Magma Origin and Evolution of Tengchong Cenozoic Volcanic Rocks from West Yunnan,China:Evidence from Whole Rock Geochemistry and Nd-Sr-Pb Isotopes

Tengchong Cenozoic volcanics that have record key information on the tectonic evolution and mantle features of the southeast margin of the Tibetan Plateau are of great importance because of its unique eruption history spanning the entire Quaternary period. Magma origin and evolution of Tengchong Cenozoic volcanic rocks were studied on the basis of Nd-Sr-Pb isotope and major and trace element data from different eruptions in the Ma＇anshan area. Different samples within one eruption show relative identical lithologies, chemical and isotopic compositions. However, the geochemical features for the five eruptions are distinct from each other. These volcanic rocks show low Mg# values （〈45）, moderate to high fractionation of LREEs and HREEs, and enrichment of Pb and Ba and depletion of Nb. Tengchong Cenozoic volcanic rocks were derived from an enriched mantle based on Nd-Sr-Pb isotopic studies. And lines of evidence show that crustal contamination should be involved before the eruption of different periods of Tengchong Cenozoic volcanic rocks. Older subducted components may be responsible for adakite recycling at various stages of evolution, which results in the origin of the enriched mantle source magma accounting for the isotopic features of Tengchong Cenozoic volcanic rocks. Segregated primitive magma pulsating injected into magma chamber, fractional crystallized and contaminated with crust component. Finally, magmas with distinct chemical and isotopic compositions for each eruption formed. The extension of the northeast segment of the Yingjiang tectonic belt triggered the pulsating eruption of the Cenozoic volcanics in the Tengchong area.

Can increased economic complexity and reduced carbon emissions of the logistics industry go hand in hand?Evidence from countries along the Belt and Road

At present,the main focus of research lies in examining the connection between economic complexity and carbon emissions as a whole,but there is a scarcity of quantitative investigations on the link between the above variables within specific ***,this study introduces economic complexity as a new variable to build a panel model within the traditional Environmental Kuznets Curve *** on the data of the countries along the Belt and Road from 1998 to 2018,we used the Granger causality test to examine the causal relationship between variables,and use the Fully Modified Ordinary Least Square and Dynamic Ordinary Least Square methods to estimate the coefficients of *** key factor linking economic complexity and carbon emissions in the logistics industry is technology innovation Economic complexity can explain and predict the changes in carbon emissions of logistics industry more reasonably,and the relationship between them in line with the environmental kuznets curve *** high-income countries can increase economic complexity while reducing carbon emissions of logistics *** on the empirical analysis,it is suggested that upper-middle income and lower middle-income countries can formulate relevant policies and regulations,and high-income countries can improve the relevant policies and regulations to promote the reduction of carbon emissions of the logistics *** the impact of economic complexity on carbon emissions in the logistics industry can help better predict and respond to the impact of climate change on the logistics industry.

Estimation of earthquake losses by using macroeconomic approach

Most earthquake loss studies use an inventory approach by which the predicted damages in various categories of structures and facilities in a concerned region are estimated and added together to obtain the total estimated. Such an approach requires a detailed inventory database of the structures and facilities in the region, which is not always readily available in many regions of the world. Therefore, an alternative means of estimating earthquake losses is used based on several macroeconomic indices such as the gross domestic product (GDP) and population. Based on the published earthquake loss data during 1980—1995, the relations between GDP and earthquake losses have been formulated empirically for several intensity ranges. The world’s land surface was divided into unit cells with 0.5°×0.5°in size, the GDP of each cell was apportioned based on its population and the GDP and population of the region to which it belongs. Purification and Properties of an Extracellular Polyhydroxybutyrate Depolymerase from Pseudomonas mendocina DSWY0601

An extracellular polyhydroxybutyrate（PHB） depolymerase was purified to homogeneity from the culture supernatant of a PHB-degrading bacterium, Pseudomonas mendocina DSWY0601, which was isolated from brewery sewage for the ability to form clear zones on the PHB mineral agar plates. The molecular weight of the purified PHB depolymerase as determined by sodium dodecyl sulfate-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis（SDS-PAGE） was ap- proximately 59800 at the optimal temperature and pH value being 50 ℃ and 8.5, respectively. PHB depolymerase was stable in a temperature range of 20--50 ℃ and sensitive to pH value within a pH range of 8.0-9.5. PHB depo- lymerase degraded poly-3-hydroxybutyrate-co-4-hydroxybutyrate（P3/4HB） and poly-3-hydroxybutyrate-co-3- hydroxyvalerate（PHBV） but did not degrade poly（lactic acid）（PLA）, poly（butylene succinate）（PBS） or poly- （caprolactone）（PCL）. PHB depolymerase was sensitive to phenylmethylsulfonyl fluoride（PMSF）, H202 and SDS. The main product after enzymatic degradation of PHB was indentified as 3-hydroxbutyrate monomer（3HB） by mass spectrometric analysis, suggesting that PHB depolymerase acted as an exo-type hydrolase. Analysis ofphaZpm gene reveals that PHB depolymerase is a typical denatured short-chain-length PHA（dPHAscL, PHA=polyhydroxyalkanoate） depolymerase containing catalytic domain, linker and substrate-binding domain.

