XOR spin logic operated by unipolar current based on field-free spin-orbit torque switching induced by a lateral interface

Spin logics have emerged as a promising avenue for the development of logic-in-memory *** particular,the realization of XOR spin logic gates using a single spin-orbit torque device shows great potential for low-power stateful logic circuits in the next *** this study,we successfully obtained the XOR logic gate by utilizing a spin-orbit torque device with a lateral interface,which was created by local ion implantation in the Ta/Pt/Co/Ta Hall device exhibiting perpendicular magnetic *** angle of the lateral interface is set at 45°relative to the current direction,leading to the competition between symmetry breaking and current-driven Néel-type domain wall ***,the field-free magnetic switching reversed is realized by the same sign of current amplitude at this *** on this field-free magnetic switching behavior,we successfully proposed an XOR logic gate that could be implemented using only a single spin-orbit torque Hall *** study provides a potentially viable approach toward efficient spin logics and in-memory computing architectures.

Photopromoted methoxycarbonylation of olefin with methyl formate by Co(OAc)2

The photopromoted methoxycarbonylation of olefin with methyl formate catalyzed by Co（OAc）2 at ambient conditions has been carried out. The results indicated that the reaction activity increased with the increasing temperature. Methyl formate decomposed into CO and CH3OH firstly under irradiation, and then the methoxycarbonylation of olefin proceeded under catalysis of Co（OAc）2. The mechanism of methyl formate participating in the methoxycarbonylation is verified by the IR analysis and the labeling experiments of CDHOD and CH3^18OH.

Effect of Progestin-primed Ovarian Stimulation Protocol on Outcomes of Aged Infertile Women Who Failed to Get Pregnant in the First IVF/ ICSI Cycle： A Self-controlled Study

This study aimed to explore the outcomes of progestin-primed ovarian stimulation protocol （PPOS） in aged infertile women who failed to get pregnant in the first IVF/ICSI-ET cycles with GnRH-a long protocol. A self-controlled study was conducted to retrospectively investigate the clinical outcomes of 104 aged infertile patients who didn＇t get pregnant in the first IVF/ICSI-ET treatment by stimulating with GnRH-a long protocol （non-PPOS group）, and underwent PPOS protocol （PPOS group） in the second cycle between January 2016 and December 2016 in the Center for Reproductive Medicine, Renmin Hospital of Wuhan University. The primary outcomes included clinical pregnancy rate of frozen-thawed embryos transfer （FET） in PPOS group, and good-quality embryo rate in both groups. The secondary outcomes were fertilization rate, egg utilization rate and cycle cancellation rate. The results showed that there were no significant differences in basal follicle stimulating hormone （bFSH）, antral follicle count （AFC）, duration and total dosage of gonadotropin （Gn）, number of oocytes retrieved, intracytoplasmic sperm injection （ICSI） rate, fertilization rate, and cycle cancellation rate between the two groups （P〉0.05）. However, the oocyte utilization rate and good-quality embryo rate in PPOS group were significantly higher than those in non-PPOS group （P〈0.05）. By the end of April 2017, 62 FET cycles were conducted in PPOS group. The clinical pregnancy rate and embryo implantation rate were 22.58% and 12.70%, respectively. In conclusion, PPOS protocol may provide better clinical outcomes by improving the oocyte utilization rate and good-quality embryo rate for aged infertile patients who failed to get pregnant in the first IVF/ ICSI-ET cycles.

