Optical Coherence Tomography Features of Tuberculous Serpiginous-like Choroiditis and Serpiginous Choroiditis

Objective To investigate optical coherence tomography（OCT） characteristics of tuberculous serpiginous-like choroiditis（Tb-SLC） and serpiginous choroiditis（SC） and to perform OCT to differentiate between these *** This retrospective,case-control study examined consecutively enrolled patients with active Tb-SLC or *** underwent comprehensive ocular examinations and imaging（OCT,color fundus photography,autofluorescence imaging,fluorescein angiography,and indocyanine green angiography）.Findings were examined and compared between eyes with SC and *** Nine patients with active Tb-SLC（14 eyes） and 8 with active SC（12 eyes） were *** following OCT findings were observed significantly more often in the Tb-SLC group than in the SC group： vitreal hyper-reflective spots [5 Tb-SLC eyes（36%）,no SC eyes：P = 0.02],intraretinal edema [11 Tb-SLC eyes（79%）,3 SC eyes（25%）：P = 0.01],sub-retinal pigment epithelium（RPE） drusenoid deposits [11 Tb-SLC eyes（79%）,2 SC eyes（17%）：P 〈 0.01],and choroidal granulomas [8 Tb-SLC eyes（57%）,2 SC eyes（17%）：P = 0.03].A hyporeflective,wedge-shaped band was observed more often in the SC group [5 Tb-SLC eyes（36%）,9 SC eyes（75%）：P = 0.045] than in the Tb-SLC *** incidence of other OCT signs did not differ between the groups and included outer nuclear layer hyper-reflection,outer retinal tabulation,and choriocapillaris point-like *** Vitreal hyper-reflective spots,intraretinal fluid,sub-RPE drusenoid deposits,and choroidal granulomas on OCT images may indicate ***,a hyporeflective,wedge-shaped band may indicate ***,OCT is likely helpful in differentiating between Tb-SLC and SC.

The sluggish kinetics behaviors and vast volume variations of Na+hosts to FeS2anode involved intercalation,and conversion reactions plague its applicability of sodium-ion batteries （SIBs）.Here,a significantly expedited kinetics via cation intercalation and considerably relieved stress accumulation by constructing the concave scaffold protector are approached for *** Mn2+intercalation into FeS2,a new stable Mn–FeS2was generated with distorted coordination;elevated antibonding orbital occupancy and lowed d band center to the release of more free Na+were achieved,which was further encapsulated by hollow bowl-like carbon spheres （BC）This cation intercalation and concave morphology strategies confer Mn–FeS2@BC significantly enhanced electron ion transport kinetics via reversed electron transfer to FeS2fast desolvation kinetics,and evidently depressed structural deformation during Na+insertion and ***,Mn–FeS2@BC delivers the longevity and stable Na+storage capacity in both half and full cell ***,Mn–FeS2@BC also displays excellen adaptability in a wider temperature *** work proposes new views into the deep regulation of electrochemical performance of transition metal anodes via intercalation chemistry and concave engineering.

Lung cancer produces a high incidence of malignant *** have been many studies on lung cancer using mass spectrometry(MS)***,most studies have focused on humoral *** this work,26 pairs of tissue samples(tumor ***-tumor)from patients with lung cancer were analyzed using liquid chromatography-tandem MS(LC-MS/MS)with data-independent acquisition *** total,3152 proteins were quantified from tissue samples with high confidence,including 189 up-regulated and 522 down-regulated proteins(tumor ***-tumor).In addition,79 and 690 proteins were identified only in para-cancerous samples and cancerous samples,*** results from bio-informatics tools indicated that altered proteins like PEBP1,HRG and LYZ could be ideal reservoirs for screening the potential biomarkers for lung *** is believed these tissue-specific proteomics results will assist in the studies of lung cancer.

