Bac.ground Diets ric. in starc. have been shown to inc.ease a risk of reduc.ng milk fat c.ntent in dairy *** bile ac.ds(BAs)have been used as a lipid emulsifier in monogastric.and aquatic.animals,their effec. on ruminants is not well *** study aimed to investigate the impac. of BAs supplementation on various aspec.s of dairy goat physiology,inc.uding milk c.mposition,rumen fermentation,gut mic.obiota,and BA *** We randomly divided eighteen healthy primiparity lac.ating dairy goats(days in milk=100±6 d)into two groups and supplemented them with 0 or 4 g/d of BAs undergoing 5 weeks of feeding on a starc.-ric. *** results showed that BAs supplementation positively influenc.d milk yield and improved the quality of fatty ac.ds in goat *** supplementation led to a reduc.ion in saturated fatty ac.ds(c.6:0)and an inc.ease in monounsaturated fatty ac.ds(c.s-9 c.8:1),resulting in a healthier milk fatty ac.d *** observed a signific.nt inc.ease in plasma total bile ac.d c.nc.ntration while the proportion of rumen short-c.ain fatty ac.ds was not ***,BAs supplementation induc.d signific.nt c.anges in the c.mposition of the gut mic.obiota,favoring the enric.ment of spec.fic.bac.erial groups and altering the balanc. of mic.obial *** analysis revealed assoc.ations between spec.fic.bac.erial groups(Bac.llus and c.ristensenellac.ae R-7 group)and BA types,suggesting a role for the gut mic.obiota in BA *** predic.ion analysis revealed notable c.anges in pathways assoc.ated with lipid metabolism,suggesting that BAs supplementation has the potential to modulate lipid-related *** These findings highlight the potential benefits of BAs supplementation in enhanc.ng milk produc.ion,improving milk quality,and influenc.ng metabolic.pathways in dairy *** researc. is warranted to eluc.date the underlying mec.anisms and explore the broader implic.tions of these findi
