-pharmacological approaches for labor pain relief However, there is limited information about effectiveness of breathing exercises in pregnant women to reduce maternal pain during labor. OBJECTIVE： To determine whether breathing exercises for pregnant women during the second stage of labor have beneficial effects on maternal pain, duration of labor, and the first-minute Appearance, Pulse, Grimace, Activity and Respiration （APGAR） scores. DESIGN, SETTING, PARTICIPANTS AND INTERVENTIONS： This randomized clinical trial involved 250 pregnant women, who were randomly divided into two groups： intervention group （IG; n = 125） and control group （CG; n = 125）. IG received one session breathing exercise training and performed breathing exercises during the second stage of labor versus the CG that did not receive any breathing exercise training. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES： The effects of breathing exercises on maternal pain were determined by Visual Analogue Scale （VAS）, duration of the second stage of labor, and the first-minute APGAR scores. RESULTS： The mean age of the participants was （23.2 _＋ 4.2）（range： 18 to 42） years. Both IG and CG had similar baseline characteristics in terms of age, education level, occupation, and smoking （P 〉 0.05）. The mean VAS scores of IG and CG were （88.2 ＋_ 6.3） and （90.5 ＋_ 7.0）, respectively （P 〈 0.001）. The duration of the second stage of labor was （369.6 ＋ 92.0） s for IG and （440.7 ＋ 142.5） s for CG （P 〈 0.001 ）. The mean first-minute APGAR scores were （8.84 ＋ 0.50） for IG and （8.73 ＋ 0.89） for CG （P 〉 0.05）. CONCLUSION： Based on this study, breathing exercises with deep inhalation and exhalation in pregnant women are effective in reducing the perception of labor pain and shortening the duration of the second stage of delivery.