In-depth understanding of transport behavior of sulfided nano zerovalent iron/reduced graphene oxide@guar gum slurry: Stability and mobility

Nanoscale zero-valent iron(NZVI),which has the advantages of small particle size,large specific surface area,and high reactivity,is often injected into contaminated aquifers in the form of ***,the prone to passivation and agglomeration as well as poor stability andmobility of NZVI limit the further application of this technology in ***,sulfided NZVI loaded on reduced graphene oxide(S-NZVI/rGO)and guar gum(GG)with shearthinning properties as stabilizers were used to synthesize S-NZVI/rGO@GG ***,TEM,and FT-IR confirmed that the dispersion and anti-passivation of NZVI were optimized in the coupled *** stability and mobility of the slurry were improved by increasing the GG concentration,enhancing the pH,and decreasing the ionic strength and the presence of Ca^(2+)ions,respectively.A modified advection-dispersion equation(ADE)was used to simulate the transport experiments considering the strain and physicochemical deposition/***,colloidal filtration theory(CFT)demonstrated that Brownian motion plays a dominant role in themigration of S-NZVI/rGO@GG slurry,and the maximummigration distance can be increased by appropriately increasing the injection ***-Derjaguin-Landau-Verwey-Overbeek(XDLVO)theory showed that the excellent stability and migration of S-NZVI/rGO@GG slurry mainly came from the GG spatial *** study has important implications for the field injection of S-NZVI/rGO@GG *** to the injection parameters,the injection range of S-NZVI/rGO@GG slurry is effectively controlled,which lays the foundation for the promotion of application in actual fields.

Objective The aim of this study was to determine the repeatability and reproducibility of optical coherence tomography angiography（OCTA） based on optical microangiography（OMAG） measurements of macular vessels in normal eyes. Methods In this prospective cohort study, 40 eyes of 40 healthy volunteers underwent repeated OCTA（Cirrus HD-OCT 5000 angiography system, Carl Zeiss Meditec, Inc.） scans on two separate visit days. On each visit day, the eyes were scanned three times. The following parameters were used to quantitatively describe the OCTA images of the superficial vascular network： vessel area density（VAD）, vessel skeleton density（VSD）, vessel diameter index（VDI）, vessel perimeter index（VPI）, vessel complexity index（VCI）, flux, and foveal avascular zone（FAZ）. Coefficient of variation（CV） and intraclass correlation coefficient（ICC） were calculated for evaluating intravisit and intervisit repeatability, as well as interobserver reproducibility. Results The measurements showed high repeatability [CVs ≤ 4.2%（intravisit） and ≤ 4.6%（intervisit）] and interobserver reproducibility（ICCs ≥ 0.923） for all parameters. Conclusion This study demonstrated good repeatability and reproducibility of OCTA based on OMAG for the measurement of superficial vessel parameters in normal eyes.

Epidemiology of pterygium in aged rural population of Beijing, China

Background Pterygium is a common ophthalmic disease and an important public health problem. It may be affected by many factors such as age, gender, ultraviolet radiation exposure, and time spent outdoors. This study aimed to investigate the prevalence of pterygium and evaluate the risk factors for the development of pterygium in the aged rural population of Beijing. Methods The investigation is a population-based cross-sectional study. Participants from 198 villages of 13 suburban districts, aged 55-85 years old, were invited to complete a medical record, and 37 067 individuals were taken external ocular and fundus photos at Beijing ocular disease survey in 2008-2009. The information was uploaded by Internet and diagnosed with stages and grades by ophthalmological specialists. The prevalence, stages and grades of pterygia were observed. Results Of the 37 067 individuals, 1395 （3.76%） had pterygium. There was a significantly higher prevalence in male （5.13%） than in female （3.17%, P=0.000）. The prevelence rate increased obviously with ages （X2=7.939, P=0.019） in rural Beijing. The average prevalence of 5.91% in Daxing and Fangshan districts with low latitude and low precipitation was significantly higher than that in Miyun and Huairou districts with high latitude and deep precipitation （3.17%, P=-0.000）. The majority of the pterygia （43.5%） were in active stage and 46.5% pterygia involved pupil area corneas. Conclusions There is a statistically significant association between latitude and precipitation of habitation region and pterygium formation. Solar radiation, especially ultraviolet exposure represents a significant environment hazard to pterygium development.

Enhancing Evolutionary Algorithms With Pattern Mining for Sparse Large-Scale Multi-Objective Optimization Problems

A Two-Layer Encoding Learning Swarm Optimizer Based on Frequent Itemsets for Sparse Large-Scale Multi-Objective Optimization
