A performance-based hybrid deep learning model for predicting TBM advance rate using Attention-ResNet-LSTM

The technology of tunnel boring machine(TBM)has been widely applied for underground construction worldwide;however,how to ensure the TBM tunneling process safe and efficient remains a major *** rate is a key parameter of TBM operation and reflects the TBM-ground interaction,for which a reliable prediction helps optimiz. the TBM ***,we develop a hybrid neural network model,called Attention-ResNet-LSTM,for accurate prediction of the TBM advance rate.A database including geological properties and TBM operational parameters from the Yangtz. River Natural Gas Pipeline Project is used to train and test this deep learning *** evolutionary polynomial regression method is adopted to aid the selection of input *** results of numerical exper-iments show that our Attention-ResNet-LSTM model outperforms other commonly-used intelligent models with a lower root mean square error and a lower mean absolute percentage ***,parametric analyses are conducted to explore the effects of the sequence length of historical data and the model architecture on the prediction accuracy.A correlation analysis between the input and output parameters is also implemented to provide guidance for adjusting relevant TBM operational *** performance of our hybrid intelligent model is demonstrated in a case study of TBM tunneling through a complex ground with variable ***,data collected from the Baimang River Tunnel Project in Shenz.en of China are used to further test the generaliz.tion of our *** results indicate that,compared to the conventional ResNet-LSTM model,our model has a better predictive capability for scenarios with unknown datasets due to its self-adaptive characteristic.

Evaluation on Configuration Stiffness of Overconstrained 2R1T Parallel Mechanisms

Currently,two rotations and one translation(2R1T)three-degree-of-freedom(DOF)parallel mechanisms(PMs)are widely applied in five-DOF hybrid machining ***,there is a lack of an effective method to evaluate the configuration stiffness of mechanisms during the mechanism design *** is a challenge to select appropriate 2R1T PMs with excellent stiffness performance during the design *** the operational status of 2R1T PMs,the bending and torsional stiffness are considered as indices to evaluate PMs'configuration ***,a specific method is proposed to calculate these stiffness ***,the various types of structural and driving stiffness for each branch are assessed and their specific values ***,a rigid-flexible coupled force model for the over-constrained 2R1T PM is established,and the proposed evaluation method is used to analyz. the configuration stiffness of the five 2R1T PMs in the entire ***,the driving force and constraint force of each branch in the whole working space are calculated to further elucidate the stiffness evaluating results by using the proposed method *** obtained results demonstrate that the bending and torsional stiffness of the 2RPU/UPR/RPR mechanism along the x and y-directions are larger than the other four mechanisms.

Hemostatic hydrogels are widely applied for wound management of damaged tissues,traumatic wounds,and surgical *** hydrogels composed of bioactive components,including fibrin and thrombin,showed great promise in the clinic due to their good pro-coagulation *** the expanding knowledge of cascade reaction of blood coagulation and emerging bioactive substances,massive bioactive hydrogels consisting of peptides,hemocoagulase,polyphosphate(polyP),etc.,have been developed as effective hemostatic *** on the coagulation process and mechanism,we summariz. the role of reported bioactive hydrogels in hemostasis in this *** conclude the key points in the coagulation process,including activation of coagulation factors,fibrinogen polymeriz.tion,etc.,then discuss how to design bioactive hydrogels to accelerate coagulation targeted to these ***,we conclude the progress and propose a perspective of bioactive hydrogels with a pro-coagulation effect for hemostasis.

Photoperiod Mediates the Effects of Temperature and Light Intensity on the Proliferation of Ulva prolifera

In order to study the complex effects of photoperiod,temperature,and light intensity on the spore maturation and release number of Ulva prolifera,we cultured thalli segment(2–3 mm)under three different photoperiods(L:D=12:12,14:10 and 10:14),temperature(15℃(LT),25℃(MT)and 30℃(HT))and light intensity(100,200 and 400μmol m^(−2)s^(−1),noted as LL,ML and HL,respectively)*** the maturation time,spore release number and chlorophyll fluorescence were *** results suggested that:1)The spore maturation time was accelerated by higher temperature or higher light intensity from 62 h to 36 h,and changes in day length accelerated the spore maturation to a certain extent as compared with 12:12 light/dark cycle;2)Higher light intensity significantly decreased the chlorophyll fluorescence(Fv′/Fm′,NPQ,rETRmax andα)of the mature reproductive segment under 30℃with 12:12 light/dark *** when in the other photoperiods(10:14 and 14:10 conditions),the inhibitory effects of high light intensity were alleviated significantly;3)The optimum condition for the spore maturation and release was 12:12 light/dark cycle,25℃,400μmol m^(−2)s^(−1),with both shorter and longer photoperiod reducing the spore release number;4)Higher light intensity significantly increased the spore release number under 25℃,but these effects were alleviated by 30℃*** study is the first attempt to elucidate the coincidence effects of photoperiod,temperature and light intensity on the reproduction of Ulva,which would help to reveal the mechanism of the rapid proliferation of green tide.

