PubExplorer:An interactive analytical system for visualizing publication data

With the intersection and convergence of multiple disciplines and technologies,more and more researchers are actively exploring interdisciplinary cooperation outside their main research fields.Facing a new research field,researchers often hope to quickly learn what is being studied in this field,which research points are receiving high attention,which researchers are studying these research points,and then consider the possibility of collaborating with core researchers on these research points.In addition,students who are preparing for academic further education usually conduct research on mentors and mentors’research platforms,including academic connections,employment opportunities,etc.In order to satisfy these requirements,we(1)design a research point state map based on a science map to help researchers and students understand the development state of a new research field;(2)design a bar-link author-affiliation information graph to help researchers and students clarify academic networks of scholars and find suitable collaborators or mentors;(3)designs citation pattern histogram to quickly discover research achievements with high research value,such as the Sleeping Beauty papers,recently hot papers,classic papers and so on.Finally,an interactive analytical system named PubExplorer was implemented with IEEE VIS publication data,and its effectiveness is verified through case studies.

High and cost-efficient capture of CO_(2) is a prerequisite and an inevitable path of carbon emission reduction. To address the challenges(high cost, low efficiency, less sustainability, etc.) of existing petroleum-based CO_(2) absorbents, herein, a class of efficient and sustainable lignin-based absorbents were resoundingly prepared by grafting the active amine group on a lignin derived compound vanillin and alkali lignin. The results demonstrated that vanillin modified by acrylamide achieved the excellent absorption capacity among the three absorbents, whose ability was 0.114 g CO_(2) per gram of absorbent under 25 ℃ and 100 kPa. In addition, the absorbent retained stable absorbability of CO_(2) after 6 cycles.The absorbing capacity of the absorbent formed by the coupling of vanillin and acrylamide to CO_(2) was much greater than their own(i.e. 0 g CO_(2) ·g^(-1)vanillin, 0.01 g CO_(2) ·g^(-1) acrylamide, respectively).Detailed information revealed the multi-site synergistic absorption mechanism, in which CO_(2) has C and O double interactions with the amide group of the absorbent, and single interaction with the hydroxyl oxygen on the benzene ring of the absorbent. The absorption capacity of modified lignin for CO_(2) is as high as 0.12 g CO_(2) per gram of absorbent, which is comparable with that of model compound vanillin.This work not only provides a new idea for the design of bio-absorbents for CO_(2) capture, but explores the application potential of lignin-based materials.

OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the efficacy and safety of acupuncture and moxibustion therapy(AMT) for cancerrelated psychological symptoms(CRPS) of insomnia,depression and anxiety.METHODS:Seven databases were searched for randomized controlled trials(RCT) comparing AMT to routine care or conventional drug for alleviating CRPS of insomnia,depression,and anxiety before April 2020.Two independent reviewers performed the data extraction and assessed the risk of bias.RESULTS:A total of 30 RCTs involving 2483 cancer patients were enrolled.The pooled analysis indicated that the treatment group was significantly better than the control group in improving the depression effective rate [RR = 1.29,95% CI(1.12,1.49),P = 0.0004],the quality of life(QOL) [MD = 1.11,95% CI(0.80,1.42),P < 0.000 01],and reducing Self-rating Anxiety Scale(SAS) [MD =﹣7.75,95% CI(﹣10.44,﹣5.05),P < 0.000 01].But there was no statistically significant difference between two groups in improving the insomnia effective rate [RR = 1.18,95% CI(0.93,1.51),P = 0.18].The subgroup analysis showed the effectiveness of different intervention on CRPS.Compared with routine care,AMT helps relieve CRPS better evaluated by Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI),Hamilton Depression Scale(HAMD),and Self-rating Depression Scale(SDS),and depression effective rate.Compared with conventional drug,AMT performs better evaluated by SDS,depression effective rate and QOL.Moreover,the conventional drug showed higher treatment efficacy on improving insomnia effective rate compared with AMT.Compared to conventional drug,AMT plus conventional drug resulted in a significant reduction on CRPS such as PSQI,HAMD,SDS,and SAS,and also had a meaningful improvement on insomnia effective rate,depression effective rate and QOL.Fewer published reports were found on the adverse events of AMT than the conventional drug.CONCLUSION:The results suggested that AMT might be effective in improving CPRI;however,a definite conclusion could not be drawn because the quality of trials are low.Further large-scale an

The maritime communication network(MCN)plays an important role in the 6th generation(6G)system development.In MCNs,packet transport over long-distance lossy links will be ubiquitous.Transmission control protocol(TCP),the dominant transport protocol in the past decades,have had performance issues in such links.In this paper,we propose a novel transport approach which uses user datagram protocol(UDP)along with a simple yet effective bandwidth estimator for congestion control,and with a proactive packet-level forward erasure correction(FEC)code called streaming code to provide low-delay loss recovery without data retransmissions at all.We show that the approach can effectively address two issues of the state-of-the-art TCP variants in the long-distance lossy links,namely 1)the low bandwidth utilization caused by the slow increase of the congestion window(CWND)due to long roundtrip time(RTT)and the frequent CWND drop due to random and congestion losses,and 2)the high endto-end in-order delivery delay when re-transmissions are incurred to recover lost packets.In addition,we show that the scheme’s goodput has good smoothness and short-term intra-protocol fairness properties,which are beneficial for multimedia streaming and interactive applications that are prominent parts of today’s wireless traffic.

