Five novel(9,10-dihydro)phenanthrene and bibenzyl trimers,as well as two previously identified biphenanthrenes and bibenzyls,were isolated from the tubers of Bletilla striata.Their structures were elucidated through comprehensive analyses of NMR and HRESIMS spectroscopic data.The absolute configurations of these compounds were determined by calculating rotational energy barriers and comparison of experimental and calculated ECD curves.Compounds 5b and 6 exhibited inhibitory effects on LPS-induced NO production in BV-2 cells,with IC_(50) values of 12.59±0.40 and 15.59±0.83μmol·L^(-1),respectively.A mechanistic study suggested that these compounds may attenuate neuroinflammation by reducing the activation of the AKT/IκB/NF-κB signaling pathway.Additionally,compounds 3a,6,and 7 demonstrated significant PTP1B inhibitory activities,with IC_(50) values of 1.52±0.34,1.39±0.11,and 1.78±0.01μmol·L^(-1),respectively.Further investigation revealed that compound 3a might inhibit LPS-induced PTP1B overexpression and NF-κB activation,thereby mitigating the neuroinflammatory response in BV-2 cells.

Stability analysis of tunnel face reinforced with face bolts

Face bolting has been widely utilized to enhance the stability of tunnel face,particularly in soft soil tunnels.However,the influence of bolt reinforcement and its layout on tunnel face stability has not been systematically studied.Based on the theory of linear elastic mechanics,this study delved into the specific mechanisms of bolt reinforcement on the tunnel face in both horizontal and vertical dimensions.It also identified the primary failure types of bolts.Additionally,a design approach for tunnel face bolts that incorporates spatial layout was established using the limit equilibrium method to enhance the conventional wedge-prism model.The proposed model was subsequently validated through various means,and the specific influence of relevant bolt design parameters on tunnel face stability was analyzed.Furthermore,design principles for tunnel face bolts under different geological conditions were presented.The findings indicate that bolt failure can be categorized into three stages:tensile failure,pullout failure,and comprehensive failure.Increasing cohesion,internal friction angle,bolt density,and overlap length can effectively enhance tunnel face stability.Due to significant variations in stratum conditions,tailored design approaches based on specific failure stages are necessary for bolt design.

Short-term(up to 30 days)predictions of Earth Rotation Parameters(ERPs)such as Polar Motion(PM:PMX and PMY)play an essential role in real-time applications related to high-precision reference frame conversion.Currently,least squares(LS)+auto-regressive(AR)hybrid method is one of the main techniques of PM prediction.Besides,the weighted LS+AR hybrid method performs well for PM short-term prediction.However,the corresponding covariance information of LS fitting residuals deserves further exploration in the AR model.In this study,we have derived a modified stochastic model for the LS+AR hybrid method,namely the weighted LS+weighted AR hybrid method.By using the PM data products of IERS EOP 14 C04,the numerical results indicate that for PM short-term forecasting,the proposed weighted LS+weighted AR hybrid method shows an advantage over both the LS+AR hybrid method and the weighted LS+AR hybrid method.Compared to the mean absolute errors(MAEs)of PMX/PMY sho rt-term prediction of the LS+AR hybrid method and the weighted LS+AR hybrid method,the weighted LS+weighted AR hybrid method shows average improvements of 6.61%/12.08%and 0.24%/11.65%,respectively.Besides,for the slopes of the linear regression lines fitted to the errors of each method,the growth of the prediction error of the proposed method is slower than that of the other two methods.

