Understanding livelihood vulnerability:a perspective from Western Sichuan’s ethnic rural settings

To explore the livelihood status and key influencing factors of rural households in the minority areas,we collected flat data from 284 rural households in 32 villages across 12 counties of Western Sichuan from 2021 to *** conducted participatory household survey on the livelihood status of the rural households and try to identify the key factors to influence their livelihood vulnerability using multiple linear *** results showed that:the livelihood situation of the rural households is relatively *** vulnerability varies significantly with the income levels,education levels,and income *** vulnerability of farm households,categorized from low to high livelihood types,follows the sequence:non-agricultural dominant households,non-agricultural households,agricultural dominant households,and pure agricultural *** degree of damage to the natural environment,education costs,loan opportunities,the proportion of agricultural income to annual household income,and the presence of sick people in the household have significant positive effects on the livelihood vulnerability index(LVI)of rural households;while help from relatives and friends,net income per capita,household size,household education,agricultural land area,participation in industrial organizations,number of livestock,purchase of commercial houses,drinking water source,and self-supply of food have significant negative *** on the findings,we believe that local rural households operate in a complex livelihood system and recommend continuous interventions targeting key influences to provide empirical research support for areas facing similar situations.

Activation of nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2(Nrf2)by Kelch-like ECH-associated protein 1(Keap1)alkylation plays a central role in anti-inflammatory ***,activators of Nrf2 through alkylation of Keap1-Kelch domain have not been ***(DNQ)is a natural small molecule discovered from marine *** current study was designed to investigate the anti-inflammatory effects and molecular mechanisms of DNQ via alkylation of *** exhibited significant anti-inflammatory properties both in vitro and in *** pharmacophore responsible for the anti-inflammatory properties of DNQ was determined to be theα,β-unsaturated amides moieties by a chemical reaction between DNQ and *** exerted anti-inflammatory effects through activation of Nrf2/ARE ***1 was demonstrated to be the direct target of DNQ and bound with DNQ through conjugate addition reaction involving *** specific alkylation site of DNQ on Keap1 for Nrf2 activation was elucidated with a synthesized probe in conjunction with liquid chromatography-tandem mass *** triggered the ubiquitination and subsequent degradation of Keap1 by alkylation of the cysteine residue 489(Cys489)on Keap1-Kelch domain,ultimately enabling the activation of *** findings revealed that DNQ exhibited potent anti-inflammatory capacity throughα,β-unsaturated amides moieties active group which specifically activated Nrf2 signal pathway via alkylation/ubiquitination of Keap1-Kelch domain,suggesting the potential values of targeting Cys489 on Keap1-Kelch domain by DNQ-like small molecules in inflammatory therapies.

Pyridine-regulated Sb@InSbS_(3)ultrafine nanoplates as high-capacity and long-cycle anodes for sodium-ion batteries

Sb-based materials exhibit considerable potential for sodium-ion storage owing to their high theoretica ***,the bulk properties of Sb-based materials always result in poor cycling and rate *** overcome these issues,pyridine-regulated Sb@InSbS_(3)ultrafine nanoplates loaded on reduced graphene oxides(Sb@InSbS_(3)@rGO)were designed and *** the synthesis process,pyridine was initially adopted to coordinate with In^(3+),and uniformly dispersed In_(2)S_(3)ultrafine nanoplates on reduced graphene oxide were generated after ***,partial In^(3+)was exchanged with Sb^(3+),and Sb@InSbS_(3)@rGO was obtained by using the subsequent annealing *** unique structure of Sb@InSbS_(3)@rGO effectively shortened the transfer path of sodium ions and electrons and provided a high *** the anode in sodium-ion batteries,the Sb@InSbS_(3)@rGO electrode demonstrated a significantly higher reversible capacity better stability(445 m Ah·g^(-1)at 0.1 A·g^(-1)after 200 cycles and 212 mAh·g^(-1)at 2 A·g^(-1)after 1200 cycles),and superior rate(210 mAh·g^(-1)at 6.4 A·g^(-1))than the electrode without pyridine(355 mAh·g-1at 0.1 A·g-1after 55 cycles and 109 mAh·g^(-1)at 2 A·g^(-1)after 770 cycles)Furthermore,full cells were assembled by using the Sb@InSbS_(3)@rGO as anode and Na_(3)V_(2)(PO_(4))_(3)as cathode which demonstrated good cycling and rate performances and exhibited promising application *** results indicate that adjusting the microstructure of electrode materials through coordination balance is A·good strategy for obtaining high-capacity,high-rate,and longcycle sodium storage performances.

Wave Attenuation and Turbulence Driven by Submerged Vegetation Under Current-Wave Flow

A set of laboratory experiments are carried out to investigate the effect of following/opposing currents on wave *** vegetation canopies with aligned and staggered configurations were tested under the condition of various regular wave heights and current velocities,with the constant water depth being 0.60 m to create the desired submerged *** show that the vegetation-induced wave dissipation is enhanced with the increasing incident wave height.A larger velocity magnititude leads to a greater wave height attenuation for both following and opposing current ***,there is a strong positive linear correlation between the damping coefficientβand the relative wave height H_(0)/h,especially for pure wave *** the velocity profile,the distributions of U_(min)and U_(max)show different patterns under combined wave and *** time-averaged turbulent kinetic energy(TKE)vary little under pure wave and U_(c)=±0.05 m/s *** the increase of flow velocity amplitude,the time-averaged TKE shows a particularly pronounced increase trend at the top of the *** vegetation drag coefficients are obtained by a calibration *** empirical relations of drag coefficient with Reynolds and Keulegane-Carpenter numbers are proposed to further understand the wave-current-vegetation interaction mechanism.

