Tin mine tailings(TMT)and fuming slag(FS)contain many heavy metals(As,Cr,Cu,Zn and Mn)that cause severe pollution to the ***,geopolymers were prepared using TMT,FS and flue gas desulfurization gypsum(FGDG)to immobilize heavy metals,and their compressive strength and heavy metal leaching toxicity were *** was first determined that T4F5(TMT:FS=4:5)sample exhibited the highest compressive strength(7.83 MPa).T4F5 achieved 95%immobilization efficiency for As and Cr,and nearly 100%for Cu,Zn and Mn,showing good immobilization performance.A series of characterization analyses showed that heavy metal cations can balance the charge in the geopolymer and replace Al in the geopolymer structure to form covalent *** addition,about 2%–20%of heavy metal Fe was immobilized in hydration products,heavy metal hydroxides and non-bridging Si–O and Al–O coordination with silica-aluminate ***_(3)^(3−) was oxidized into AsO_(4)^(3−),which may form Ca–As or Fe–As ***_(2)O_(7)^(2−)was converted to CrO_(4)^(2−)under alkaline environment and then combined with OH−to form Cr(OH)3 ***^(2+)may react directly with dissolved silicate to form Mn_(2)SiO_(4) and also form Mn(OH)_(2) *** unstable Mn(OH)_(2) can be further oxidized to MnO_(2).The heavy metal cations were immobilized in the silicoaluminate lattice,while the anions tended to form insoluble *** results may benefit the industry and government for better handling of TMT,FS and solid wastes containing the abovementioned five heavy metals.

In this paper,an adaptive composite anti-disturbance control of heavy haul trains(HHTs)is ***,the mechanical principle and characteristics of couplers are analysed and the longitudinal multi-particles nonlinear dynamic model of HHTs is established,which can satisfy that the forces of vehicles in different positions are ***,a radial basis function network(RBFNN)is employed to approximate the uncertainties of HHTs,and a nonlinear disturbance observer(NDO)is constructed to estimate the approximation error and external *** indicate and improve the approximation accuracy,a serial-parallel identification model of HHTs is constructed to generate a prediction error,and an adaptive composite anti-disturbance control scheme is developed,where the prediction error and tracking error are employed to update RBFNN weights and an auxiliary variable of ***,the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed control scheme are demonstrated through the Lyapunov theory and simulation experiments.

As one locus of extraordinary collocations,poeticized language features expressions that depart from the physical reality,involving the subjective transformation of objects in the mental *** subjectivity renders extraordinary collocations resistant to rational readings,resulting in two types of constructions:“innovative”collocations and“self-created”*** meaning construction in the former is easier to achieve than in the latter;the former entails the“rational evaluation”and the latter the“speculative evaluation”processes in *** its rule-breaking defiance caused by meaning obscurity compensated for by rich implied meaning and positive aesthetic feedback,the“self-created”collocations are regarded as poetic and re-accepted by the ***,the so-termed“poeticness”is derived from the positive feedback during the speculative evaluation process and constitutes the main substance of aesthetic interpretation.

The increasing global concern regarding plastic pollution has prompted the research into the consequences of microplastics(MPs)on aquatic *** shrimp Branchinella kugenumaensis are freshwater planktonic organisms that have existed for 250 million *** study aimed to uncover the harmful effects of MPs,with a particular focus on their size variations(0.1,1,and 5μm),on the fairy *** focused on how MPs could significantly affect the survival and growth of fairy ***,larger MPs,especially those measuring 5μm,caused higher mortality rates and hindered the growth compared to smaller *** impact of MPs continued even subsequent to depuration in clean *** accumulation of MPs within the intestines of fairy shrimp resulted in intestinal blockages,disrupted excretory functions,and harmed intestinal epithelial *** at the histological,cellular,and molecular levels showed that exposure to MPs triggered necroptosis in intestinal cells,accompanied by alterations in pathways related to transcription,translation,digestion,energy metabolism,and neurological ***,the effects of MPs on gene expression and pathways varied based on particle size,with larger MPs having a more significant effect and causing a strong response in xenobiotic biodegradation and metabolism *** suggest that the increasing severity of MPs pollution could pose a significant threat to the survival of fairy *** study provided vital insights into the complex relationship between microplastics and aquatic organisms,and highlighted the urgent need to address the potential devastating impact of plastic pollution on freshwater ***,due to their rapid growth,strong reproductive capacity,sensitivity,and ease of cultivation,fairy shrimp hold the potential candidate to serve as a model organism for studying the effects of MPs and other pollutants on freshwater ecosystems.

The persistent epidemic of human mpox, caused by mpox virus (MPXV), raises concerns about the future spread ofMPXV and other poxviruses. MPXV is a typical zoonotic virus which can infect human and cause smallpox-likesymptoms. MPXV belongs to the Poxviridae family, which has a relatively broad host range from arthropods tovertebrates. Cross-species transmission of poxviruses among different hosts has been frequently reported andresulted in numerous epidemics. Poxviruses have a complex linear double-strand DNA genome that encodeshundreds of proteins. Genes related to the host range of poxvirus are called host range genes (HRGs). This reviewbriefly introduces the taxonomy, phylogeny and hosts of poxviruses, and then comprehensively summarizes thecurrent knowledge about the cross-species transmission of poxviruses. In particular, the HRGs of poxvirus aredescribed and their impacts on viral host range are discussed in depth. We hope that this review will provide acomprehensive perspective about the current progress of researches on cross-species transmission and HRGvariation of poxviruses, serving as a valuable reference for academic studies and disease control in the future.

Cobalt sulphides attract much attention as anode materials for Li-ion batteries(LIBs).However,its poor conductivity,low initial column efficiency and large volume changes during cycling have hindered its further ***,novel interlaced CoS nanosheets were firstly prepared on Carbon Fiber Cloth(CFC)by two hydrothermal reactions followed with carbon coating via carbonizing dopamine(CoS NS@C/CFC).As a freestanding anode,the nanosheet structure of CoS not only accommodates the volume variation,but also provides a large interface area to proceed the charge transfer *** addition,CFC works as both a three-dimensional skeleton and an active substance which can further improve the areal capacity of the resulting ***,the coated carbon combined with the CFC work as a 3D conductive network to facilitate the electron *** obtained CoS NS@C/CFC,and the contrast sample prepared with the same procedure but without carbon coating(CoS NS/CFC),are characterized with XRD,SEM,TEM,XPS and electrochemical *** results show that the CoS NS@C/CFC possesses much improved electrochemical performance due to the synergistic effect of nanosheet CoS,the coated carbon and the CFC substrate,exhibiting high initial columbic efficiency(~87%),high areal capacity(2.5 at 0.15 mA cm−2),excellent rate performance(1.6 at 2.73 mA cm−2)and improved cycle stability(87.5%capacity retention after 300 cycles).This work may provide a new route to explore freestanding anodes with high areal specific capacity for LIBs.
