Zinc-ion hybrid capacitors （ZIHCs） have received increasing attention as energy storage devices owing to their low cost,high safety,and environmental ***,their progress has been hampered by low energy and power density,as well as unsatisfactory long-cycle stability,mainly due to the lack of suitable electrode *** this context,we have developed manganese single atoms implanted in nitrogen-doped porous carbon nanosheets （MnSAs/NCNs） using a metal salt template method as cathodes for *** metal salt serves a dual purpose in the synthesis process:It facilitates the uniform dispersion of Mn atoms within the carbon matrix and acts as an activating agent to create the porous *** applied in ZIHCs,the MnSAs/NCNs electrode demonstrates exceptional performance,including a high capacity of 203 m Ah g-1,an energy density of 138 Wh kg-1at 68 W kg-1,and excellent cycle stability with 91%retention over 10,000 *** calculations indicate that the introduced Mn atoms modulate the local charge distribution of carbon materials,thereby improving the electrochemical *** work demonstrates the significant potential of carbon materials with metal atoms in zinc-ion hybrid capacitors,not only in enhancing electrochemical performance but also in providing new insights and methods for developing high-performance energy storage devices.

The growth of dendrites and the side reactions occurring at the Zn anode pose significant challenges to the commercialization of aqueous Zn-ion batteries（AZIBs）. These challenges arise from the inherent conflict between mass transfer and electrochemical kinetics. In this study, we propose the use of a multifunctional electrolyte additive based on the xylose（Xylo） molecule to address these issues by modulating the solvation structure and electrode/electrolyte interface, thereby stabilizing the Zn anode. The introduction of the additive alters the solvation structure, creating steric hindrance that impedes charge transfer and then reduces electrochemical kinetics. Furthermore, in-situ analyses demonstrate that the reconstructed electrode/electrolyte interface facilitates stable and rapid Zn2+ion migration and suppresses corrosion and hydrogen evolution reactions. As a result, symmetric cells incorporating the Xylo additive exhibit significantly enhanced reversibility during the Zn plating/stripping process, with an impressively long lifespan of up to 1986 h, compared to cells using pure ZnSO4electrolyte. When combined with a polyaniline cathode, the full cells demonstrate improved capacity and long-term cyclic stability. This work offers an effective direction for improving the stability of Zn anode via electrolyte design, as well as highperformance AZIBs.

A new method for determining the fractal dimension by STM at nanomeler scale has been ***- Mandelbrot fractal curves were used to verify the accuracy and reliability. The Computer simulation showed that fractal dimen- sion obtained with this method generally outran the traditional yard method. The new method has been applied to the fractal dimension determination of the fractures of Ti3Al and Ti-24Al-11Nb alloys. The results show that the fractal dimension of Ti-24Al-11Nb alloy is higher than that of Ti3Al, and it varies with the crark extending orientation.

A transient postanaphase repositioning of the centriole is found to control the completion of cytokinesis. Using agreen fluorescent protein-calmodulin fusion protein as a living cell probe, we have previously found that calmodulin isassociated with the initiation and progression of cytokinesis. In this study, we further studied the effect of calmodulinon the repositioning of the centriole and subsequent cell cycle progression. When activity of calmodulin is inhibited, theregression of the centriole from the intercellular bridge to the cell center is blocked, and thus the completion of celldivision is repressed and two daughter cells are linked by longer cell bridge in perturbed cells. W7 treatment duringcytokinesis also results in unfinished cytokinesis and stopped G1 phase. These results suggest that calmodulin activity isrequired for centriole repositioning and can affect the completion of cytokinesis and cell cycle progression.

The secondary Bjerknes force plays a significant role in the evolution of bubble ***,due to the complex dependence of the force on multiple parameters,it is highly non-trivial to include its effects in the simulations of bubble *** this paper,machine learning is used to develop a data-driven model for the secondary Bjerknes force between two insonated bubbles as a function of the equilibrium radii of the bubbles,the distance between the bubbles,the amplitude and the center frequency of the ultrasound *** sign of the force may change with the phase difference between the oscillating ***,the magnitude of the force varies over several orders of magnitude,which poses a serious challenge for the usual machine learning *** overcome this difficulty,the magnitudes and the signs of the force are separated and modelled separately.A nonlinear regression is obtained with a feed-forward network model for the logarithm of the magnitude,whereas the sign is modelled by a support-vector machine *** principle,the practical aspects related to the training and validation of the machine models are *** predictions from the models are checked against the values computed from the Keller-Miksis *** results show that the models are extremely efficient while providing accurate estimate of the *** models make it computationally feasible for the future simulations of the bubble clusters to include the effects of the secondary Bjerknes force.

As a class of functional crystalline porous materials, metal-organic frameworks(MOFs) gained rapid development in the past three decades and a large number of MOFs with ordered structures, high surface areas, and functionalized channels have been investigated. MOFs and MOF-derived/composite materials show great potential in many application fields. In this review, we discussed the main applications of MOFs and MOF-derived/composite materials in small molecule storage, separation, luminescence, sensing, multitype catalysis, and energy storage. In addition, challenges and problems in the future research of MOFsrelated fields are also discussed.

Multiuser hybrid beamforming of a wideband millimeter-wave(mm-wave) system is a complex combinatorial optimization problem. It not only needs large training data, but also tends to overfit and incur long run-time when multiple serial deep learning network models are used to solve this problem ***, multitask deep learning(MTDL) model could jointly learn multiple related tasks and share their knowledge among the tasks, and this has been demonstrated to improve performance, compared to learning the tasks individually. Therefore, this work presents a first attempt to exploit MTDL for multiuser hybrid beamforming for mm-wave massive multiple-input multiple-output orthogonal frequency division multiple access systems. The MTDL model includes a multitask network architecture, which consists of two tasksuser scheduling and multiuser analog beamforming. First, we use the effective channel with a low dimension as input data for the two parallel tasks to reduce the computational complexity of deep neural *** a shallow shared layer of the MTDL model, we utilize hard parameter sharing in which the knowledge of multiuser analog beamforming task is shared with the user scheduling task to mitigate multiuser interference. Second, in the training process of the MTDL model, we use the exhaustive search algorithm to generate training data to ensure optimal performance. Finally, we choose the weight coefficient of each task by traversing all weight coefficient combinations in the training phase. Simulation results prove that our proposed MTDL-based multiuser hybrid beamforming scheme could achieve better performance than traditional algorithms and multiple serial single tasks deep learning scheme.

Based on a series of recent papers, a powerful algorithm is reformulated for computing the maximal eigenpair of self-adjoint complex tridiagonal matrices. In parallel, the same problem in a particular case for computing the sub-maximal eigenpair is also introduced. The key ideas for each critical improvement are explained. To illustrate the present algorithm and compare it with the related algorithms, more than 10 examples are included.
