General reductions in lubricant viscosities and increasing loads in machine components highlight the role of tribofilms in providing surface protection against ***,the relationship between the scuffing process and the growth and removal of tribofilm is not well *** this study,a multiphysics coupling model,which includes hydrodynamic lubrication,asperity contact,thermal effect,tribochemistry reaction,friction,and surface wear,was developed to capture the initiation of surface *** and experiments for a piston ring and cylinder liner contact were conducted following a step-load sequence under different temperature *** results show that high temperature and extreme load could induce the lubricant film collapse,which in turn triggers the breakdown of the tribofilm due to the significantly increased removal *** failures of both lubricant film and tribofilm progress instantaneously in a coupling way,which finally leads to severe scuffing.

Stimuli-responsive smart materials exhibit reverse chemical/physical changes in response to external stimuli and research on stimuli-responsive smart materials with self-powered properties is still uncultivated ***,we report perovskite crystalline self-powered multiple stimuli-responsive materials triggered by chemical and thermal stimuli.[HMEP]PbI_(3)·(H_(2)O)(1;HMEP is a hydroxytris(1-methylethyl)phosphorus cation)crystallizes in a chiral space group P 21 at 293 K and has the piezoelectric reaction(d_(33)=10 pC/N and output voltage=1 V)of self-powered modes,this value is larger than the value of 3 pC/N for the classical piezoelectric material *** materials can generate energy due to mechanical deformation,and using thermal heating to lose water,[HMEP]PbI_(3)(2)can be obtained.2 crystallizes in the non-centrosymmetric space group,undergoes two reversible phase transitions at 243/255 K and 315/348 K,and shows second harmonic generation ***,2 can return to the hydrated form 1 after absorbing *** work will lay the foundation for self-powered stimuli-responsive compounds and contribute to the construction of novel organic-inorganic hybrid materials with second harmonic generation switching.

The configuration and quality of reinforcements, as well as the robustness of interfacial bonding,holding a critical significance in determining the concurrence between electrical conductivity and mechanical strength in metal matrix composites. In this study, citric acid was employed as the precursor for synthesizing multiscale carbon nanomaterials(graphene quantum dots and graphene, abbreviated as GQDs and GN). The GQDs@GN/Cu composites were fabricated through a segmented ball milling process in conjunction with subsequent spark plasma sintering(SPS). The intragranular GQDs and intergranular GQDs@GN had synergistically reinforced Cu composites through Orowan strengthening, load transfer strengthening and refinement strengthening. Furthermore,the robust interface bonding between GQDs@GN and Cu effectively mitigated interfacial impedance stemming from electron-boundary scattering. The yield strength and ultimate tensile strength of the GQDs@GN/Cu composites were recorded as 270 and 314 MPa, respectively, representing an improvement of 92 and 28% over pure Cu, while maintaining electrical conductivity at a level comparable to that of pure Cu. This study advances the understanding of the possibility of realizing a synergistic compatibility between electrical conductivity and mechanical strength in Cu composites.

Parasporins(PSs) represent a novel functional category of crystal proteins(Cry) produced by non-insecticidal Bacillus thuringiensis. A distinct feature for PSs is their specific cytotoxicity against human cancer cells from diverse origins, other than hemolytic or insecticidal activity. As structurally/functionally Cry proteins, parasporins are expressed as protoxins that require protease cleavage for activation. Currently,identified PSs is classified into 6 groups: PS1, PS2, PS3, PS4, PS5 and PS6, which are heterogeneous in cytotoxic spectrum and activity level. Some PSs have been explored for their mode of anticancer activities, reports mainly include pore formation induced by binding to putative receptors on cell membrane and apoptosis by intracellular Ca2+concentration. Further work should focus on the identification of new PS or PS homologs and better understanding of their anticancer mechanism before possible application in cancer therapy.

The intelligent electronic devices have urgent demands for electromagnetic interference(EMI)shielding films with excellent heat dissipation ***,it is challenging to obtain excellent EMI shielding and thermal conductivity performances ***,inspired by mille-feuille structure,the multifunctional EMI shielding films developed by a layer-by-layer self-assembly and hot-pressing *** ingenious introduction of silver nanoparticles(AgNPs)with large specific surface area and highly conductive into the network formed by TEMPO-oxidized cellulose nanofibrils(TOCNFs)with large aspect ratio to form the TOCNFs/*** the graphene nanoplates(GNPs)with high conductivity loss distributed alternately with TOCNFs/AgNPs to construct mille-feuille structure,which had highly efficient conductive network,complete thermally conduction pathway and rich heterogeneous ***,the designed films presented high electrical conductivity of 8520 S/cm,superb EMI effectiveness(SE)of 98.05 dB,and excellent thermal conductivity of 18.82 W/(m·K).Furthermore,the films possessed outstanding Joule heating performances with low voltages,including high heating temperature(100℃),fast response time(<20 s),and impressive heating stability and ***,such high-performance EMI shielding films with fascinating thermal conductivity and Joule heating performances have substantial application in flexible electronics,electromagnetic waves shielding and thermal management.

BACKGROUND Treatment of postoperative anastomotic stenosis for colorectal cancer is often challenging,especially for patients who do not respond well to *** cases where patients have undergone an enterostomy,the stenosis can be easily resolved through magnetic ***,common magnetic compre-ssion techniques cannot be performed on those without *** design-ed a novel Y–Z deformable magnetic ring(Y–Z DMR)and successfully applied it to a patient with a stenosis rectal anastomosis and without enterostomy after rectal cancer *** SUMMARY We here report the case of a 57-year-old woman who had undergone a laparo-scopic radical rectum resection(Dixon)for rectal ***,she started facing difficulty in defecation 6 months after *** colonoscopy indicated stenosis of the rectal *** balloon dilation was performed six times on ***,the stenosis still showed a trend of gradual *** the patient did not undergo an enterostomy,the conventional endoscopic magnetic compression technique could not be ***,we imple-mented a Y–Z DMR implemented through the anus under single *** magnetic ring fell off nine days after the operation and the rectal stenosis was *** patient was followed up for six months and reported good *** The Y–Z DMR deformable magnetic ring is an excellent treatment strategy for patients with rectal stenosis and without enterostomy.
