Heat treatment of metal-organic frameworks(MOFs)has provided a wide variety of functional carbons coordinated with metal *** this study,two kinds of zinc-based MOF(ZMOF),C_(16)H_(10)O_(4)Zn(ZMOF1)and C_(8)H_(4)O_(4)Zn(ZMOF2),were ***1 and ZMOF2 were carbonized at 1000℃,forming CZMOF1 and CZMOF2,*** specific surface area(S_(BET))of CZMOF2 was~2700 m^(2)g^(−1),much higher than that of CZMOF1(~1300 m^(2)g^(−1)).A supercapacitor electrode based on CZMOF2 achieved specific capacitances of 360,278,and 221 F g^(−1)at 50,250,and 1000 mA g^(−1)in an aqueous electrolyte(H2SO_(4)),respectively,the highest values reported to date for ZMOF-derived electrodes under identical *** practical applicability of the CZMOF-based supercapacitor was verified in non-aqueous *** initial capacitance retention was 78%after 100000 charge/discharge cycles at 10 A g^(−1).Crucially,the high capacitance of CZMOF2 arises from pore generation during *** 1000℃,pore generation is dominated by the Zn/C ratio of ZMOFs,as carbon atoms reduce the zinc oxides formed during *** 1000℃,a high O/C ratio becomes essential for pore generation because the oxygen functional groups are *** findings will provide insightful information for other metal-based MOFderived multifunctional carbons.

Repeat liver resection(RLR)is an effective treatment approach for recurrent hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)and can provide acceptable long-term outcomes in select *** randomized controlled trials comparing RLR with radiofrequency ablation revealed that the latter approach was associated with a higher rate of early recurrence compared with *** recent advances in laparoscopic liver resection(LLR),RLR has been increasingly performed using *** propensity score-matched studies reported that laparoscopic RLR achieved lower blood loss and shorter hospital stays compared to open ***,laparoscopic RLR requires more advanced techniques because of adhesions formed after the previous liver resection,changes in anatomical landmarks,and deformity of the remnant *** recently described difficulty classification of laparoscopic RLR is based on five factors including type of previous liver resection(open or laparoscopic),number of previous liver resections,surgical procedure used in previous liver resections,tumor location in previous liver resections,and difficulty score of LLR for recurrent *** reviewed the available literature to summarize available evidence suggesting that laparoscopic RLR might be considered a more minimally invasive surgical treatment approach for recurrent HCC as long as the indication for laparoscopic RLR is carefully determined.

AIM： To investigate the ability of a genetically altered embryonic stem （ES） cell line to generate insulin-producing cells in vitro following transfer of the Nkx2.2 ***： Hamster Nkx2.2 genes were transferred into mouse ES cells. Parental and Nkx2.2-transfected ES cells were initiated toward differentiation in embryoid body （EB） culture for 5 d and the resulting EBs were transferred to an attached culture system. Dithizone （DTZ）, a zincchelating agent known to selectively stain pancreatic beta cells, was used to detect insulin-producing *** outgrowths were incubated in DTZ solution （final concentration, 100μg/mL） for 15 rain before being examined microscopically. Gene expression of the endocrine pancreatic markers was also analyzed by RT-PCR. In addition, insulin production was determined immunohistochemically and its secretion was examined using an ***： DTZ-stained cellular clusters appeared after approximately 14 d in the culture of Nkx2.2-transfected ES cells （Nkx-ES cells）, which was as much as 2 wk earlier, than those in the culture of parental ES cells （wt-ES）. The frequency of DTZ-positive cells among total cultured cells on day 28 accounted for approximately 1.0% and 0.1% of the Nkx-ES- and wt-ES-derived EB outgrowths, respectively. The DTZ-positive cellular clusters were found to be immunoreactive to insulin, while the gene expressions of pancreatic-duodenal homeobox 1 （PDX1）, proinsulin 1 and proinsulin 2 were observed in the cultures that contained DTZ-positive cellular *** secretion was also confirmed by ELISA, whereas glucose-dependent secretion was not ***： Nkx2.2-transfected ES cells showed an ability to differentiate into insulin-producing cells.

AIM: To explore whether a co-culture of cynomolgus monkey embryonic stem (cES) cells with embryonic liver cells could promote their differentiation into hepatocytes. METHODS: Mouse fetal liver-derived cells (MFLCs) were prepared as adherent cells from mouse embryos on embryonic d (ED) 14, after which undifferentiated cES cells were co-cultured with MFLCs. The induction of cES cells along a hepatic lineage was examined in MFLC- assisted differentiation, spontaneous differentiation, and growth factors (GF) and chemicals-induced differentiations (GF-induced differentiation) using retinoic acid, leukemia inhibitory factor (LIF), FGF2, FGF4, hepatocyte growth factor (HGF), oncostatin M (OSM), and dexamethasone. RESULTS: The mRNA expression of α-fetoprotein, albumin (ALB), α-1-antitrypsin, and hepatocyte nuclear factor 4α was observed earlier in the differentiating cES cells co-cultured with MFLCs, as compared to cES cells undergoing spontaneous differentiation and those subjected to GF-induced differentiation. The expression of cytochrome P450 7a1, a possible marker for embryonic endoderm-derived mature hepatocytes, was only observed in cES cells that had differentiated in a co-culture with MFLCs. Further, the disappearance of Oct3/4, a representative marker of an undifferentiated state, was noted in cells co-cultured with MFLCs, but not in those undergoing spontaneous or GF-induced differentiation. Immunocytochemical analysis revealed an increased ratio of ALB-immunopositive cells among cES cells co-cultured with MFLCs, while glycogen storageand urea synthesis were also demonstrated. CONCLUSION: MFLCs showed an ability to induce cES cells to differentiate toward hepatocytes. The co-culture system with MFLCs is a useful method for induction of hepatocyte-like cells from undifferentiated cES cells.

