Phototropism of Thalli and Rhizoids Developed from the Thallus Segments of Bryopsis hypnoides Lamouroux

Newly regenerated thalli were used to study the phototropism of Bryopsis hypnoides Lamouroux under different qualities of light. Positive phototropism in the thalli and negative phototropiam In the rhizoida of B. hypnoides were investigated and analyzed in terms of bending. Both thaiii and rhlzoids developed from thallus segments exhibited typical tip growth, and their photoreceptive sites for phototroplam were also restricted to the apical hemisphere. The bending curvature of rhizoids and thalli were determined with unilateral lights at various wavelengths and different fluence rates after a fixed duration of Illumination. The trends of bending from the rhizoid and thallus were coincident, which showed that the action spectrum had a large range, from ultraviolet radiation （366.5 nm） to green light （524 nm）. Based on the bending curvatures, blue light had the highest efficiency, while the efficiency of longer wavelengths （〉500 nm） was significantly lower. External Ca^2＋ had no effect on the bending curvature of thalli and rhlzolda. Blue light （440 nm） induced thallus branching from rhizoids, while red light （650 nm） had no such effect. Fast-occurring chloroplast accumulation In the outermost cytoplasmic layer of the blue light （440 nm）-Irradiated region In the rhizoid was observed, from which protrusions （new thalli） arose after 4 h of the onset of illumination, and this action was thought to be driven by the dynamics of actin microfilamenta.

Experimental demonstration of switching entangled photons based on the Rydberg blockade effect

The long-range interaction between Rydberg-excited atoms endows a medium with large optical ***,we demonstrate an optical switch to operate on a single photon from an entangled photon pair under a Rydberg electromagnetically induced transparency *** the presence of the Rydberg blockade effect,we switch on a gate field to make the atomic medium nontransparent thereby absorbing the single photon emitted from another atomic ensemble via the spontaneous fourwave mixing *** contrast to the case without a gate field,more than 50%of the photons sent to the switch are blocked,and finally achieve an effective single-photon *** are on average 1-2 gate photons per effective blockade sphere in one gate *** switching effect on a single entangled photon depends on the principal quantum number and the photon number of the gate *** experimental progress is significant in the quantum information process especially in controlling the interaction between Rydberg atoms and entangled photon pairs.

High-entropy alloy nanoparticles(HEA-NPs) have recently sparked great interest in materials science. Their solidsolution states, derived from distinct HEA configurations, make them promising candidates for catalysts with exceptional activity, stability, and tunable performance. However, a comprehensive understanding of the underlying mechanisms governing their electrocatalytic behavior is still lacking, hindering the rational design of HEA electrocatalysts. This review summarizes the fundamental knowledge of HEA-NPs, including the structureactivity correlations of HEA-NPs, diverse synthesis strategies, and applications in electrochemical catalysis. The design strategies for guiding improvements in tunable performance were highlighted. The article concludes with insights, perspectives, and future directions, encapsulating the state-of-the-art knowledge and paving the way for further exploration in this dynamic field.

WRF Environment Assessment in Guangzhou City with an Extracted Land-use Map from the Remote Sensing Data in 2000 as an Example

Mesoscale urban environment forecast combined with WRF is a current frontier in international academic. Taking Guangzhou as an example,the new land-use model presented by the present authors,the existing USGS and MODIS models in WRF were firstly compared to the remote sensing model in this *** comparison result shows that the land-use model presented by the authors has the highest similarity with the remote sensing data. Secondly,the new land-use model was used to replace the defaulted land-use data in WRF for simulation. By comparing this simulation results with the WRF results using the defaulted USGS and MODIS model,it was showed that the geographic models have a great impact on the mesoscale environment forecast result. Also,the geographic information model presented in this article shows the best accuracy when comparing with the observation data. Results in this study are going to be an important reference in the contemporary international forefront of mesoscale urban environment studies by WRF.

Distributed H∞ Filtering with Consensus Strategies in Sensor Networks： Considering Consensus Tracking Error

The existing distributed H∞ filtering with consensus strategies consists of two steps: the consensus step through locally communicating with neighboring sensor nodes and the local filtering step. In this paper, the influence of consensus tracking error on the local estimation error is analyzed, and a distributed H∞ filtering algorithm considering the consensus tracking error is proposed. When the number of consensus iterations per sampling period is limited, the proposed method can suppress the effect of consensus tracking error on local estimation error; when the number of consensus iterations per sampling period goes to infinity, i.e., the consensus tracking error converges to zero, the local filtering in the distributed algorithm reduces to the centralized H∞ filtering. Simulation shows the effectiveness of the proposed method.