Evidence-based practice with knowledge, attitude and practice of ophthalmic nursing staffs: a cross-sectional study in south China

Background:This study aims to investigate the current status and influencing factors of evidence-based practice(EBP)with knowledge,attitude and practice(KAP)of ophthalmic nursing staffs in south China.Methods:Using a convenient sampling method,we selected 429 ophthalmic nursing staffs from 28 ophthalmology specialist hospitals or general hospitals in south China,and investigated their general information and implemented the evidence-based practice questionnaire(EBPQ).Results:The scores of EBP and KAP of ophthalmic nursing staffs in south China from high to low were as follows:practical attitude(4.85±1.07 points),practical behavior(4.42±1.14 points),practical knowledge and skills(4.30±0.65 points).The single factor analysis results showed that the first graduation degree,technical title,scientific research achievements,whether or not participate in EBP training,the frequency of reading literature at ordinary time,and whether or not participate in EBP project were the influencing factors of EBP level;the multi-factor analysis results showed that EBP attitude,EBP knowledge and skills,whether or not participate in EBP training were independent influencing factors of EBP.Conclusions:The ophthalmic nursing staffs in south China have a positive attitude towards EBP,however,their EBP knowledge,skills and behavioral capabilities need to be focused and improved.The ophthalmic nursing administrators should fully master the factors affecting the implementation of EBP,and take effective intervention measurement to improve the EBP abilities of ophthalmic nursing staffs,and promote the development of EBP in ophthalmology specialty.

Fiber optic sensors that utilize backscattered light offer distributed real-time measurements and have been seen tremendous improvements in sensing distance and spatial resolution over the last decades.However, these improvements in sensor capabilities lead to a significant increase in the amount of data that needs to be processed. Traditional processing schemes are no longer adequate, so the development of novel signal processing methods is critical. Phase-sensitive optical time domain reflectometry(Φ-OTDR) is now applied in various applications for multi-event recognition, and it would usually be difficult, sometimes even unrealistic to label all the acquired samples due to its real-time and seamless monitoring nature. To fully take advantage of the information contained within the large number of unlabeled samples, which were formerly not utilized and hence wasted, we propose a semi-supervised model to boost the event classification performance of Φ-OTDR. The model extracts respectively the temporal features and the spatial bidirectional features together with a dual attention mechanism. Its classification accuracy has been improved up to 96.9%with only 1230 labeled samples. In addition, our model shows significant advantages when the number of labeled samples is reduced. Importantly, our method improves the accuracy of multi-event classification without any modification to the optical setup.

The estrogen signaling system is a crucial regulator of metabolicandphysiologicalprocesses.However,abnormal activation of estrogen signaling may play a role in breast cancer initiation and progression.Crucial to this pathway is the interaction between estrogen receptor alpha(ERa)and various co-transcription activators.1 Although numerous studies have investigated ER coregulators,the protein-protein interaction networks of ERa are not fully understood.Recent research has shown that high chromodomain helicase DNA-binding 4(CHD4)expression is linked to poor prognosis in various cancers.2,?In this study,we demonstrated that both CHD4 and ERαcontribute to breast cancer progression while providing evidence of the regulatory processes and functional interplay between these two proteins.

In order to reduce the weight and energy consumption of the whole machine against the heavy mechanical structure and excessive strength redundancy in current small-scale peanut seeders with one ridge and two rows,a finite element model of the frame was established and the static finite element analysis and modal analysis were conducted with ANSYS Workbench.Sensitivity analysis that focuses on the size of intermediate support beams and other components was performed so as to set up a multi-objective optimization model.Then a size optimization and multi-objective optimization collaborative scheme was adopted so that the target was optimized by the Seagull Optimization Algorithm(SOA)to obtain the optimal solution.Based on the results of the finite element analysis,the mechanical structure of the peanut seeder was optimized for lightweight design.Furthermore,response surface plots and static structural analysis were applied for validation.It turned out that the maximum stress of the optimized structure was less than the allowable stress;the weight of the frame reduced by 32.5%after optimization;and the first-order natural frequency did not coincide with the engine input speed or working speed,thus no resonance will occur.Field experiments showed that the qualified rate of row spacing was≥96%when operating at different speeds of different types of seeders;The seeding depth operation performance was stable,with an average qualified rate of seeding depth of≥92%;The performance of the seeders was also stable and reliable due to the lightweight prototype structure.The research outcomes can provide an effective technical reference and theoretical basis for the lightweight design of peanut seeders and for its continuous improvement as well in the future.
