Gastric cancers are caused primarily due to the activation and amplification of the EGFR or HER2 kinases resulting in cell proliferation,adhesion,angiogenesis,and *** therapies are ineffective due to the intra-tumoral heterogeneity and concomitant genetic ***,dual inhibition strategies are recommended to increase potency and reduce *** this study,we have conducted computational high-throughput screening of the ChemBridge library followed by in vitro assays and identified novel selective inhibitors that have a dual impediment of EGFR/HER2 kinase ***-based High-throughput Virtual Screening(D-HTVS)was used to screen the whole ChemBridge small molecular library against EGFR and *** atomistic molecular dynamic simulation was conducted to understand the dynamics and stability of the protein-ligand ***/HER2 kinase enzymes,KATOIII,and Snu-5 cells were used for in vitro *** atomistic Molecular Dynamics simulations followed by solvent-based Gibbs binding free energy calculation of top molecules,identified compound C3(5-(4-oxo-4H-3,1-benzoxazin-2-yl)-2-[3-(4-oxo-4H-3,1-benzoxazin-2-yl)phenyl]-1H-isoindole-1,3(2H)-dione)to have a good affinity for both EGFR and *** predicted compound,C3,was promising with better binding energy,good binding pose,and optimum interactions with the EGFR and HER2 residues.C3 inhibited EGFR and HER2 kinases with IC50 values of 37.24 and 45.83 nM,*** GI50 values of C3 to inhibit KATOIII and Snu-5 cells were 84.76 and 48.26 nM,*** on these findings,we conclude that the identified compound C3 showed a conceivable dual inhibitory activity on EGFR/HER2 kinase,and therefore can be considered as a plausible lead-like molecule for treating gastric cancers with minimal side effects,though testing in higher models with pharmacokinetic approach is required.

Estrogen receptor(ER)αis expressed in a subset of patient-derived acute myeloid leukemia(AML)cells,whereas Akt is predominantly expressed in most types of *** AML with dual inhibitors is a novel approach to combat the ***,we examined a novel small molecule,3-(4-isopropyl)benzylidene-8-ethoxy,6-methyl,chroman-4-one(SBL-060),capable of targeting AML cells by inhibiting ERαand Akt *** chemical properties of SBL-060 were identified by proton nuclear magnetic resonance(^(1)H-NMR),^(13)C-NMR,and mass *** silico docking was performed using an automated protocol with ***-1 and HL-60 cell lines were differentiated using phorbol 12-myristate ***αinhibition was assessed using *** MTT assay assessed cell *** cytometry was performed for cell cycle,apoptosis,and p-Akt *** analysis identified the compound as 3-(4-isopropyl)benzylidene-8-ethoxy,6-methyl,chroman-4-one,which showed high binding efficacy toward ER,with aΔG_(binding) score of−7.4 kcal/***-060 inhibited ERα,exhibiting IC50 values of 448 and 374.3 nM in THP-1 and HL-60 cells,*** inhibited cell proliferation,GI50 values of SBL-060 were 244.1 and 189.9 nM for THP-1 and HL-60 cells,*** addition,a dose-dependent increase in sub G_(0)/G_(1) phase cell cycle arrest and total apoptosis was observed after treatment with SBL-060 in both cell ***-060 also dose-dependently increased the p-Akt-positive populations in both THP-1 and HL-60 *** results indicate that SBL-060 has excellent efficacy against differentiated AML cell types by inhibiting ER and Akt kinase,warranting further preclinical evaluations.

Heat Transfer Enhancement of the Absorber Tube in a Parabolic Trough Solar Collector through the Insertion of Novel Cylindrical Turbulators

This study includes an experimental and numerical analysis of the performances of a parabolic trough collector(PTC)with and without cylindrical *** PTC is designed with dimensions of 2.00 m in length and 1.00 m in *** related reflector is made of lined sheets of aluminum,and the tubes are made of stainless steel used for the absorption of *** have an outer diameter of 0.051 m and a wall thickness of 0.002 ***,used as a heat transfer fluid(HTF),flows through the absorber tube at a mass flow rate of 0.7 kg/*** dimensions of cylindrical turbulators are 0.04 m in length and 0.047 m in *** are performed using the ANSYS Fluent 2020 R2 *** PTC performance is evaluated by comparing the experimental and numerical outcomes,namely,the outlet temperature,useful heat,and thermal efficiency for a modified tube(MT)(tube with novel cylindrical turbulators)and a plain tube(PT)(tube without novel cylindrical turbulators).According to the results,the experimental outlet temperatures recorded 63.2°C and 50.5°C for the MT and PT,*** heat gain reaches 1137.5 Win the MT and 685.8 Win the *** to the PT collector,the PTC exhibited a(1.64 times)higher efficiency.