By applying two donor-acceptor motif molecules,5,10-di(pyridin-4-yl)-5,10-dihydrophenazine(L1)and 10,10'-di(pyridin-3-yl)-10H,10'H-9,9'-spiroacridine(L2),as ligands and CuI/AgCF3CO2 as metal salt,we synthesized three coordination polymers,namely,{Cu4(L1)2I4}(CP1),{Cu(L2)I·CHCl3}(CP2)and{Ag(L2)CO2CF3·CHCl3}(CP3).X-ray crystallographic analysis revealed that three coordination polymers all feature one-dimensional(1D)linear chains which are consisting of molecular boxlike *** comparison with low photoluminescence quantum yield(PLQY)of two ligands,three coordination polymers,CP1,CP2 and CP3,present more intense photoluminescence with PLQY of 15%,46%and 34%at room temperature *** PL emission of CP1 and CP2 at room temperature could be attributed to the fast phosphorescence with lifetime both around 5 ms due to effective intersystem crossing(ISC).Whilst,it is worth noting that CP3 exhibit thermally activated delayed fluorescence(TADF)emission at room temperature.

Influence of Pre-deformation on Aging Precipitation Behavior of Three Al–Cu–Li Alloys

The influence of pre-deformation on aging precipitates of three near peak-aged Al–Cu–Li alloys,1460 alloy with a low Cu/Li ratio（1.46）,2050 alloy with a high Cu/Li ratio（4.51） and 2A96 alloy with a medium Cu/Li ratio（2.97）,was *** strength of the aged alloys is enhanced by the *** effectiveness of pre-deformation on precipitates is dependent on the alloy＇s *** increasing the pre-deformation,the population density of T1（Al2Cu Li） precipitates increases in all three Al–Cu–Li alloys and their diameter decreases in 2050 and 2A96 alloys,and the greatest effectiveness is observed in 2A96 *** pre-deformation also increases the population density of θ＇（Al2Cu）precipitates and decreases their diameter in 2050 and 2A96 Al–Li alloys,but the effectiveness is smaller compared to that on T1 *** 1460 alloy subjected to two-step aging at 130 ℃ for 20 h followed by 160 ℃ for 12 h,the main precipitates are δ＇（Al3Li）.At 2%–6% pre-deformation,GP-I zones form and pre-deformation displays little *** percentage pre-deformation promotes θ＇＇/θ＇ precipitation and increases their population density.

Investigation of the potential therapeutic mechanisms of drug candidates is an essential step in the process of new drug *** the rapid development of systems biology,recent network analyses of proteins,drugs,and diseases have enabled great progress in delineating the molecule mechanisms of drug ***,most analyses perform a direct association between gene/protein and disease levels without considering the intermediate biological pathways regulated by the *** that a protein performs its biological roles through pathways,we propose using a novel pathway-pathway network analysis to investigate the potential therapeutic functions of the drug *** studies have demonstrated that salvianolic acid B(SalB) of Salvia miltiorrhiza is an effective therapy for cardiovascular diseases(CVD).Using molecular docking methods to identify direct interacting targets of Sal B,we collected all Sal B-regulated proteins with supporting experimental evidence in PubMed ***-approved CVD drugs and their corresponding targets were also *** a traditional drug-protein network analysis,we found that Sal B could affect ACE and REN of the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system to relax vessels and alleviate *** pathway-pathway network analysis was attempted to study the mechanisms of Sal B in treating CVD,and demonstrated that Sal B regulates immunity/inflammation,apoptosis,ion transport and basic metabolism processes in the treatment of *** the immune/inflammation process may be the major mechanism of Sal *** believe that pathwaypathway network analysis is a novel method for studying the therapeutic mechanisms of herbal ingredients.

Development of Overpressure in the Tertiary Damintun Depression, Liaohe Basin, Northern China

The Damintun depression is one of the four depressions in the Liaohe basin in northern China, and is a rift basin developed in the Paleogene. This paper discusses in detail the characteristics of pressure and fluid potential of the Damintun depression based on a synthesis of the data from boreholes, well tests and seismic surveys. Data from sonic logs, well tests and seismic velocity measurements are used to study the pressure characteristics of the areas. From the sonic log data, shales can be characterized as normally pressured, slightly overpressured or highly overpressured; from the well test data, the pressure-depth gradient in oil-producing intervals implies hydrostatic pressure in general. Most seismic profiles in the Damintun depression are of sufficiently high quality for seismic velocities to be measured. The fluid pressures, excess pressures and pressure coefficients in 47 representative seismic profiles are predicted using formula calculation methods, and further transformed to fluid potenti