Accurate ultra-short-term prediction of the Earth rotation parameters(ERP) holds paramount importance for real-time applications, particularly in reference frame conversion. Among them, diurnal rotation(UT1-UTC) which cannot be directly estimated through Global Navigation Satellite System(GNSS)techniques, significantly affects the rapid and ultra-rapid orbit determination of GNSS satellites. Presently, the traditional LS(least squares) + AR(autoregressive) and LS + MAR(multivariate autoregressive)hybrid methods stand as primary approaches for UT1-UTC ultra-short-term predictions(1-10 days). The LS + MAR hybrid method relies on the UT1-UTC and LOD(length of day) series. However, the correlation between LOD and first-order-difference UT1-UTC is stronger than that between LOD and UT1-UTC. In light of this, and with the aid of the first-order-difference UT1-UTC, we propose an enhanced LS + MAR hybrid method to UT1-UTC ultra-short-term prediction. By using the UT1-UTC and LOD data series of the IERS(International Earth Rotation and Reference Systems Service) EOP 14 C04 product, we conducted a thorough analysis and evaluation of the improved method's prediction performance compared to the traditional LS + AR and LS + MAR hybrid methods. According to the numerical results over more than210 days, they demonstrate that, when considering the correlation information between the LOD and the first-order-difference UT1-UTC, the mean absolute errors(MAEs) of the improved LS + MAR hybrid method range from 21 to 934 μs in 1-10 days predictions. In comparison to the traditional LS + AR hybrid method, the MAEs show a reduction of 7-53 μs in 1-10 days predictions, with corresponding improvement percentages ranging from 1 to 28%. Similarly, when compared to the traditional LS + MAR hybrid method, the MAEs have a reduction of 5-42 μs in 1-10 days predictions, with corresponding improvement percentages ranging from 4-20%. BACKGROUND The strategy for preventing colorectal cancer is screening by colonoscopy,which offers a direct way for detection and removal of adenomatous polyps(APs).American College of Gastroenterology guidelines recommend that people aged≥45 years should undergo colonoscopy;however,how to deal with people aged≤45 years is still unknown.AIM To compare the prevalence of APs and high-grade neoplasia between the left and right colon in patients≤45 years.METHODS A retrospective observational study was conducted at a single tertiary III hospital in China.This study included patients aged 18-45 years with undergoing initial colonoscopy dissection and pathological diagnosis AP or high-grade neoplasia between February 2014 and January 2021.The number of APs in the entire colon while screening and post-polypectomy surveillance in following 1-3 years were evaluated.RESULTS A total of 3053 cases were included.The prevalence of APs in the left and right colon was 55.0%and 41.6%,respectively(OR 1.7,95%CI 1.6-2.4;Pyears.There were 327 patients who voluntarily participated in post-polypectomy surveillance in following 1-3 years,and APs were found in 216 cases(66.1%);170 cases had 1-3 polyps(52.0%)and 46 cases had>3 polyps(14.1%;OR 0.3,95%CI 0.1-0.6;Pyears and would be a more cost-effective and safe strategy.

C-Oligosaccharides are rare in nature and possess diverse bioactivities.However,their chemical synthesis faces many challenges.In this work,enzymatic introduction of C-linked sugar chains to target aglycones was successfully achieved by multi-enzymatic cascade reactions.A C-glycosyltransferase from Aloe barbadensis was employed to introduce the first C-linked glucose and then a cyclomaltodextrin glucanotransferase from Bacillus licheniformis was used to extend the sugar chain.A total of twenty C-oligosaccharides with 2-6 sugars were synthesized from scale-up reactions and exhibited good water solubility and sodium-dependent glucose transporter 2(SGLT2)inhibitory activity.Furthermore,a glucoamylase was used to control the length of the sugar chain and the C-maltosides were efficiently synthesized.These findings not only expanded the structural diversity of C-oligosaccharides,but also provided a strategy for the modification of C-glycoside drugs to improve the druggability.

Investigation of the block toppling evolution of a layered model slope by centrifuge test and discrete element modeling

Primary toppling usually occurs in layered rock slopes with large anti-dip angles.In this paper,the block toppling evolution was explored using a large-scale centrifuge system.Each block column in the layered model slope was made of cement mortar.Some artificial cracks perpendicular to the block column were prefabricated.Strain gages,displacement gages,and high-speed camera measurements were employed to monitor the deformation and failure processes of the model slope.The centrifuge test results show that the block toppling evolution can be divided into seven stages,i.***.layer compression,formation of major tensile crack,reverse bending of the block column,closure of major tensile crack,strong bending of the block column,formation of failure zone,and complete failure.Block toppling is characterized by sudden large deformation and occurs in stages.The wedge-shaped cracks in the model incline towards the slope.Experimental observations show that block toppling is mainly caused by bending failure rather than by shear failure.The tensile strength also plays a key factor in the evolution of block toppling.The simulation results from discrete element method(DEM)is in line with the testing results.Tensile stress exists at the backside of rock column during toppling deformation.Stress concentration results in the fragmented rock column and its degree is the most significant at the slope toe.