Evolution of High-energy Electron Distribution in Pulsar Wind Nebulae

In this paper,we analyze the spectral energy distributions of 17 powerful(with a spin-down luminosity greater than10~(35)erg s~(-1))young(with an age less than 15,000 yr)pulsar wind nebulae(PWNe)using a simple timein-dependent one-zone emission *** aim is to investigate correlations between model parameters and the ages of the corresponding PWNe,thereby revealing the evolution of high-energy electron distributions within *** findings are as follows:(1)The electron distributions in PWNe can be characterized by a double power-law with a super-exponential cutoff.(2)As PWNe evolve,the high-energy end of the electron distribution spectrum becomes harder with the index decreasing from approximately 3.5 to 2.5,while the low-energy end spectrum index remains constant near 1.5.(3)There is no apparent correlation between the break energy or cutoff energy and the age of PWNe.(4)The average magnetic field within PWNe decreases with age,leading to a positive correlation between the energy loss timescale of electrons at the break energy or the high-energy cutoff and the age of the PWN.(5)The total electron energy within PWNe remains constant near 2×10~(48)erg,while the total magnetic energy decreases with age.

Numerical investigation on compressible flow around a cylinder in proximity to the heated wall

In this study,direct numerical simulations were conducted to investigate the compressible flow around a circular cylinder near a heated wall at a Reynolds number(Re)of 500 and a Mach number(Ma)of *** heating ratio T^(*)ranging from 1.0 to 1.6 represents the different situations of a heated wall,whereas the gap ratio ranges from 0.3 to *** study analyzed the impact of heating effect and wall proximity on flow characteristics and aerodynamic *** results indicated that the stability of the flow was enhanced as the gap ratio decreased or the heating ratio *** the calculation of enstrophy,it was found that the strength of shedding vortices weakens with a decrease in gap ratio or an increase in heating ***,the mean drag coefficient decreases as the heating ratio increases or the gap ratio *** contrast,the mean lift coefficient initially decreases and then increases as the gap ratio ***,the drag reduction mechanism was analyzed by examining the pressure distribution on the surface of the cylinder.

Effect of Mn content on microstructure and properties of AlCrCuFeMnx high-entropy alloy

AlCrCuFeMnx(x=0,0.5,1,1.5,and 2)high-entropy alloys were prepared using the vacuum arc melting *** microstructure and mechanical properties of AlCrCuFeMnxwere analyzed and tested by XRD,SEM,TEM,nanoindentation,and electronic universal *** results indicate that the AlCrCuFeMnxhigh-entropy alloy exhibits a dendritic structure,consisting of dendrites with a BCC structure,interdendrite regions with an FCC structure,and precipitates with an ordered BCC structure that form within the ***(Mn)has a strong affinity for dendritic,interdendritic,and precipitate structures,allowing it to easily enter these *** an increase in Mn content,the size of the precipitated nanoparticles in the dendritic region initially increases and then ***,the area fraction initially decreases and then ***,the alloy’s strength and wear resistance decrease,while its plasticity *** Al Cr Cu Fe Mn1.5alloy boasts excellent mechanical properties,including a hardness of 360 HV and a wear rate of 2.4×10^(-5)mm^(3)·N^(-1)·mm^(-1).It also exhibits impressive yield strength,compressive strength,and deformation rates of 960 MPa,1,700 MPa,and 27.5%,respectively.

Thymic carcinoid with multiple bone metastases:A case report

BACKGROUND Thymic carcinoid(TC)is a rare entity among anterior mediastinal *** are neuroendocrine carcinomas that constitute approximately 2%–5%of all thymic epithelial *** SUMMARY The study reported a rare TC with multiple bone metastases.A 77-year-old man presented with a 2-month history of lower back pain and weight loss of 5 *** resonance imaging scans revealed damage to the lumbar spine,sacrocaudal vertebrae and iliac crest,suggesting bone metastasis;computed tomography(CT)scan of the thorax showed a calcified anterior mediastinal mass;positron emission tomography-CT demonstrated multiple abnormal bone signals;and laboratory work-up showed no endocrine ***-needle aspiration biopsy revealed predominantly single small,round to oval cells with scant cytoplasm and some loose clusters,suggesting endocrine *** pathological diagnosis was atypical carcinoid,which tend to originate from the thymus and was classified as intermediate-highly *** patient underwent anlotinib-targeted ***(12 mg)was administered daily for 2 wk,after which the patient was allowed to rest for 21 ***-up CT after one year demonstrated that the tumor had shrunk by approximately 29%after *** has a long stable disease benefit of more than 2.5 *** These findings demonstrated that anlotinib is a promising treatment regimen for patients with TC and multiple bone metastases.
