HLY78 Attenuates Neuronal Apoptosis via the LRP6/GSK3β/β-Catenin Signaling Pathway After Subarachnoid Hemorrhage in Rats

Neuronal apoptosis is one of the essential mechanisms of early brain injury after subarachnoid hemorrhage(SAH).Recently,HLY78 has been shown to inhibit apoptosis in tumor cells and embryonic cells c aused by carbon ion radiation through activation of the Wnt/β-catenin *** study was designed to explore the anti-apoptotic role of HLY78 in experimental *** results demonstrated that HLY78 attenuated neuronal apoptosis and the neurological deficits after SAH through the activation of low-density lipoprotein receptor-related protein 6(LRP6),which subsequently increased the level of phosphorylated glycogen synthesis kinase 3 beta(p-GSK3β)(Ser9),β-catenin,and Bcl-2,accompanied by a decrease of p-β-catenin,Bax,and cleaved caspase *** LRP6 small-interfering ribonucleic acid reversed the effects of *** conclusion,HLY78 attenuates neuronal apoptosis and improves neurological deficits through the LRP6/GSK3β/β-catenin signaling pathway after SAH in ***78 is a promising therapeutic agent to attenuate early brain injury after SAH.

Rock slopes are usually reinforced by a number of rock bolts due to the high efficiency and low ***,where should the rock bolts be installed is still a troublesome *** anti-dip bedding rock slopes(ABRSs),the installation position of rock bolts is a controlling factor that determines the reinforcement *** this work,a theoretical method is firstly proposed for assessing the stability of ABRSs reinforced by rock bolts using a limit equilibrium model.A comparison of theoretical calculations and numerical results was conducted to test the correctness of the theoretical *** on the stability assessment of ABRSs,we introduce adaptive moment estimation method(Adam)to optimize the installation location of rock *** Adam optimizer,the optimal layout of rock bolts with the maximum factor of safety can be determined,and the factor of safety of the slope increases by about 25%using the same amount of rock bolts but with different installation *** proposed method enables the fast stability analysis and supporting design for reinforced ABRSs,which paves the way to smart supporting design of slopes.

Process reinforcement research was carried out in Y-junction slug flow microreactors under variable conditions,using EHEHPA(2-ethylhexyl phosphonic acid mono-2-ethylhexyl)to extract yttrium(Ⅲ)from hydrochloric acid *** influence of pH and flow rate on the extraction-reaction efficiency,slug size,mass transfer performance was *** experimental results showed that maximum extraction-reaction efficiency of 91.85%can be achieved in the smallest microreactor(residence time is 11.25 s),which was significantly higher than traditional extraction requiring more than 10 *** slug length tended to decrease with the increase of pH and flow *** mass transfer coefficients for the slug flow microreactors were found to be in the range of 1.39×10^-1-1.642s^-1 that is several orders of magnitude higher as compared to traditional extractors,which testified the beneficial effects of Y-junction slug flow *** mass transfer reinforcement has prompted the use of microreactor as a suitable alternative to traditional extractors,which can advantageously improve the economic and environmental development of mineral processing.

In the first half of winter 2020/21,China has experienced an extremely cold period across both northern and southern regions,with record-breaking low temperatures set in many stations of ***,a moderate La Niña event which exceeded both oceanic and atmospheric thresholds began in August 2020 and in a few months developed into its mature phase,just prior to the 2020/21 *** this report,the mid−high-latitude large-scale atmospheric circulation anomalies in the Northern Hemisphere,which were forced by the negative phase of Arctic Oscillation,a strengthened Siberian High,an intensified Ural High and a deepened East Asian Trough,are considered to be the direct reason for the frequent cold surges in winter 2020/*** the same time,the synergistic effect of the warm Arctic and the cold tropical Pacific(La Niña)provided an indispensable background,at a hemispheric scale,to intensify the atmospheric circulation anomalies in middle-to-high *** the end,a most recent La Niña prediction is provided and the on-coming evolution of climate is discussed for the remaining part of the 2020/21 winter for the purpose of future decision-making and early warning.

The application of ionic liquids(IL)in polymer electrolytes represents a safer alternative to the currently used organic solvents in lithium batteries due to their nonflammability and thermal ***,as a plasticizer,it is generally agreed that the introduction of ionic liquid usually leads to a trade-off between ion transport and mechanical properties of polymer *** we report the synthesis of an IL-embedded polymer electrolyte with both high ionic conductivity(2.77×10^(-4)S cm^(-1)at room temperature)and excellent mechanical properties(high tensile strength up to 11.4 MPa and excellent stretchability of 387%elongation at break)achieved by strong ion–dipole interactions between polymer electrolyte components,which was unveiled by the DFT ***,this polymer electrolyte also exhibits nonflammability,good thermal stability and the ability to recover reversibly from applied stress,i.e.,excellent *** highly viscoelastic polymer electrolyte enables tight interfacial contact and good adaptability with electrodes for stable lithium stripping/plating for 2000 h under a current density of 0.1 mA cm^(-2).By coupling with this polymer electrolyte,the LiFePO_(4)/Li cells exhibit outstanding cycling stability at room temperature as well as the reliability under extreme environmental temperature or being abused.

Effects of electron-phonon coupling on the phonon transport properties of the Weyl semimetals NbAs and TaAs:A comparative study

It has now become recognized that the electron-phonon coupling(EPC)may play an important role in governing the phonon transport,especially for metallic and semiconducting systems at high carrier *** we focus on the Weyl semimetals TaAs and NbAs and give a comparative study on their phonon transport properties by explicitly including the EPC in first-principles *** is found that the lattice thermal conductivities of both systems are significantly reduced by the EPC,which is more pronounced for the TaAs compared with the NbAs at the same carrier *** analysis indicates that the TaAs exhibits smaller EPC phonon relaxation time,as characterized by stronger EPC strength which is associated with larger deformation potential constant and Born effective ***,we see that the TaAs exhibits obviously larger overlap between the EPC relaxation time and that from intrinsic phonon-phonon scattering,which could further reduce the lattice thermal *** work not only highlights the vital importance of EPC in accurately predicting the phonon transport behaviors,but also offers a simple alternative to evaluate the EPC strength of various material systems.