Dynamic Effect of Landslides Triggered by Earthquake:A Case Study in Moxi Town of Luding County,China

The dynamic effect is a very important issue widely debated by scholars when studying the genetic and disaster-causing mechanisms of earthquake-triggered landslides.First,the dynamic effect mechanism and phenomena of earthquake-triggered landslides were summarized in this paper.Then,the primary types of dynamic effects were further used to interpret the Mogangling landslide in Moxi Town of Luding County,China.A field investigation,remote sensing,numerical calculation and theoretical analysis were carried out to illustrate the failure mechanism of slope rock masses affected by earthquakes.The interaction between seismic waves and slope rock masses and the induced dynamic effect of slope rock masses were primarily accounted for in the analysis.The slope topography,rock mass weathering and unloading characteristics,river erosion,regional seismogenic structure,and rock mass structure characteristics were also discussed.The results showed that the formation of the Mogangling landslide was mainly related to the high amplification effect of seismic acceleration and back slope effects,interface dynamic stress effects,and double-sided slope effects of seismic waves caused by the catastrophic Ms 7.75 Moxi Earthquake in 1786.The principles for the site and route selection of large-scale infrastructure in the planning stage and the scientific prevention of seismic geological disasters were proposed on the basis of the dynamic effect of earthquake-induced landslides.

In the coming decades,the space-based gravitational-wave(GW)detectors such as Taiji,TianQin,and LISA are expected to form a network capable of detecting millihertz GWs emitted by the mergers of massive black hole binaries(MBHBs).In this work,we investigate the potential of GW standard sirens from the Taiji-TianQin-LISA network in constraining cosmological parameters.For the optimistic scenario in which electromagnetic(EM)counterparts can be detected,we predict the number of detectable bright sirens based on three different MBHB population models,i.e.,popⅢ,Q3d,and Q3nod.Our results show that the TaijiTianQin-LISA network alone could achieve a constraint precision of 0.9%for the Hubble constant,meeting the standard of precision cosmology.Moreover,the Taiji-TianQin-LISA network could effectively break the cosmological parameter degeneracies generated by the CMB data,particularly in the dynamical dark energy models.When combined with the CMB data,the joint CMB+Taiji-TianQin-LISA data offerσ(w)=0.036 in the wCDM model,which is close to the latest constraint result obtained from the CMB+SN data.We also consider a conservative scenario in which EM counterparts are not available.Due to the precise sky localizations of MBHBs by the Taiji-TianQin-LISA network,the constraint precision of the Hubble constant is expected to reach 1.2%.In conclusion,the GW standard sirens from the Taiji-TianQin-LISA network will play a critical role in helping solve the Hubble tension and shedding light on the nature of dark energy.

To understand the mechanical response pattern of the existing structure and ground due to the construction of metro tunnels underneath,the finite difference method is adopted to study the torsional deformation and stress variation of the existing structure and the effect of underground carriageway structures on the surface subsidence.The curves of the maximum differential subsidence,torsion angle,and distortion of the cross-section of the existing structure show two peaks in succession during traversing of two metro tunnels beneath it.The torsion angle of the existing structure changes when the two tunnels traverse beneath it in opposite directions.The first traversing of the shield tunnel mainly induces the magnitude variation in torsional deformation of the existing structure,but the second traversing of the subsurface tunnel may cause a dynamic change in the magnitude and form of torsional deformation in the existing structure.The shielding effect can reduce the surface subsidence caused by metro tunnel excavation to a certain extent,and the development trend of subsidence becomes slower as the excavation continues.
