As one of the main materials in the practical *** superconductor,lead(Pb)has been used to manufacture superconducting AC power cable,and some weak current *** the development of manufacturing,technology,more and more researchers focus on exploring the physical and chemical properties of cryogenic superconducting materials,instead of blindly pursuing the improvement of the superconducting transition temperature(T_(c)).In this paper,the structural properties and superconducting transition temperature under high pressure of Pb have been studied by first-principles *** has shown that Pb can withstand the compressive strain up to 10%while the lattice structure remains stable,indicated by the calculations of phonon band *** 0%to 10%compressive strain,there is neither a band-gap nor changing of the band *** of electronic *** the Fermi level leads to a decreasing of T_(c).Our calculations show that Pb is a stable elemental metallic superconductor even under high pressure,which explains the reason why it has been used in practical productions.

The hydrolysis process of the anticancer agents novel non-classical transplatinum（ Ⅱ ） with aliphatic amines and the influence of solvent models therein have been studied by using hybrid density functional theory （B3LYP）. In this study, the stepwise hydrolysis, trans[PtCl2（Am）（isopropylamine）] ＋ 2H2O → trans-[Pt（Am）（isopropylamine）（OH2）2]^2＋＋ 2Cl^-, was explored. Implicit solvent effects were incorporated through polarized continuum models. The stationary points on the potential energy surfaces for the first and second hydrolysis steps,proceeding via a general SN2 pathway, were fully optimized and characterized. It was found that the first hydrolysis reaction is easier than the second one and the hydrolysis of trans- [PtCl2-（isopropylamine）2] is the easiest in our studying systems. The result can assist in under- tanding the hydrolysis mechanism of trans-[PtCl2（Am）（isopropylamine）] and designing novel Pt-based anticancer drugs.

Induced embryonic stem (ES) cells are expected to be promising cell resources for the observation of the cell behaviors in developmental biology as well as the implantation in cell treatments in human diseases. A recombinant E-cadherin substratum was developed as a cell recognizable substratum to maintain the ES cells’ self-renewal and pluripotency at single cell level. Furthermore, the generation of various cell lineages in different germ layers, including hepatic or neural cells, was achieved on the chimeric protein layer precisely and effectively. The induction and isolation of specific cell population was carried out with the enhancing effect of other artificial extracellular matrices (ECMs) in enzyme-free process. The murine ES cell-derived cells showed highly morphological similarities and functional expressions to matured hepatocytes or neural progenitor cells.

Natural gas processing involves the separation of higher hydrocarbons(C2–C3)from methane,which is an important and energy-intensive *** this paper,we present a comprehensive study of an innovative copper-based MOF(Cu-MOF)for the separation of propane and ethane from *** material exhibits a high adsorption capacity and selectivity for C2–C3 hydrocarbons over methane,which is primarily due to its preferential C2–C3 hydrocarbon *** adsorption isotherms at ambient conditions showed a remarkable uptake of C_(3)H_(8)of 134.0 cm^(3)/g,as well as excellent selectivity of 204 and 9 for C_(3)H_(8)/CH_(4)and C_(2)H_(6)/CH_(4).According to the theoretical calculations,differences in van der Waals interactions and polarizability of the guest molecules were responsible for influencing separation *** addition,we conducted adsorption kinetic experiments,dynamic breakthrough,and cycling experiments to further examine the separation ***,this research establishes an energy-efficient adsorbent for upgrading natural gas.

Empirical likelihood is a nonparametric method for constructing confidence intervals and tests, notably in enabling the shape of a confidence region determined by the sample data. This paper presents a new version of the empirical likelihood method for quantiles under kernel regression imputation to adapt missing response data. It eliminates the need to solve nonlinear equations, and it is essy to apply. We also consider exponential empirical likelihood as an alternative method. Numerical results are presented to compare our method with others.

The mitochondrion which contains its own double-stranded circular DNA is a semi-independent organelle that plays critical roles in cell activity. Mitochondrial DNA （mtDNA） is maternally inherited through several mechanisms that have been proposed （Luo et al., 2013） and, if mitochondrial mutations are inherited to the offspring, it is possible to cause mitochondrial diseases such as neuropathy, cardiomyopathy, myopathy, and liver failure.

For Bose-Einstein condensates trapped in a harmonic potential well, we present numerical results from solving the tlme-dependent nonlinear Schrolinger equation based on the Crank-Nicolson method. With this method we are able to find the ground state wave function and energy by evolving the trial initial wave function in real and imaginary time spaces, respectively. In real time space, the results are in agreement with [Phys. Rev. A 51 （1995） 4704], but the trial wave function is restricted in a very small range. On the contrary, in imaginary time space, the trial wave function can be chosen widely, moreover, the results are stable.

Membrane type 1 matrix metalloproteinase(MT1-MMP) is expressed in most tumors and is believed to play a key role in the development, invasion and metastasis of tumors. There is an urgent need to develop a simple method to detect the MT1-MMP expression level on cells. In this current study, we demonstrated a red emission Au cluster probes with the specific targeting of MT1-MMP on human dopaminergic neuroblastoma(SH-SY5 Y) cells. More importantly, utilizing the intrinsic enzyme-like activity of the Au cluster probes, the expression level of MT1-MMP on the SH-SY5 Y cells could be assessed by the naked eye without cell lysis and protein extraction process. Furthermore, SH-SY5 Y, human breast cancer(MCF-7), and human bronchial epithelial(16-HBE) cell lines with different MT1-MMP expression level could be distinguished using the Au cluster probes by the naked eye. Meanwhile, fluorescence intensity and Au count determined by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry(ICP-MS) were used to verify the feasibility of this simple analytical method. Our proposed method is rapid, convenient, and accurate and could be assessed by the naked eye. This visual assessment method of tumor-associated proteins has immense implications in sorting tumor cells.

In this paper, an extended Jacobi elliptic function rational expansion method is proposed for constructing new forms of exact Jacobi elliptic function solutions to nonlinear partial differential equations by means of making a more general transformation. For illustration, we apply the method to the （2＋1）-dimensional dispersive long wave equation and successfully obtain many new doubly periodic solutions, which degenerate as soliton solutions when the modulus m approximates 1. The method can also be applied to other nonlinear partial differential equations.