Improved Fertility Following Enucleation of Intramural Myomas in Infertile Women

Background：The relationship between intramural myomas and fertility remains *** main debate rests on whether cavity-distorting intramural lnyomas （CDMs） adversely affect fertility more than *** aimed to compare the effects ofenucleating non-CDMs and CDMs on fertility improvement in females with unexplained ***：We prospectively recruited 83 women undergoing myomectomy for unexplained infertility with intramural myomas between June 2008 and November 2012 and classified them into non-CDMs group （n =45） and CDMs group （n =38）.We then compared postoperative infertility rates,spontaneous pregnancy rates,pregnancy outcomes,live birth rates,and obstetric *** continuous variables,we calculated the mean ± standard deviation,median and interquartile range,and analyzed the data using Student＇s t-test and the Mann-Whitney *** categorical variables,the Pearson＇s Chi-square test,the continuity correction test,and Fisher＇s exact test were ***：Patients＇ demographics and myoma characteristics were comparable between the two *** overall spontaneous pregnancy rate increased from 0% to 68.42% following *** postoperative infertility rate was significantly higher in the non-CDMs group than that in the CDMs group （50.00% vs.23.53%,t =5.579,P =0.018）,whereas the postoperative spontaneous pregnancy rate was significantly lower in the non-CDMs group than that in the CDMs group （47.62% vs.70.59%,t 4.067,P =0.044）.Compared with the enucleation ofnon-CDM,the enucleation of CDM patients was a protective factor for the fertility restoration （risk ratio [RR] =3.717,95% confidence interval [CI]：1.284-10.753,P =0.015）,although postoperative fertility restoration declined with age （RR =1.141,95% CI：1.005-1.295,P =0.041）.Conclusions：Intramural myomas are associated with impaired *** experiencing unexplained infertility,and possessing intramural myomas,have a better chance of conception following myomectomy,and t

Dear Editor,We report a case of severe hemorrhagic Descemet’s membrane detachment(HDD)following ab external360-degree suture trabeculotomy with trabeculectomy that was successfully managed with the guidance of bedside anterior segment optical coherence tomography(ASOCT).Descemet’s membrane detachment(DMD)is a complication that impairs vision and is commonly observed after cataract ***’s reported a high incidence(25%-82%)of focal DMD that were mostly subclinical and detected only with gonioscopy[1].

Glycogenic hepatopathy:A narrative review

Glycogenic hepatopathy(GH) is a rare complication of the poorly controlled diabetes mellitus characterized by the transient liver dysfunction with elevated liver enzymes and associated hepatomegaly caused by the reversible accumulation of excess glycogen in the hepatocytes. It is predominantly seen in patients with longstanding type 1 diabetes mellitus and rarely reported in association with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Although it was first observed in the pediatric population, since then, it has been reported in adolescents and adults with or without ketoacidosis. The association of GH with hyperglycemia in diabetes has not been well established. One of the essential elements in the pathophysiology of development of GH is the wide fluctuation in both glucose and insulin levels. GH and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD) are clinically indistinguishable, and latter is more prevalent in diabetic patients and can progress to advanced liver disease and cirrhosis. Gradient dual-echo MRI can distinguish GH from NAFLD; however, GH can reliably be diagnosed only by liver biopsy. Adequate glycemic control can result in complete remission of clinical, laboratory and histological abnormalities. There has been a recent report of varying degree of liver fibrosis identified in patients with GH. Future studies are required to understand the biochemical defects underlying GH, noninvasive, rapid diagnostic tests for GH, and to assess the consequence of the fibrosis identified as severe fibrosis may progress to cirrhosis. Awareness of this entity in the medical community including specialists is low. Here we briefly reviewed the English literature on pathogenesis involved, recent progress in the evaluation, differential diagnosis, and management.

Photopromoted carbonylation of 1-bromo-6-chlorohexane under ambient conditions

Photopromoted carbonylation of 1-bromo-6-chlorohexane with CO catalyzed by CuBr2 and CdI2 has been carried out under ambient conditions. The results indicate that the carbonylation proceeds with the major product of chloroester ClCH2（CH2）5COOCH3 under catalysis of CuBr2. Furthermore, the activity of the carbonylation can be improved by addition of basic additives （NaOAc, Na3PO4 or （n-C4H9）3N）. Among these additives, （n-C4H9）3N is the most efficient in terms of the yield of ClCH2（CH2）5COOCH3. However, the methoxycarbonyl substituting chlorine product of BrCH2（CH2）5COOCH3 is not obtained in the presence of CdI2. This is quite different from the carbonylation of monochloroalkane.

Cobalt-catalyzed photopromoted carbonylation of chloroalkanes in the presence of KI

The photopromoted carbonylation of chloroalkanes with carbon monoxide catalyzed by cobalt compounds[Co（OAc）2,CoCl2] in the presence of KI was carried out under ambient *** results revealed that the catalytic activity of Co（OAc）2 was higher than that of CoCl2.A basic additive NaOAc was beneficial to the ***,with NaOAc as an additive, Co（OAc）2 and CoCl2 exhibited similar catalytic *** work showed that the role of iodide ion was initially to form active iodoalkanes via substituting chloride ion in chloroalkanes in situ,and then,the carbonylation of iodoalkanes proceeded under irradiation.