Hayabusa2 is a Japanese sample return mission from the near-Earth asteroid *** Hayabusa2 spacecraft was launched on December 3,2014,and reached the asteroid on June 27,*** remained there until November 13,2019 for in situ observation and soil sample collection and will return to the Earth in November or December *** its stay at the asteroid,Hayabusa2 performed descent operations 16 *** paper presents an overview of a guidance,navigation,and control method used in such descent *** method consists of on-board and on-ground guidance systems to control the spacecraft and an image-based navigation technique that uses a shape model and ground control points of the *** results in the first touchdown operation are shown as an example,which demonstrate that the method showed a good performance overall and contributed to the success of the mission.

Photosynthetic rate at the present atmospheric condition is limited by the CO2-fixing enzyme ribulose-1,5-bisphosphate carboxylase/oxygenase(Rubisco)because of its extremely low catalytic rate(kcat)and poor affinity for C02(Kc)and specificity for CO2(Sc/O).Rubisco in C4 plants generally shows higher k cat than that in C3 *** consists of eight large subunits and eight small subunits(RbcS).Previously,the chimeric incorporation of sorghum C4-type RbcS significantly increased the k cat of Rubisco in a C3 plant,*** this study,we knocked out rice RbcS multigene family using the CRISPR-Cas9 technology and completely replaced rice RbcS with sorghum RbcS in rice *** hybrid Rubisco showed almost C4 plant-like catalytic properties,i.e.,higher kcai,higher Kc,and lower Sc/*** lines expressing the hybrid Rubisco accumulated reduced levels of Rubisco,whereas they showed slightly but significantly higher photosynthetic capacity and similar biomass production under high C 02 condition compared with wild-type ***-resolution crystal structural analysis of the wild-type Rubisco and hybrid Rubisco revealed the structural differences around the central pore of Rubisco and the pC-pD hairpin in *** propose that such differences,particularly in the pC-pD hairpin,may impact the flexibility of Rubisco catalytic site and change its catalytic properties.

Glass/stainless steel porous composite body were prepared by the polyurethane sponge replica method using slurries containing mixture of SiO_2-RO/30 vol%*** porous samples were obtained which consists of well-distributed stainless steel particles within the glass *** a microstructure is desired for the purpose as a soot particulate filters(DPF)utilizing microwave rapid heating in cold start *** ability of the fabricated porous composite body was carried out placing the specimen in the maximum H-field of a 2.45 GHz single mode applicator. Heating behavior of the samples was mainly influenced by the volume fraction of stainless *** heating rate was observed for samples with higher stainless steel *** to the different microwave absorbability of the materials, stainless steel particle in the porous matrix structure was firstly heated up by microwave and transferred the heat energy throughout the whole *** of the fraction of the stainless steel particle in the matrix structure led the better heating;however the strength of the samples decreased.

A geomagnetic storm is a global disturbance of Earth?s magnetosphere,occurring as a result of the interaction with magnetic plasma ejected from the *** considerable research,a comprehensive classification of storms for a complete solar cycle has not yet been fully developed,as most previous studies have been limited to specific storm *** study,therefore,attempted to present complete statistics for solar cycle 24,detailing the occurrence of geomagnetic storm events and classifying them by type of intensity(moderate,intense,and severe),type of complete interval(normal or complex),duration of the recovery phase(rapid or long),and the number of steps in the storm?s *** analysis was applied to data from ground-based magnetometers,which measured the Dst index as provided by the World Data Center for Geomagnetism,Kyoto,*** study identified 211 storm events,comprising moderate(177 events),intense(33 events),and severe(1 event)*** 36%of ICMEs and 23%of CIRs are found to be geoeffective,which caused geomagnetic *** to four-step development of geomagnetic storms was exhibited during the main phase for this solar *** showed the geomagnetic storms developed one or more steps in the main phase,which were probably related to the driver that triggered the geomagnetic storms.A case study was additionally conducted to observe the variations of the ionospheric disturbance dynamo(Ddyn)phenomenon that resulted from the geomagnetic storm event of 2015July *** attenuation of the Ddyn in the equatorial region was analyzed using the H component of geomagnetic field data from stations in the Asian sector(Malaysia and India).The variations in the Ddyn signatures were observed at both stations,with the TIR station(India)showing higher intensity than the LKW station(Malaysia).