Characteristics and Preliminary Causes of Tropical Cyclone Remote Precipitation over China

In this study,the characteristics and preliminary causes of tropical cyclone remote precipitation(TRP)over China during the period from 1979 to 2020 are *** indicated that approximately 72.42%of tropical cyclones(TCs)in the Western Pacific produce TRP over *** peak months for TRP are July and *** four key regions of TRP are the adjacent areas between the Sichuan and Shaanxi Provinces,the northern coast of the Bohai Sea,the coast of the Yellow Sea,and the southern coast *** typical distance between the station with TRP and the TC center ranges from 1500 to 2500 *** of these stations are situated north to 60°west of north of the *** south–west water vapor transportation on the west side of the TC is crucial to *** has a decreasing trend because of the decrease in the number of TCs that generate *** the perspective of large-scale environmental conditions,a decrease in the integrated horiz.ntal water vapor transport in China' Mainland,the weakening of upward motion at approximately 25°–35°N,which is inconducive to convection,and an increase in low-level vertical wind shear,which is unfavorable for the development of TC in areas with high frequencies of TRP-related TCs,are the factors that result in the decreasing trend of TRP.

Currently,the major therapy for patients with ovarian cancer includes post-cytoreductive surgery followed by chemotherapy of carboplatin or cisplatin plus *** rise of drug resistance is a substantial factor in cancer recurrence and mortality among ovarian cancer patients receiving cisplatin ***147 is widely expressed in a variety of cancer tissues1 and recogniz.d as a drug target for its antibody drug Licartin which has been approved by China’s National Medicines and Pharmaceutical Administration.2 Even though many studies reported that CD147 is involved in the cisplatin resistance of varieties of cancers,3 its mechanism remains *** this investigation,we uncovered a distinctive mechanism by which CD147 regulates cisplatin resistance through the proteasomal degradation of the transcription factor FOXM1,which is associated with DNA damage repair,in ovarian cancer *** results suggest that targeting CD147 may have therapeutic implications for increasing cisplatin efficiency in the management of ovarian cancer.

Programmable silicon-photonic quantum simulator based on a linear combination of unitaries

Simulating the dynamic evolution of physical and molecular systems in a quantum computer is of fundamental interest in many applications. The implementation of dynamics simulation requires efficient quantum algorithms. The Lie-Trotter-Suz.ki approximation algorithm, also known as the Trotteriz.tion, is basic in Hamiltonian dynamics simulation. A multi-product algorithm that is a linear combination of multiple Trotteriz.tions has been proposed to improve the approximation accuracy. However, implementing such multiproduct Trotteriz.tion in quantum computers remains challenging due to the requirements of highly controllable and precise quantum entangling operations with high success probability. Here, we report a programmable integrated-photonic quantum simulator based on a linear combination of unitaries, which can be tailored for implementing the linearly combined multiple Trotteriz.tions, and on the simulator we benchmark quantum simulation of Hamiltonian dynamics. We modify the multi-product algorithm by integrating it with oblivious amplitude amplification to simultaneously reach high simulation precision and high success probability. The quantum simulator is devised and fabricated on a large-scale silicon-photonic quantum chip, which allows the initializ.tion, manipulation, and measurement of arbitrary four-qubit states and linearly combined unitary gates. As an example, the quantum simulator is reprogrammed to emulate the dynamics of an electron spin and nuclear spin coupled system. Ultra-high sensitivity fiber optic microphone with corrugated graphene-oxide diaphragm for voice recognition

To avoid interference from unexpected background noises and obtain high fidelity voice signal,acoustic sensors with high sensitivity,flat frequency response,and high signal-to-noise ratio(SNR)are urgently needed for voice ***(GO)has received extensive attention due to its advantages of controllable thickness and high fracture ***,low mechanical sensitivity(SM)introduced by undesirable initial stress limits the performance of GO material in the field of voice *** alleviate the aforementioned issue,GO diaphragm with annular corrugations is *** means of the reusable copper mold machined by picosecond laser,the fabrication and transfer of corrugated GO diaphragm are realiz.d,thus achieving a Fabry–Perot(F–P)acoustic *** from the structural advantage of the corrugated GO diaphragm,our F–P acoustic sensor exhibits high S_(M)(43.70 nm/Pa@17 kHz.,flat frequency response(−3.2 to 3.7 dB within 300–3500 Hz.,and high SNR(76.66 dB@1 kHz..In addition,further acoustic measurements also demonstrate other merits,including an excellent frequency detection resolution(0.01 Hz.and high time stability(output relative variation less than 6.7% for 90 min).Given the merits presented before,the fabricated F–P acoustic sensor with corrugated GO diaphragm can serve as a high-fidelity platform for acoustic detection and voice *** conjunction with the deep residual learning framework,high recognition accuracy of 98.4%is achieved by training and testing the data recorded by the fabricated F–P acoustic sensor.