Feedback control of boundary layer Tollmien-Schlichting waves using a simple model-based controller

The attenuation of spatially evolving instability Tollmien-Schlichting(T-S)waves in the boundary layer of a flat plate with zero pressure gradients using an active feedback control scheme is theoretically and numerically *** boundary layer is excited artificially by various perturbations to create a three-dimensional field of instability *** of actuators and sensors are distributed locally at the wall surface and connected together via a feedback *** key elements of this feedback control are the determination of the dynamic model of the flat plate boundary layer between the actuators and the sensors,and the design of the model-based feedback *** dynamic model is established based on the linear stability calculation which simulates the three-dimensional input-output behaviour of the boundary *** simplify the control problem,an uncoupled control mode of the dynamic model is made to capture only those dynamics that have greatest influences on the input-output behaviour.A Proportional-Integral-Derivative(PID)controller,i.e.a lead-lag compensator,combining with a standard Smith predictor is designed based on the system stability criterion and the specifications using frequency-response *** performance of the feedback control with the uncoupled control mode is demonstrated by the large reduction of the three-dimensional disturbances in the boundary *** simple feedback control is realistic and competitive in a practical implementation of T-S wave cancellation using a limited number of localised sensors and actuators.

18S,5.8S,and 28S ribosomal RNAs(rRNAs)are cotranscribed as a pre-ribosomal RNA(pre-rRNA)from the rDNA by RNA polymerase I whose activity is vigorous during the S-phase,leading to a conflict with rDNA *** conflict is resolved partly by replication-fork-barrier(RFB)-sites sequences located downstream of the rDNA and RFB-binding proteins such as ***,how Ttf1 is displaced from RFB-sites to allow replication fork progression remains ***,we reported that loss-of-function of Bms1l,a nucleolar GTPase,upregulates rDNA transcription,causes replication-fork stall,and arrests cell cycle at the S-to-G2 transition;however,the G1-to-S transition is constitutively active characterized by persisting DNA ***,ubf,tif-IA,and taf1b marking rDNA transcription,Chk2,Rad51,and p53 marking DNA-damage response,and Rpa2,PCNA,Fen1,and Ttf1 marking replication fork stall are all highly elevated in bms1l *** found that Bms1 interacts with Ttf1 in addition to ***,we identified RFB-sites for zebrafish Ttf1 through chromatin immunoprecipitation sequencing and showed that Bms1 disassociates the Ttf1–RFB complex with its GTPase *** propose that Bms1 functions to balance rDNA transcription and replication at the S-phase through interaction with Rcl1 and Ttf1,***1 and Bms1 together might impose an S-phase checkpoint at the rDNA loci.

Numerical modeling of fracture propagation of supercritical CO_(2)compound fracturing

The exploitation of shale gas is promising due to depletion of the conventional energy and intensification of the greenhouse *** this paper,we proposed a heat-fluid-solid coupling damage model of supercritical CO_(2)(SC-CO_(2))compound fracturing which is expected to be an efficient and environmentally friendly way to develop shale *** coupling model is solved by the finite element method,and the results are in good agreement with the analytical solutions and fracturing *** on this model,the fracture propagation characteristics at the two stages of compound fracturing are studied and the influence of pressurization rate,in situ stress,bedding angle,and other factors are *** results show that at the SC-CO_(2)fracturing stage,a lower pressurization rate is conducive to formation of the branches around main fractures,while a higher pressurization rate inhibits formation of the branches around main fractures and promotes formation of the main *** bedding and in situ stress play a dominant role in the fracture *** the in situ stress ratio(δ_(x)/δ_(y))is 1,the presence of bedding can reduce the initiation pressure and failure ***,it will cause the fracture to propagate along the bedding direction,reducing the fracture *** rocks without bedding,hydraulic fracturing has the lengthening and widening effects for SC-CO_(2)induced *** shale,fractures induced at the hydraulic fracturing stage are more likely to be dominated by in situ stresses and have a shorter reorientation ***,fracture branches propagating along the maximum principal stress direction may be generated around the main fractures induced by SC-CO_(2)at the hydraulic fracturing *** the branches converge with the main fractures,fracture zones are easily formed,and thus the fracture complexity and damage area can be significantly *** results are instructive for the design and application of SC

The effects of SO_(2) on an one-pot synthesized Cu-SSZ-13 catalyst for selective reduction of NO_(x) by NH_(3) were *** addition of SO_(2) inhibited NO_(x) conversion significantly below 300℃,while no effect on NO_(x) conversion was observed above 300℃.TGA,TPD,and XPS results showed that the deactivation was caused by the formation of(NH4)2SO_(4),SO_(2) chemisorption on the isolated Cu^(2+)ion sites,as well as the formation of CuSO_(4)-like *** them,the site-blocking effect of(NH_(4))_(2)SO_(4) on Cu^(2+)was the primary reason for ***,89%of deNO_(x) activity of the poisoned catalyst was recovered after thermal treatment at 500℃ in air,where(NH_(4))_(2)SO_(4) was completely *** activity was further recovered with regeneration temperature increasing to 600℃,removing the adsorbed SO_(2) on the Cu^(2+)*** regeneration at 600℃ could not recover the activity completely,because of the high stability of CuSO_(4)-like species.