Irrigation and Thermal Buffering Using Mathematical Modeling

Two methods of irrigation,drip,and sprinkler were studied to determine the response of the Javits green roof to *** control study was dry unirrigated *** irrigation consisted of irrigation tubes running through the green roof that would water the soil throughout and sprinkler irrigation used a sprinkler system to irrigate the green roof from *** all cases,the irrigated roofs had increased the soil moisture,reduced temperatures of both the upper and lower surfaces,reduced growing medium temperatures and reduced air temperatures above the green roof relative to the unirrigated *** buffered temperature fluctuations were also studied via air conditioner energy *** was a 28%reduction in air conditioner energy consumption and a 33%reduction in overall energy consumption between dry and irrigated *** of thermal resistance or S were determined for accuracy and for this study,there was little change which is ideal.A series of infra-red and thermal probe measurements were used to determine temperatures in the air and *** was determined that the sprinkler irrigation did a better job than the drip irrigation in keeping cooler temperatures within the green roof.A Mann-Whitney U test was performed to verify the variation in moisture temperatures buffering energy *** getting a p-value<0.05,it indicates that the model is accurate for prediction and medium temperatures were statistically different.

The diversity of data sources resulted in seeking effective manipulation and *** challenge that arises from the increasing dimensionality has a negative effect on the computation performance,efficiency,and stability of *** of the most successful optimization algorithms is Particle Swarm Optimization(PSO)which has proved its effectiveness in exploring the highest influencing features in the search space based on its fast convergence and the ability to utilize a small set of parameters in the search *** research proposes an effective enhancement of PSO that tackles the challenge of randomness search which directly enhances PSO *** the other hand,this research proposes a generic intelligent framework for early prediction of orders delay and eliminate orders backlogs which could be considered as an efficient potential solution for raising the supply chain *** proposed adapted algorithm has been applied to a supply chain dataset which minimized the features set from twenty-one features to ten significant *** confirm the proposed algorithm results,the updated data has been examined by eight of the well-known classification algorithms which reached a minimum accuracy percentage equal to 94.3%for random forest and a maximum of 99.0 for Naïve ***,the proposed algorithm adaptation has been compared with other proposed adaptations of PSO from the literature over different *** proposed PSO adaptation reached a higher accuracy compared with the literature ranging from 97.8 to 99.36 which also proved the advancement of the current research.

Unraveling the nature of sensing in electrostatic MEMS gas sensors

This paper investigates the fundamental sensing mechanism of electrostatic MEMS gas sensors. It compares among the responsivities of a set of MEMS isopropanol sensors before and after functionalization, and in the presence and absence of electrostatic fields when operated in static and dynamic detection modes. In the static mode, we found that the sensors do not exhibit a measurable change in displacement due to added mass. On the other hand, bare sensors showed a clear change in displacement in response to isopropanol vapor. In the dynamic mode, functionalized sensors showed a measurable frequency shift due to the added mass of isopropanol vapor. In the presence of strong electrostatic fields, the measured frequency shift was found to be threefold larger than that in their absence in response to the same concentration of isopropanol vapor. The enhanced responsivity of dynamic detection allows the sensors to measure the vapor mass captured by the functional material, which is not the case for static detection. The detection of isopropanol by bare sensors in static mode shows that change in the medium permittivity is the primary sensing mechanism. The enhanced responsivity of dynamic mode sensors when operated in strong electrostatic fields shows that their sensing mechanism is a combination of a weaker added mass effect and a stronger permittivity effect. These findings show that electrostatic MEMS gas sensors are independent of the direction of the gravitational field and are, thus, robust to changes in alignment. It is erroneous to refer to them as 'gravimetric' sensors.

Poultry is a light-sensitive animal and the light environment has an important influence on the growth and development of these animals. Previous studies have mainly focused on the effects of the light environment on various physiological indicators of poultry but seldom explored the light demand characteristics of broilers under free selection. This experiment mainly studied the light demand characteristics of broilers under a yellow LED light environment and the influence of different breeding densities [low-density (2.5 broilers/m2), high-density (7.5 broilers/m2)] on the production performance and diet characteristics of broilers. Studies showed that the production performance indexes of low-density groups are higher than those of high-density groups. The feed and water consumption in the light area of the two experimental groups were significantly higher than those in the dark area, which means that the broilers showed a great preference for the light area. However, as the age of the broilers increased, the food and water consumption of the broilers decreased, indicating that broilers had a lower preference for light in the middle and late stages of growth. The statistical results for the residence frequency distribution characteristics showed that broiler chickens had different light requirements at different growth stages under the condition of active selection: 1) low-density breeding environment: 23.8L (light):0.2D (dark) for chicks and 22.3L:1.7D for adult broilers; 2) high-density breeding environment: 22.6L:1.4D for chicks and 15.0L:9.0D for adult broilers.
